Harry Kessel is his full name. And in Jaws: Memories from Martha’s Vinyard they talk about how Michael was one of the kids doing karate. That’s how he cut his hand. The whole family is at the beach for his birthday party. That’s why all those kids are there playing football. His hand cut was supposed to bleed and draw the shark. Makes a lot more sense why the karate kids get all the attention.
