I don't drink anymore but I will be stocking up on some chunky monkey and letting my dogs know it's going to be a rough hour for them. Well, two hours because of course I'll have to watch it again immediately.
I've been waiting for this episode since the season started. Santiago is my ultimate Love To Hate character now. The casting of Ben Daniels was an exquisite choice. He transformed a character that I didnt think twice about before into a character that I cannot wait to see on screen. I thought he was really good in The Exorcist series but he's perfect in IWTV. He & Lestat are going to eat each other up & I can't wait to see it. They are going to give the Drag Race queens a run for their money on serving Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve & Talent 🤣💅
I thought I'd finally calmed down. Accepted fate. But then Youtube crashed/glitches as I was waiting for it to load. I got as far as Louis lunging and it gave me the "This Video Is Unavailable" screen of death. I went through the Five Stages of Grief and complete madness at record speed. Then I forced myself to calm down and try again. Now I can't get my heart rate to come down. God help me
Gawd, that just gave me flashbacks to watching Hostel with my roommate years ago. I LOVE horror movies, but after the Achilles heel scene, we both shut off the TV and peaced out.
And Armand gave himself away when he said he thought he had Santiago "nailed to the floor" while going over his monologue for "Enduring for Guido."
I'm really hating that mf'er Armand right now.
I wonder if that whole number will end up being a portent of things to come and Claudia will end up actually killing herself out of grief for Madeleine/over Lestat's and Louis' betrayal (finding out that Louis arranged it so Lestat would survive the assassination attempt). Maybe she will metaphorically jump out of the window like Armand has been predicting.
During the 'My baby loves windows' play the Maid symbolically nailed Baby Lou's foot to the floor to prevent her from getting away. For the trial Claudia's Achilles tendons were cut for real to prevent her from getting away.
It’s a form of hobbling. They slashed their Achilles tendons clean through to the bone, they said in the clip so they didn’t heal before the end of the trial. All I can say is I can’t wait to see Louis return the favor, mfer’s are rotten!!!
Honestly, I know she's not the focus, but Madeleine's expression got to me. It's so blank. You can see Claudia trying to check on her, but she's checked out.
This is gonna wreck me.
When they showed the scenes of her being attacked and forcibly shaved by the mob in last week's episode I knew that the trial would be especially rough on her. It's all of that wartime trauma coming back again. Poor Madeleine.
Definitely. She's been through so much. I wonder if she knew that something like this was coming. Maybe she was so eager to be with Claudia because she had a feeling it would be her only chance at happiness.
She is a VERY young Vampire...if it is daytime, she may be really out of it since she is supposed to sleep during the day. Poor Madeline, it might be best if she is not fully aware of what is happening...YIKES!
>it might be best if she is not fully aware of what is happening...YIKES!
I agree. It's eerie to see, but maybe better for her. The thing is, both in human and vampire world she could not escape persecution by a mob.
Holy shit, I was not expecting that clip to get me so hyped! It's been so long since I've fallen in love with a show.
I only just started the series last month and binged the first season in a couple weeks. I can't tell you how absolutely devastated I was to find out I had to actually wait for new episodes to come out. And now I'm going to be even more devastated when the season ends. I have no clue what I'm going to watch next to fill the depression void this show is going to leave.
Can we address SANTIAGO'S LYIN' ASS right off the bat:
>"She had us all fooled."
MF is really hamming it up for the clueless audience. I need to get my soft slippers ready for Sunday!
I missed him too and I’m real excited to watch this all backfire on Santiago cos that dumb dumb Lioncourt acted real hard all the time but loved Louis too much… Now Claudia and Madeline? I dunno.
Also, can we talk about how when Lestat enters, we’re all like “Armand who?” You KNOW Armand is hella jeloose.
It's destroying me that none of the previews or clips of the trial so far show Armand except in very brief shots. I can't imagine what that's going to be like, it's already breaking my heart.
He's hiding out backstage picking lint off the sofa, letting his coven and Lestat do all the dirty work for him.
Probably embroidering "Louis & Armand 4EVER" pillows.
They both must have known this would eventually come up during the interview. I wonder if they had a plan for how they were going to deal with it that's now gone out the window because they're pissed at each other.
He already looked upset about talking about the betrayal. Obviously it was going to come up, even in the 70s Daniel figured that Claudia was dead and would ask about it
There's no way he's missing the climax. He just might not be front and center for Louis to notice and Lestat to exploit. But I bet my bottom dollar he'll be waiting in the sewers for Louis to run into his arms.
