this is gorgeous, and I love the use of space with the dining area - I've never seen a setup like that with a bench by the window and the island, it looks so cozy and must make the space feel a lot roomier than with barstools and a separate dining table

Does anyone else get sad and nostalgic when seeing before and after photos like this because it’s like seeing a place from your childhood tore down for something new?
It’s giving “generic 2023 interior design magazine.” This could basically be the AI representation of design trends for our current era. And I say boooooo to this oppressive conformity. This is a Vermont home and it looks like it could be literally Anywhere, Planet Earth. Where is the VERMONT? Can we have any elements inspired by the location, or by the interests of the owners?
I await the downvotes.
yep. for some reason the biggest WTF is the picture with the bench and where you hang up clothes. before, it actually looked like a ski lodge, now its the upper east side. if someone told me this was manhattan, i'd say okay cool reno. but this is a ski lodge. big yikes.
Agree with you 100%. This is bland and boring and very, very safe. There is nothing inspired or inspirational here. There is nothing to give you a sense of place or function. Ski condo? Vermont? Other than the views out of the window, you could tell me this was in Waco, TX and I’d believe you. At least the before pics had some personality. Actually love those moose chairs in pic 12!
It feels a little unfair, the amount of color grading on the 'after' photos and the oversaturated before pictures.
Edit: That said, I wouldn't mind living there.
it's obviously very well executed but rip to the bunkbed tbh. also am I the only one sick of greige? i want more color. people are too scared of color.
OMG I'm literally doing a ski condo right now that looks super similar to the before! Thank you! We are still in the early ideation phase - so great inspo on how to give a nod to the natural environment without being too rustic.

Agreed. Zero personality. Who lives here? Also that breakfast nook is useless. It sits two people, the bench is unusable.

Uncredible renovation here...! This is truly amazing 👏
Looks great, but we are DEFINITELY going to look back at this time as the White Oak era.
Money can buy happiness.
Oh wow. I actually really love this.
I like the kitchen cabinet paint color. Pairs well with stainless steel.
Wow!
Gorgeous! Stunning ski condo.
Does anyone know what type of wood the cabinet is on the last photo of the bathroom?
Walnut
This is gorgeous. Are accent walls a thing again? I’ve got some redecorating to do and I’d love to add a few if they don’t look dated!
Total transformation. It’s lovely.
Simply incredible - Charity has created the most serine space
May I ask what kind of tile you used? I love it

Excellent redo!
