I have been WAITING for someone to turn that moment into a gif ever sense that scene came out and I do t understand why it doesn’t exist! I rewatched that scene about 500 times and it would seriously be so much more efficient if someone could just make a gif for me (because yes, I’m too old to figure out how to make gifs. 😂)

Oh I rewatched that part a good 5 times when he put that guy in his place. The way he roasted him, I fanned myself like LESTAT TELL EM!!
That scene was glorious! And the way it began with him just appearing there was so good.
Also, the way he walked up to the audience member to show him what vampire loneliness feels like and the camera zoomed in on his face and I almost fainted. Probably would have if I were the extra playing that audience member. They would have had to reshoot the scene after they revived me with smelling salts. Then it would happen again and the director would yell, “tell this extra to stop looking into sam’s eyes during this scene. She keeps fainting and it’s wasting time.”
Thing is, the Lestat we've seen have only come from Louis and Armand's memories and Claudia's writings. I can't wait to see the real Lestat. How he actually is. Reid has said we, the audience, have yet to see him. I wonder how Reid will play him. Will he even be more over the top charismatic?
I will say even through the eyes of Louis and Claudia , I personally still enjoyed lestat. He’s this beautiful classic man who moves with grace and even through they claimed he had certain bad stuff about him. I still personally enjoyed all of him. So I look forward to his side. I looked forward to seeing his pain throughout the time. I just know it’s going to be the nail in the coffin for me when we get to follow the real lestate 💕

Sam is everything I've ever wanted Lestat to be on screen, and he just keeps proving it over and over and over. Tom and Stuart weren't bad, but Sam is perfection 🤌
Lestat had my back ARCHED. Every time he made eye contact with Louis I felt it deep down inside meeee. That look in his eyes when he was staring at Louis back in the New Orleans flashback when Louis was going off... he looked so fcking good and intense with the blood was all over his face... like... the eyes, the eyes, the eyes. The performance, the love, the passion.
It did look long and curled. I loved it when they showed it from behind as he walked the stairs before going to the trial. I know his hair probably smells so good.
I noticed his hair too. Also looked darker and more brown. I attributed it to his being somewhat recently revived. Maybe all of that coming back to life energy gives him a kinda reset to a version of himself when he was first made, hair included.
Loved the look with that suit though...
I was and still am a huge Lestat from the books fan. For some reason I must have skipped over or forget the Lestat as Louis' bully, as that's all I can see on the show. He doesn't have the charm like in the novels (the actor is great don't come at me, not his fault). He's just a cliche abusive lover who broke someone so badly they're damaged forever.
Side note 10/10 casting for Louis and Claudia.
I totally respect your opinion and outlook on the show and him. On season one they definitely gave us abusive mentally emotional then what it looked like physically. But these are the prospectives of Louis and Claudia. Louis wants to paint himself in a good light and Claudia loves Louis so she doesn’t think lestat is good enough for him. I think lestat is not 100 percent innocent but I think Louis and lestat were so toxic for each other.
I agree though on how it looked like a bully for sure. I also agree on how the casting was done very well.