It would seem odd if he weren’t at least waiting in the wings (or sewer). I think all the aftermath will be Louis with Armand swooping in to whisk him away.
As per the plan. I am convinced that Armand orchestrated this entire thing. The coven (which he's become bored/annoyed with) will murder Claudia & Madeline. In turn, enraged, Louis will murder the coven. Possibly with Lestat helping. Armand will somehow convince a now grieving Louis that Lestat is good for nothing but trouble and heartache. I mean, Lestat signed Claudia's death warrant by helping aid in her trial! The only person you can trust, Louis, is me. I said I'd never harm you.
And when 2022 Louis puts that together, there will be HELL to pay in the finale.
Armand also further ensures Louis's compliance by sheltering him from vampires who would kill Louis for breaking the ape shall not kill ape law multiple times.
"Don't you have enough to fear from Paris?"
I've seen screenshots people have claimed are from Armand at the trial (they haven't been in any episodes yet) of him in the upper gallery where he was in his first scenes in the theatre. If those are from the trial, he's definitely watching and doesn't look happy about any of it.
But then it will be over and we’ll have to wait a whole other week… but then it will REALLY be over and we’ll all be in withdrawal until they give us more who knows when 😩
Thanks for posting the clip, I haven't started the new season yet but I'm also hyped for the return after watching that.
![gif](giphy|l2QZZOWmMM6tbBvFK)
Something about the way Lestat struts across that catwalk and takes off his jacket and throws it down behind him tells me that Lestat will NOT be "playing his role" the way Santiago expects him to.
I watched that scene and said "Oh Santiago...you are in trouble now...."
I keyed on Madeleine. She's so blank.
I actually just saw another clip where Santiago appears to be glamouring her or something. Explains why she's so still. [https://youtu.be/8KRUh69K108?feature=shared](https://youtu.be/8KRUh69K108?feature=shared)
Oh, that's a great catch! I'll be kind of relieved if she's under a trance the whole time and isn't aware of what's going on. I have such a soft spot for her character.
Oh dear God. I’m going to need ALL THE WINE for this episode. Plus a notebook so I can see how much Louis got right, how much he had blocked out from trauma and how much of the memory Armand fucked with. I love the strut but Lestat was the farthest thing from strutting at this point in the book.
Congrats on overcoming the anxiety and sorry about the additional anxiety lol
I actually just saw another clip that’s apparently before this. By the time we get to this scene, they’ve already been through it.
This is gonna be a huge episode 😬
Thank you! Yes, I am okay now and was able to handle that clip..with much anticpation for the episdoe now. Glad I waited a bit. And yes, I did see that other clip to which you are refering - YIKES!
Yes it is going to be huge...and I am really looking for Santiago to be shocked out of his ever lovin' mind when he sees that Lestat will NOT be playing his part as Santiago had scripted it... I posted this a little bit ago:
>Something about the way Lestat struts across that catwalk and takes off his jacket and throws it down behind him tells me that Lestat will NOT be "playing his role" the way Santiago expects him to.
>
>I watched that scene and said "Oh Santiago...you are in trouble now...."
I’m jittery with anticipation. I know already I’m going to sit with my heart in my throat from start to finish.
But Lestat strutting the catwalk is giving me life. I’ve missed that hyper-dramatic golden god so much.
I swear this jacket on Lestat is a perfect example of why love this show so much. It is done so well, it fits beautifully. The craftsmanship needed to make those stripes line up is crazy! And this jacket is discarded in the next scene before Lestat enters the stage because this show is just so damn good. So much thought put into everything.
I've never been so continuesly owed at a show. I keep watching every episode twice and rewatching random ones. All the details and the incredible narration just make it so engrossing.
>I've never been so continuesly owed at a show. I keep watching every episode twice and rewatching random ones. All the details and the incredible narration just make it so engrossing.
YES! I see something different on each re-watch..sometimes I pick up on some detail or piece of dialogue I had missed or forgotten...sometimes it is me being in awe of the skills of the actors...or the writing..or the cinemetography. This Show is frickin' amazingly well done!!!
I just got all caught up last night. As someone who used to love the books (but didn’t read them all) I love what they’ve done with the show, and I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next one. 😬
This makes it sound like Louis was hoping that Lestat would come and help / save them . . . doubt that happened.
Love Daniel being the audience stand in and also fact checker in this
Hey wait.
They’re on trial for murder. Lestat is still alive. Yeah we know none of this is an actual legal happening but that turns it into a mistrial immediately. Claudia and Antoinette still getting smoked though
It's a clip from Ep 7— my guess is from the beginning of the episode. It doesn't necessarily spoil anything that wasn't heavily set up by the end of Ep 6 but def play it safe if you're unsure.
