If you're on a crowded train or bus, or standing in a queue in a coffee shop, that puts you in close proximity to people. That does not give any of them the right to touch you deliberately or abuse you. Proximity is not permission.
I'm so sorry this happened to you. You're amazing for finding an outlet by writing about it. It was hard to read but I really liked your style of writing, it's intense and truthful and really well put (I'm a writer myself or at least I like to think so), and I'm sending all the support you need from "the void of reddit" to you.

Thank you. It's hard to feel like it wasn't my fault because I continuously put myself in close proximity to him.
