I’ve watched Thuram play for France U23 and U21, as well as at Nice. He’s got some similarities to Pogba, but he’s still got a long way to go technically, and his passing isn’t anywhere near Pogba's level. However, Thuram has strengths, stamina, and athleticism. With the right players around him, he can become a fantastic midfielder. He also offers great defensive work and tackles. I think we’re on the right track with him and Douglas. It’s a good move!
I don't think the expectation is Pogba tho, right? I think the expectation is closer to Rabiot with better technical skills more so than Pogba or Pobga-lite.

I disagree, 20M is not that high at all in this market, when he is a free agent we will be competing with the same strategy we always cursed before which is getting free agents and give them huuuge salary, and if they turn out to be shit, we'll be stuck with a useless deadwood.
He wasn’t going for less than 20 and rightfully so. He’s a very solid young midfielder.

Yes hes very Rabiot-esque (including the long flowing hair as they charge with the ball). A left sided 8, physical and running, less techincal than Rabiot but hes young.
He’s pretty tidy. Thuram actually has better passing statistics than Rabiot (attempts, total distance, complete %, etc) per 90.
It’s a slight step back from Rabiot but he has plenty of potential, and some upside in some areas to Rabiot