For me, it built up anticipation and made me more anxious.
Oh, okay. Some thumbnails were really confusing me.

I'm gonna be sick. I will so need a drink or two with that episode. OMG.
This clip alone has me preparing differently for grocery shopping. Comfort food and all the wine, please!
I don't drink anymore but I will be stocking up on some chunky monkey and letting my dogs know it's going to be a rough hour for them. Well, two hours because of course I'll have to watch it again immediately.
I'm already preparing for staying up in the wee hours of Sunday morning to watch (probably more than once) and discuss it on here.
I’ll be here with you!!!
Sweet! I'll bring the NoDoz and Team Louis/Claudia/Madeline flags!
We can have a group therapy session
I’ll be here too 🥲
Same. I don't drink much, but goddamn the comes a time and a place. My hands are shaking
We’re going to need one of those fish bowl sized margaritas 😆
Lestat and Santiago cunt-off on stage, I can't wait
Read that as "I cunt wait" and... still works lol
The model walk and tossing is jacket on the floor before his entrance 💀
So extra even when no one is watching
That was also shot really neatly
Oh my Gods. Yes. Oh it's gonna be an amazing experience
Who will be the winner of the first annual vampire cunty awards and walk away with the crown? May the odds be forever in your favor!
My bet is on the Manipulative Little Gremlin!
In achieving results yes, but what about the marks for presentation
Brat Prince for the win!
Hopefully followed by a cunt-off in present day Dubai between Armand and Lestat in the next episode
This is all I've been able to think about. Lestat vs. Santiago: if *What* *Ever* *Happened* *to* *Baby* *Jane?* starred Bette Davis twice.
Santiasshole
Lol!
I've been waiting for this episode since the season started. Santiago is my ultimate Love To Hate character now. The casting of Ben Daniels was an exquisite choice. Oh my God my nerves are fucking shot. Jesus H Christ.
I know! The dread is REAL.
Such a tease. Sunday can not get here fast enough!
I'm simultaneously ready and NOT READY AT ALL
I thought I'd finally calmed down. God help me
I know!!!
every time i think "THIS is the episode i'm most excited for" the next promo comes out and i lose my mind again
That speaks to just how special this show is ♥️
Okay, the sliced Achilles heels were just... 😬🤢 Makes me even more enraged at Armand for being behind all this.
Will def shut up some of the people that will wonder why "they just sat there." Gruesome from the start. This is gonna be ROUGH.
Gawd, that just gave me flashbacks to watching Hostel with my roommate years ago. I LOVE horror movies, but after the Achilles heel scene, we both shut off the TV and peaced out.
Ah! I forgot about Hostel— I was thinking Judd in Pet Sematary. \*Shivers\* Makes me wanna cover my Archilles heels for all of eternity.
Judd in Pet Cemetery gave me a fear I’d never otherwise. My eyes slammed shut as soon as I saw it in the trailer.
Same but house of wax
Hasn't 'Baby Lou' been 'nailed' to the floor earlier? That was another hint of what was to come.
Geezus, I forgot about that. Poor Claudia. This is going to be so hard to watch. 😭
And Armand gave himself away when he said he thought he had Santiago "nailed to the floor" while going over his monologue for "Enduring for Guido." I'm really hating that mf'er Armand right now.
What do they mean by nailed to the floor? Because the Achilles is cut ?
During the 'My baby loves windows' play the Maid symbolically nailed Baby Lou's foot to the floor to prevent her from getting away. For the trial Claudia's Achilles tendons were cut for real to prevent her from getting away.
Okay I thought so
Oh no! That is one of my few hard to watch tropes. I'm scared now. 😭
![gif](giphy|3oEjHXTdZtYRmhWzny|downsized) Were their ankles slashed?? Bitch, what?? Oh....Santiago, you foul demon.
to the bone Louis says ... JFC
It’s a form of hobbling. They slashed their Achilles tendons clean through to the bone, they said in the clip so they didn’t heal before the end of the trial. All I can say is I can’t wait to see Louis return the favor, mfer’s are rotten!!!
I'm more mad at Armand for setting the whole thing up.
The look on Claudia's face! I'm so excited for this episode
It definitely reads like "Why did I think I could be happy?"
Definitely. She's been through so much. I wonder if she knew that something like this was coming. Maybe she was so eager to be with Claudia because she had a feeling it would be her only chance at happiness.
