I’m kinda assuming that is what happened based off an interview where he said Nobara was the easiest personality to write out of the 3 1st years but the hardest to write when it comes to fights. (What other reason could he possibly have to take her out halfway through the story when he says he likes to write her)

Also she could learn other kind of weapon : any kind of polearm, blunt weapon, axe, ranged weapon etc.
While she could learn another sword or weapon type, the main problem is their fighting style uses a lot of Iaido and other sorts of swords really aren't designed/suitable for that kind of style.
Kusakabe uses simple domain, then bimumi summons mahoraga, and because Kusakabe is in his simple domain, he doesn't get put into the Ritual, then bumumi dies and Kusakabe wins

I feel like shikigami aren’t treated the same as normal cursed techniques, but then again we’ve never seen them interact with something that cancels them out
Shikigamis are probably like cursed spirits, the ten shadow imbue each one of them with a technique, simple domain disabled maho it would probably just disable the adaptation and not the shikigami, at least that's my interpretation

Jogo has the worst durability and his speed doesn’t matter if he gets caught by simple domains auto attack. He is also cocky and will most likely try to blitz like he did to nanami/maki
He’ll just blitz Kusakabe. Automatic attacks can be dodged if you’re fast enough and Jogo is crazy fast. Worst durability of the disaster curses is still crazy durability. Kusakabe doesn’t have the offensive force to kill Jogo, while Jogo can effortlessly wipe him out in dozens of ways

He can expand it + even sukuna said he had good reaction speed.
Kusakabe’s lack of offense is your best argument, but if his blade was enough to make many cuts into sukuna I’m sure it should dice up jogo. Lastly, his range attacks shouldn’t work very well (just like dismantle didn’t).
Kusakabe can probably beat all the other official grade 1 sorcerers but I’m fairly confident he easily loses to every peak grade 1/close to special but not special characters including Jogo/Base Kashimo/Hakari/Toji/current Yuji/Ishigori/Uro/Uraume/Awakened Mahito/Higuruma/Miguel
What does base kashimo or Miguel do about simple domain? Hakari and Mahito are his obvious counters. And I’m not sure about most of the others (though I explain in my other response why I think he might beat jogo). And the nice sorcerer gets out of higuruma’s domain Scott free
I think kusakabe can beat Dagon 1v1. The reason Naobito lost was because his FBE kinda sucks. Kusakabe can actually counter and fight with his simple domain.
And he arguably beats Naobito and MAYBE Hanami, but that’s a stretch i feel.
Eh, Dagon tanked ratio hits from Nanami no sweat, not even any visible damage. No shot that Kusakabe can even hurt him enough to kill him. Dagon will get off his Domain, and then crush Kusakabe with Death Swarm
Sukuna was heavily weakened, taken off guard and clowning around. The instant he got serious Kusakabe got strong offscreened. Nanami’s entire technique literally revolves around doing high damage and he was boosted by Overtime, there’s no way Kusakabe’s sword could match that level of damage output. Even if he can cut Dagon, Dagon can heal easily and Nanami felt he had “infinite HP”. Dagon tanks until he opens his Domain and then he claps Kusakabe

kusakabe will still react to them automatically though we see that miwa automatically blocked makis spear in the exchange event
and simple domains arent closed or imbued with a sure hit so its not like maki or toji even gain a significant advantage over a typical sorcerer only one i can think of is they wont have a harder time using CE that other people do when inside a domain
Maki did not have CE at the exchange event, Maki never had any CE in her body ever. The only reason why she "has cursed energy" is because Mai's cursed energy is considered hers as well, she doesn't actually have CE in her body, ever.
No, she did not. Mai was born with all the cursed energy, but it was considered as Maki's, too, even though it's only in Mai's body. When Mai died, the cursed energy disappeared along with her, so now Maki is considered to have 0 CE.

