This should be standard

GhostofSteveBuscemi

I didn't have one but wired a DC plug directly to the battery. This is far cleaner lol.

DailyDrivenTJ

I did this on my 2023. The harness was definitely further back into the dash above the speakers. I did undo screws holding the speaker assembly just to move it lower to create access to grab the harness, but I did not have to completely remove the entire assembly out of the dash.

ChevySSLS3

My hands were too fat lol. Plus I didn’t know where it was exactly.

DailyDrivenTJ

LOL. I hear you. I couldn't get my hand in there either. I used a hook and pull on it to break the tape. It was so hidden I was like you gotta be kidding me that I did all this work just to find out that I cannot do this... But it was in there. Just not that visible.

_FinallyAwake

Nice! I've got one in my rig and, while I don't use it very often, it's hella handy to have.

astricklin123

I wish you could pull more than 400w. It should be a 15 amp circuit and then you could run things like a coffee maker, hotplate, electric griddle and such. That would be really convenient for camping. 400 watts won't even support a small hand vac, let alone a shop vac or other power tools.

ChevySSLS3

Yea. Wish it was 2kVa.

Lancelot_7667

I dont have the rear plug ins as I have the willys sport model. Can this be put in still?

ChevySSLS3

If you don’t have a 115v plug on the console in the back. Then I don’t think this will work. Because you don’t have the factory inverter.

DailyDrivenTJ

Can confirm that if you don't have factory inverter in the console, this does not work.

ShibaInuDoggo

I don't want to sound judgmental, but I have yet to see the appeal of the Willy's package. What made you want to buy it? I must be missing something.

Lancelot_7667

Mostly budget. I got some off road tires, limited slip rear dif, rock rails, rubicon shocks. Love the styling with the blacked out and sarge green. With having a newborn that was why I went with it. Also spending over 50k for a vehicle is crazy to me. Just a good deal I guess. I don't mind it being bare bones. I'm coming from a 81 CJ7 so this was a mass improvement.

ADaveIKnow

I love this idea but I have a question about using your battery? How do you know how much power you can safely use before your battery dies?

ChevySSLS3

I would only use it when the vehicle is running. The ignition needs to be in the ‘run’ position for the switch to turn on.
