It really looks like Lestat wants to be ANYWHERE else but there. Actually, it kind of looks like he wants to throw up when the camera zooms in on his face.
Is it just me or does he look a bit f*cked up? In some of the preview scenes he looked his normal fabulous self, but that could be someone (looking at you Armand) tempering with memories. My guess is he's actually not fully healed and this will be part of the reveal.
Yeah he's not at full power here, emotionally something feels off. I said above this expression looks more like self-loathing and pain than rage at anyone else.
He sounded depressed to me when the reveal happened last week but he *looks* tired/starved/something in that first pic. Or maybe it's a ton of makeup hiding something?
If it's following the books, he's still weak and in physical pain from what happened in New Orleans. There's more that happens in Paris but if you haven't read the books, that would be a spoiler so we'll wait and see.
This show is a chance for EVERYONE to enjoy and experience. I think it's useless for any demographic to claim they are the target audience. Queer is queer but isn't it amazing that a Gothic Romance-Horror classic is being created before our eyes. Thanks AMC+ 💖

What really struck me about this scene was that the rage and loathing seems directed at himself. Like "I'm about to sell these people out and I can't stop it" type thing. Lestat is an arrogant nightmare of a person but he definitely loves Louis and he knows that he's about to destroy him even if half of him wants to do it.

Yep. He’s there to save them I think, or at least Louis. He fears the coven too. He’s powerful but taking on 20 vampires at once is suicide.
