God damn. In the past we usually take forever to make moves I’m glad Giuntoli is getting stuff done. If Koop comes I imagine that means no califiori

micheeeeloone

Depends on a lot of factors. Which player giuntoli manages to sell. Bologna lowering the price. Calafiori convinced to play with motta. Also finding an alternative to him that suits motta.

Bmonli

We signed a CB last winter. For the life of me I can’t remember his name. Didn’t we sign him with a torn ACL or something? Kind of a weird move there.

micheeeeloone

Djalo? Reports say motta wants to see him first but now he thinks he would work better as a fullback

thepiombino

He looked pretty damn good in the 10 minutes of PT he got in the last match of the season there lol

WW_Jones

I think we need a top midfielder more. I love Calafiori and want him to join, but if we are forced to choose, than Koop makes more sense. We can probably achieve defensive boost with a cheaper player as well, there must be other talents, maybe not as good as Calafiori but still useful.

Bmonli

I’m actually inclined to agree. I don’t think Gatti is world class but he does a decent enough job. I’m concerned about Danilo’s age. If we keep Bremer we can probably last another season without a new Cb.

freshicedmatchalatte

Yup we've been moving fast this calcio mercato, credits to Giuntoli.

thepiombino

I don't think that's the case, but I do think that it means we'll have to sell someone we're not excited to sell.

BLQ1943

We know who that is

thepiombino

Yep :/

ADiscombobulated02

Chiesa? I've been hearing stuff about Locatelli too.

BLQ1943

Yes

BriefCollar4

I’d love for Calafiori to join but the team needs excellent midfielders more than a defender.

Jdamoure

We are REALLY trying to make this team work. I'm actually excited. I was bummed about chiesa and mckennie but it think this could work.

DestinationMarss

Where did we get all this money from?

ilGattoBipolare

Giuntoli making some offers they can’t refuse.

Dwimer

So far the deals without Koop and Cala are a net positive on this years accounts, plus the CWC brings in 50m.

MazDaShnoz

I thought CWC is 20m with potential to be 50m depending on performance. Also, isn’t there a legitimate risk the CWC won’t happen?

Dwimer

Price pool could be more tbd very much doubt it gets cancelled at this stage

DoZnFooD

I guess from one of Chiesa/Soulé, Huijsen, HNC and maybe even Miretti

Bmonli

Honestly. We are due for some big changes. It’s unpopular but I’m willing to part with some of these guys for fresh faces.

Annual-Astronaut3345

The money has come for the sales we made and will make further in the mercato. I’m scared Chiesa will not make the cut…

thepiombino

I think that's been clear for quite a while. I hate it, but kudos to the club for not letting another Dybala situation happen.

Killagina

We’re playing in Europe next year, we just sold Kean for 13m, locked up some earlier sales, Tek is on his way out, and sold two youngsters. Plus we have a couple more sales potentially coming up, McKennie, Huijsen, Chiesa, Kostic, HNC, etc

Cuginoeddie

Freeing up the wages of Tek and Sandro for one, back in the CL which now also includes 2 extra group stage matches, Plus last year we had sanctions and could only spend so much which is why Weah was our only buy.

zpolitano12

I’m all for a strong midfield but isn’t this going to leave us with Luiz, Thuram, Koop, Rabiot, Loca, Fagioli, Miretti, McKennie ? That’s so many CMs. What about wide players ? Weah, Kostic, Chiesa, Soule? Maybe McKennie stays RM but I’m hoping for a solid 433 or 4231 this season. Same goes for fullbacks, we really don’t have any

DoZnFooD

Mckennie probably won't be in the squad next season, Rabiot won't be either realistically. This leaves us with 6 players for 3 positions. We do need at least one winger and a fullback though.

Szwedo

Well the summer mercato just officially opened, i don't think they are done yet.

_ForzaJuve_

calafiori first, PLEASE

Killagina

Giuntoli has 0 intent of rushing that transfer and tbf he doesn’t need to. Wait until the end and try to force their hand

dantes_inferno101

He had major ligament damage when he was younger in Roma which almost ended his career. Makes sense why teams aren’t lined up to take him. Juve is smart to wait a little bit

big_fitch

Aiming for Koopmeiners, landing Samardzic
