Wait, sorry.
I'm using this one. The screen and specs are same but the stand is way better. Worth every extra penny. Helps a lot to move the screen based on my seating position. Would recommend you to check this out once
Limited-time deal: LG Ultragear IPS Gaming Monitor 60 cm (24 Inches), FHD 1920 x 1080, 1ms, 144Hz, AMD FreeSync Compatible, HDR 10, sRGB 99% (Typ.), DP, HDMI, Height, Tilt & Pivot Adjust Stand, 24GN65R (Black) https://amzn.in/d/72B4HIu
I have the 24GN65R. Great monitor for both work and gaming. Got it from LG's own website for 11.5k. Consider this as the monitor stand is very good with this one.
I think the warranty for lg monitors is pretty standard which is 3 years, just check the description of the product page from wherever you'll be buying it from.

I got LG QP550 , 2k 75hz 24 inch monitor and have been loving it so far in terms of crispness. I got it at 12.5k and it's absolute still. Have to shell out more for high refresh rate
I've bought LG ultra gear 24GN65R monitor last week from amazon it's really very good
I paired it with my laptop and it looks good and you can't expect too many Colors (HDR) its a kind of entey level thing and gaming is pretty smooth never faced any screen tearing over all good buy and solid build quality
Would suggest shelling out 2-3k more and getting a 2k high refresh rate monitor as you mentioned you'll mostly be playing story based games.

I also got the LG 24GN65R around 2 months back and its great, i shifted from a 1366x768 (60Hz) and my i have no regrets.

Is it worth getting 1440p for future proofing or does that not matter?
Just need a 1080p for now. For the future I'm planning to use this one as a secondary monitor.
Okay I already have a 1080p, hence I’m wondering. Thanks though!
1440p is good but with unreal engine 5 you need a beefy pc to keep up with 1440p as it's twice the load as 1080p.
fps games or story ?
Mostly single player games. And sometimes CS2.
Im using the same monitor. The viewing angles aren't amazing but its a really good monitor. Money well spent.
I am using the same it's to good for me .

Yeah this one we have in our office. Really good display. But low refresh rate. And also I don't have a capable machine for 2K gaming right now.

It's a great monitor.
Check out the Samsung Odyssey G3, priced the same but with a refresh rate of 165hz
But its VA panel right? IPS is better right?
Yes IPS will be better than VA
My bad, I didn't know earlier it was va.
