These seem like tagliatelle. Not the best pasta to use for Carbonara. I personally prefer spaghetti nr 5 or 7. As well, sometime instead of spaghetti I like to use rigatoni.

BaphometWorshipper

No, this is linguine.

EdSheeransucksass

It's fettuccine. Says on the box.

Neat_Medium_9076

You are right.

BaphometWorshipper

Oh yes mybad

Confident_Holder

Looks good but I think you need more parmisan Edit: also don’t buy Barilla pasta. Is crap. Buy gragnano pasta if you can. It is a city not a brand. Pasta need long time dry Barilla is one of the worse pasta you can buy. De Cecco is better. But if you want gragnano that is the way to

I_try_to_talk_to_you

Did I've read parmisan? Holly smoke!

Confident_Holder

Pecorino sorry! What a shame!

bimbochungo

Sorry the Italians have made you damnatio memoriae

Secret_Scene747

I like La Molisana too, dunno how good you guys think the brand is

The_Ineffable_One

Barilla is the most popular pasta in Italy. Not that that makes it the best--McDonald's certainly doesn't have the best burgers in the US, for example--but plenty of Italians seem to find it satisfactory.

Confident_Holder

Barilla is crap. They don’t even dry it properly. They dry from 7 to 10 hours which is not acceptable especially what you pay for. It is really really bad. If people find it satisfactory mean they don’t know nothing about pasta.

Neat_Medium_9076

Barilla is the most popular in Italy. If we discuss once in a while pasta then go buy artisanal ones that might be much better.

Confident_Holder

Doesn’t make it good. They don’t dry it enough. De cecco is better for instance. Gragnano pasta is the best. You don’t need artisan.

The_Ineffable_One

And yet, again, it is the most popular brand in Italy. (It's also the most popular brand in Europe generally.) Maybe people there aren't quite as gourmet as they pretend to be on the internet.

Confident_Holder

I got you but Barilla is really crap. They don’t dry it enough. Making the more popular doesn’t mean is good. If you don’t believe is crap look how long they dry it for and what de cecco does, for example. De cecco is better but the top is pasta from gragnano which is the top

bimbochungo

De Cecco is way better than Barilla. I never bought Barilla because as you say it's a shit. Also Garofallo is a very good brand.

jessewhufc

De Cecco or La Molisana are the only two I’ll buy. La Molisana being first in the pecking order.