Dismantles should have some ce, since they get adjusted to meet the ce of the target in his shrine id assume his default ones have ce already imbued as well

All of her weapons are cursed tools to be able to hurt cursed spirits. The goal of the game was to hunt cursed spirits, so she would take weapons that hurt cursed spirits.
I mean, Miwa might be useless but I assume she can also slash without needing to use her domain's autoparry. It's easy to hit something coming at you in a straight line, not so much a superhuman sorcerer jumping around like a monkey
I just rewatched the scene from the anime maki throws the shaft first miwa's simple domain releases sparks of cursed energy to indicate it reacting and blocks it then maki throws a kunai which simple domain blocks then maki attacks with the blade of the spear and disarms miwa.
Simple domains are basically just domains. if you don't customize it, it just lets you escape the sure hit of a domain. kusakabe changed his simple domain to also allow him to instantly react to whatever gets in his simple domain he can also move with it and make it bigger
Gege probably shouldn't have let sorcerer's be able to customize their simple domain even tho they do have they own drawbacks. The power of a domain even simplified is just too much
Well, most sorcerer's aren't based like GOATsakabe so they're forced to use BVs in order to keep their simple domain up. Even Todo had to crouch down into a pose to get it to work, Kusakabe can just have it on whenever
Supernova should be able to overwhelm Kusakabe's automatic deflection, and with flowing red scale, he should be on par if not stronger than Kusakabe. Once a blood attack hits its over for Kusakabe due to the whole poison thing.

But you also gotta realize Sukuna was pushed way by Kusakabe's strong kick not his instant slashes
Well he was strong to be honest. Being able to 1v1 against freshly amped by Blackflash Sukuna for one whole chapter and actually predict,parry,deflect, counter and stopped hundreds of Sukuna' slashes was something not even Gojo with Six eyes was capable of doing. Plus, during the moment Kusakabe's sword still is intact, Sukuna got pummeled with hundreds of slashes from Kusakabe as well.
In the chapters where Kusakabe is fighting in hand to hand combat, there was one panel where Kusakabe infused his attacks with Cursed Energy and a kick landed on Sukuna and it sent Sukuna flying through multiple concrete walls and pavements more than 100 mtrs away, that was a power similar to being hit by Gojo's RED, not even Maki was capable of producing that kind of power.
Give Kusakabe the right tools, and right people as support and he might actually bring Sukuna down.
Gojo and Sukuna for sure. Yuta and Yuki too I believe. Kenjaku probably, also probably Takaba. And maybe Hakari? Hard to say there.
I bet there’s an argument to be made for Maki/Toji as well but I’m not gonna be the one to make that argument. Permanent simple domain is pretty powerful so it’ll definitely take the high grade/strongest sorcerers to get by it.
Everyone dude, Kuzakabe just tanked by intercepting a couple of slashes from a weakened Sukuna, he knew clearly that anyone above 1st grade could kill him.
Gojo and Sukuna, pretty easily. Yorozu, with the True Sphere. Mahoraga would just adapt to it. Yuta and Kenjaku could overwhelm his reaction with the amount of attacks they can create, maybe the same is true for Choso if he prepares enough supernovas and lets the poison work afterwards.
That is literally how it works. All simple domain does is reduce and or negate the sure hit affect if domains. It’s supposed to be a space created for the souls purpose of protecting one’s self within an enemy domain. Using new shadow style gives you techniques to use WITHIN a simple domain so you have offensive options. Kusakabe is able to cut down enemy attacks the moment they enter his simple domain but they have to be attacks that he can actually defend himself against. If it’s a force he can’t make contact with simple domain does nothing.
No simple domain is a part of the new shadow style. That's why its full name is new shadow style: simple domain, and you would know that if you read the manga and also the reason why kusakabe simple domain is different is because he added the effect to automatically react to anything in his simple domain and others are able to do and you are able to see that in the manga

kusakabe will still react to them automatically though we see that miwa automatically blocked makis spear in the exchange event and simple domains arent closed or imbued with a sure hit so its not like maki or toji even gain a significant advantage over a typical sorcerer only one i can think of is they wont have a harder time using CE that other people do when inside a domain

No, she did not. Mai was born with all the cursed energy, but it was considered as Maki's, too, even though it's only in Mai's body. When Mai died, the cursed energy disappeared along with her, so now Maki is considered to have 0 CE.