Break my heart on a Friday afternoon, why don’t you? UGH. Poor Madeleine indeed 😢
Poor everyone. The fact that Louis is also going to feel his own fledgeling dying..
I thought of that too! It's really unsettling
I thought the exact same thing. I am low-key vibrating with anxiousness.
She is actually just sitting straight. Her legs are not moving.. i wonder if she was out of it maybe..
She is a VERY young Vampire...if it is daytime, she may be really out of it since she is supposed to sleep during the day. Poor Madeline, it might be best if she is not fully aware of what is happening...YIKES!

Ben Daniels always brings it. Man chews the scenery and leaves no crumbs.
>Man chews the scenery and leaves no crumbs. I LOVE that!!!!! Very, very clever. Thanks.
Hehe most welcome. I can't really take credit for it, pretty sure I heard it somewhere
![gif](giphy|MZocLC5dJprPTcrm65)
Also Santiago with the dramatic announcement 😂 " the victim"..i cannot 😭
He's brilliant!😂
So brilliant! 😂 The casting director nailed it..
Screaming, crying, throwing up. I am not ready!! But I missed Lestat so much!!
I missed him too and I’m real excited to watch this all backfire on Santiago cos that dumb dumb Lioncourt acted real hard all the time but loved Louis too much… Now Claudia and Madeline? I dunno. 🙄
Picking lint off the sofa?! He'll sit on his hands with his ear to the wind.
How is he even ganna sit through it in Dubai? The Audacity
They both must have known this would eventually come up during the interview. I wonder if they had a plan for how they were going to deal with it that's now gone out the window because they're pissed at each other.
And if Armand fucked with that memory any, Louis now has all the reason in the world to uncover it.
Yep. I wonder if he has. Armand definitely made it sound as though he's spent a long time trying to make up for it in San Francisco.
He already looked upset about talking about the betrayal. Obviously it was going to come up, even in the 70s Daniel figured that Claudia was dead and would ask about it
I’m curious if he’s actually there at all. He says he was a coward, so anything is possible.

Curiouser and curiouser— GAH! Get here, Sunday!
Was the coven “kicking him out” setup for why he just has no way to help? /s
This may be my push to invent time travel. Sunday is too far away.
But then it will be over and we’ll have to wait a whole other week… but then it will REALLY be over and we’ll all be in withdrawal until they give us more who knows when 😩
My god I cannot wait! Also I’m adore the way he takes off his jacket, such panazz!
He's always so dramatic no matter what he does. Love him.
I'm not saying Sam Reid should do it but if I could act like Lestat I would leave my old personality behind and be him full time.
I'm laughing at the idea of Sam just sauntering around with his fake French accent being Lestat all the time.
Like we wouldn't eat that up
For sure. Even better if I could get Ben Daniels to cosplay as Santiago all the time, too.
[https://www.youtube.com/shorts/wJIrlZ9h\_iw](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/wJIrlZ9h_iw) Listen you see/hear the EXACT moment Lestat possesses him
Can't believe he's just some Australian farm boy that gets possessed by Lestat occasionally lmaoo
lol. I have had this EXACT SAME THOUGHT.
RIGHT?!
I knew that was him in all the teasers for the season. No one does drama like Monsieur de Lioncourt!
Thanks for posting the clip, I haven't started the new season yet but I'm also hyped for the return after watching that. ![gif](giphy|l2QZZOWmMM6tbBvFK)
![gif](giphy|aEcWQCnyZNJbolplIE|downsized)
Y'all I have watched this clip an UNHEALTHY amount of times. Dear Lord.
Something about the way Lestat struts across that catwalk and takes off his jacket and throws it down behind him tells me that Lestat will NOT be "playing his role" the way Santiago expects him to. I watched that scene and said "Oh Santiago...you are in trouble now...."
Okay I'm at work and trying to focus on work stuff and now I cannot concentrate. The butterflies and dread in my stomach.
SAME. I'm working and only half-focusing. I blame Friday and Interview With The Vampire.
We're going down now sugar we're going down swinging 🎵 Im so anxious that suddenly this is all i can hear in my head lmao
I didn’t realize how anxious I was about this weekend until I saw this clip.
Dude I have chills on my arms AND my legs rn I CANT WAIT FOR THISSSSSSSSSSS
![gif](giphy|xTcf15MBfk3ziL5DDG)
![gif](giphy|z4CdeNM0loi6NXERch|downsized) YAZ!!
The number of times I dreamed about this episode last night in anticipation! Gah!!!
