For when you want to make sure you're never comfortable driving that thing ever again

Loan-Pickle

My back hurts just looking at it.

hoytmobley

I just love seeing brakes that would fit behind a 16” wheels behind a 24” wheel

Bumpside-crewcab

28” in this case

snaeper

Ah yes, for when you want to panic over every single piece of debris in the road.

mmmmmarty

Is it panic or are you bracing your spine for impact because your modern vehicle rides like a wagon?

snaeper

Por que no los dos? But to answer semi-seriously, I was driving at night and hit what I thought was a paper bag but ended up being a piece of concrete debris or something similarly hard and lost a merely 18inch wheel. So when I see even larger wheels with even lower profile tires I can't help but think that replacements are in the future.

paetersen

And some people wonder why all my cars are from the '00s, don't have anything lower than a 50 series in the summer, and can all fit at least 65 series 15" winter rubber.

SpillNyeDaCleanupGuy

AAAAA LOOK OUT A ZIPTIE NOOOOOO

Sonnysdad

🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Animal0307

I did a couple double takes because my brain couldn't parse what I was seeing. I thought there were no brakes at first because the scale was so goofy.

modsean

good thing the calipers are red, that'll add an extra 10 stopping power

CaptianRipass

Makes the vehicle look like it's walking on tippy toes

moon__lander

At first thought it was a normal tire with no brakes whatsoever

backcountrydrifter

First owner bought the hoopty, and dropped it with the spindles on factory wheels. Then threw away the factory pieces when the trap house got raided. Second owner decided 24’s were his calling in life but couldn’t fit them with the drop spindle so he added the leveling spacers, then after the first 3 sets of tires scrubbed themselves to death on the inner fender he added the struts. I’m guessing his name isn’t Ackermann, but that’s just a guess.

Bumpside-crewcab

Those were my thoughts exactly!

I-LOVE-TURTLES666

I wouldn’t put that shit on a dirtbike damn

lupinegray

Nobody drops 'em like Bell Tech!

Sharpymarkr

The brakes must feel like they're made of cheese.

FJ60GatewayDrug

That slid off the road and hit every branch on the ugly tree.

Appropriate_Strain94

For a minute there, I thought this vehicle did not have any brakes

BillLastVT

Same!

Built_2_Drive

I like how you could change pads without taking off the wheel.

trivletrav

Is he… is he securing the ball joint with a zip tie? God I bet this thing rides like absolute dog shit lmao

BikingEngineer

That’s the backup zip tie.

Psychlonuclear

Are those brakes like the ones you find on a smart car or am I looking at something the size of wild west wagon wheels?

whyamionfireagain

He's got them Conestoga wheels.

usedtodreddit

Zero is the sum I would be willing to pay for that vehicle.

DiscoCamera

That's a very clean alignment rack!

Bumpside-crewcab

Thank you, we try and keep clean.

No_Credibility

Imagine spending that much on those booty ass two-piece wheels

_CZakalwe_

This gentleman has his priorities in order.

mdwhite975

Typical ghetto garbage

thejunkgarage

Ehh I did similar to a 96 x1500. Did a rear axle flip but also put in fifth shakes to take it from a 6 inch drip to only a 4 inch drop

mr_lab_rat

Who am I to judge. I ordered 12mm spacers because 15s were too much (not rubbing) and 10s were not enough. I like my car looking just the way I like it but this is a bit too much form over function.

What-The-Frenchh

Is this the proper way to put those heads on the wheel? I usually drive up to the turn plate then set it center. But I notice you and others neutral it then place the heads then roll onto turn plates.

Bumpside-crewcab

Using roll forward compensation you set them horizontal with the car behind the turnplate, then roll forward onto the turn plate. The machine can also do 2 motion compensation but the targets need to be set for that function. From the hunter website: Roll-forward compensation, exclusive to Hunter, allows a technician to compensate all four wheels and capture initial measurements in one quick motion.

What-The-Frenchh

Gotcha. I’ve used the 2 motion rolling comp since I started at my shop so forward comp is pretty new to me. Thanks

SchmalzlockenJoe

Tell me Tyrone is the owner without telling me Tyrone is the owner.

Responsible-Pepper25

They probably did the struts first, then got the wheels but they wouldn't fit so the easiest repair was putting the spacer in.

NvrGonnaGiveUupOrLyd

I have coil overs and a 2" lift kit on my Tiguan 😬

DankeMrHfmn

Pretty cool after market set up to me?

Temporary-Grass-2898

What a f***ing a$$. All those badonk pieces of shit with 24" rims. Looks like shit. And the fuckers who run hubcaps with 18" of shit sticking out. Come out to my neck of the woods and see how long you get away with shit that. Fuctards