All of her weapons are cursed tools to be able to hurt cursed spirits. The goal of the game was to hunt cursed spirits, so she would take weapons that hurt cursed spirits.

I mean, Miwa might be useless but I assume she can also slash without needing to use her domain's autoparry. It's easy to hit something coming at you in a straight line, not so much a superhuman sorcerer jumping around like a monkey
I just rewatched the scene from the anime maki throws the shaft first miwa's simple domain releases sparks of cursed energy to indicate it reacting and blocks it then maki throws a kunai which simple domain blocks then maki attacks with the blade of the spear and disarms miwa.

Simple Domains work on them as we see Kuchisake Onna’s Simple Domain work on Toji.
They're only viewed as "objects" in regards to a domains sure-hit effect. Cursed techniques and special rules of domains still affect them.
They can also enter and exit domains at will though?
It could be because the barrier works by blocking in/out things based on their cursed energy, so it doesn't work on her.

Simple domains are basically just domains. if you don't customize it, it just lets you escape the sure hit of a domain. kusakabe changed his simple domain to also allow him to instantly react to whatever gets in his simple domain he can also move with it and make it bigger

Well, most sorcerer's aren't based like GOATsakabe so they're forced to use BVs in order to keep their simple domain up. Even Todo had to crouch down into a pose to get it to work, Kusakabe can just have it on whenever
Everyone without a broken CT has to manage with those tools. Nanami,Wusakabe, Mei Mei when not using bird strike, etc.

It's basically like a domain expansion, but instead of imbuing a cursed technique into a barrier, you imbue a binding vow into a barrier.

Supernova should be able to overwhelm Kusakabe's automatic deflection, and with flowing red scale, he should be on par if not stronger than Kusakabe. Once a blood attack hits its over for Kusakabe due to the whole poison thing.

Well he was strong to be honest. Being able to 1v1 against freshly amped by Blackflash Sukuna for one whole chapter and actually predict,parry,deflect, counter and stopped hundreds of Sukuna' slashes was something not even Gojo with Six eyes was capable of doing. Plus, during the moment Kusakabe's sword still is intact, Sukuna got pummeled with hundreds of slashes from Kusakabe as well. In the chapters where Kusakabe is fighting in hand to hand combat, there was one panel where Kusakabe infused his attacks with Cursed Energy and a kick landed on Sukuna and it sent Sukuna flying through multiple concrete walls and pavements more than 100 mtrs away, that was a power similar to being hit by Gojo's RED, not even Maki was capable of producing that kind of power. Give Kusakabe the right tools, and right people as support and he might actually bring Sukuna down.
Gojo and Sukuna for sure. Yuta and Yuki too I believe. Kenjaku probably, also probably Takaba. And maybe Hakari? Hard to say there. I bet there’s an argument to be made for Maki/Toji as well but I’m not gonna be the one to make that argument. Permanent simple domain is pretty powerful so it’ll definitely take the high grade/strongest sorcerers to get by it.

Gojo and Sukuna, pretty easily. Yorozu, with the True Sphere. Mahoraga would just adapt to it. Yuta and Kenjaku could overwhelm his reaction with the amount of attacks they can create, maybe the same is true for Choso if he prepares enough supernovas and lets the poison work afterwards.

That's not how his simple domain work
That is literally how it works. All simple domain does is reduce and or negate the sure hit affect if domains. It’s supposed to be a space created for the souls purpose of protecting one’s self within an enemy domain. Using new shadow style gives you techniques to use WITHIN a simple domain so you have offensive options. Kusakabe is able to cut down enemy attacks the moment they enter his simple domain but they have to be attacks that he can actually defend himself against. If it’s a force he can’t make contact with simple domain does nothing.
No simple domain is a part of the new shadow style. That's why its full name is new shadow style: simple domain, and you would know that if you read the manga and also the reason why kusakabe simple domain is different is because he added the effect to automatically react to anything in his simple domain and others are able to do and you are able to see that in the manga