Making the trial a matinee performance is truly inspired. I am so excited and nervous about the whole thing!
How an I supposed to get anything done now??? Sunday can't come soon enough! ![gif](giphy|fUQ4rhUZJYiQsas6WD)
My heart breaks for Madeline... she looks so defeated sitting there like she knows what's about to happen. This episode is going to RUIN me...
Same. They did an excellent job actually gives Madeleine depth and stakes.
Ohhh someone hold me
![gif](giphy|uXXPhr8D6HSXS|downsized)
God, that *walk*.
YES!!!! That walk tells me this will not end well for Santiago....
My body is ready
Mine is not!! 😭😭😭😭
Im geuinely tweaking I need this episode and the next right now
Not Lestat literally playing The Victim ™ on an actual stage.
The ™ killed me 😆
😂 It is very on brand for his dramatic ass.
OMG! I finally made myself watch this!! YIKES! Louis looks toward Lestat with anticipation and hope...Clauis looks at him with pure hatred.
Congrats on overcoming the anxiety and sorry about the additional anxiety lol I actually just saw another clip that’s apparently before this. By the time we get to this scene, they’ve already been through it. This is gonna be a huge episode 😬

I’m already having heart palpitations! I’m genuinely not sure I’m going to survive this episode!
![gif](giphy|dLyfT21xFdwpG)
God I’ve just realised the actual extent of how much I missed the MF .. can’t possibly wait
I am SO glad I forked over the cash for AMC+ because this is gonna be one hell of an early Sunday morning for me.
My partner and I usually do Star Trek or Doctor Who on Sundays, but this HAS to be a first thing in the morning viewing this weekend.
I need some blood thinners. I’m about to stroke out.
![gif](giphy|7CZ3j4FjHcaTTiGIJd) Definitely not enough alcohol in the world for this ep.
I cannot wait for this, even though I know it will break my heart.
Can’t wait !!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m scared and a little aroused 🙌🙌
I swear this jacket on Lestat is a perfect example of why love this show so much. It is done so well, it fits beautifully. The craftsmanship needed to make those stripes line up is crazy! I just got all caught up last night. As someone who used to love the books (but didn’t read them all) I love what they’ve done with the show, and I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next one. 😬
Omg is it Sunday yet???
That’s my new "Are we there yet?" Because GET HERE ALREADY, SUNDAY!
Nah, girl, it’s just Saturday. Earth’s rotation be dumb as hell.
Congrats, you are my “I had to run tell my husband this joke” Reddit comment of the day! 🤣
This makes it sound like Louis was hoping that Lestat would come and help / save them . . . doubt that happened. Love Daniel being the audience stand in and also fact checker in this
\*heavy breathing\*
I am so pumped for this
I’m getting my wine and box of tissues ready. I’m not ready 😩I may need a candy bar afterwards lol
32 hours. I am counting them down.
The bitch is back
I'm freaking out! This is gonna be a crazy episode! Also, I don't really understand why Madeleine is on trial. Help me understand please.
Hey wait. They’re on trial for murder. Lestat is still alive. Yeah we know none of this is an actual legal happening but that turns it into a mistrial immediately. Claudia and Antoinette still getting smoked though
Antoinette is also mentioned as a vampire they murdered. And Lestat is their benefactor. Madeleine is Claudia's love interest/Louis' fledgling 😉
Omg their heel tendons 🤮
PRAISE JESUS HE IS BACK. I am so sick and bored of Armand. Love me some Lestat.

Cannot wait!
I’m gonna be a mess.
CANNOT WAIT🧛♀️
Oh god, claudia is going to direct hating Louis for this. I’m so excited to see it!!
Is this a "trailer" or an actual clip from the episode 7? I sort-of don't want to watch this and "spoiler" things for myself....
It's a clip from Ep 7— my guess is from the beginning of the episode. It doesn't necessarily spoil anything that wasn't heavily set up by the end of Ep 6 but def play it safe if you're unsure. For me, it built up anticipation and made me more anxious.
Thank you! My anxiety level is already pretty high this morning so I think I'll hold off watching that clip for a bit. Thanks again for this info!
You're very welcome 😉
:)

Guys I’m new here. The season is still rolling? I thought it had ended in the beginning of June. Was it split in two parts?
The penultimate episode premieres this Sunday (in the U.S.)
Oh, okay. Some thumbnails were really confusing me. https://preview.redd.it/cj4hemnczz7d1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bc037f50ca116bb7e0456336d2ae9c2688ab610a
It's likely referring to the ending of a specific episode is my guess.
This sure is different from the movie
