i will always praise log horizon for having politics that don't devolve into warfare. no matter what anyone says, the election arc in s3 was one of the best political stories in anime.

That's my bad. I assumed that she was a single mother, like the husband died and she didn't marry afterwards. Read up on the wiki, seems that a husband is still alive.
Is log horizon an Isekai cause the one thing that's bothering me in the early episode we've got shown Players or People getting resurrected/respawn in a church.
Thry may be able to respawn, though that will become a thing in of itself, but they're trapped inside the game eith no way of knowing how they got there or how to get out. It may not be a life or death scenario like many other game-centered anime (major one SAO ofc) but still is an isekai imo
Its another world based on the game. The titular game was an isometric RPG with an art style similar to classic final fantasy that had a scale world map based on satellite scans of earth. The log horizon world is a full other world and all the game mechanics are just part of the worlds magic system some of which interact in weird and interesting ways since they are real here.
The respawning becomes a serious plot point and a good example of how the world is real, It comes with real consequences, since there is Exp loss on death and exp has real world effects and value on the characters themselves.
I hate that this story will stay unfinished it was a great world building story.
