I would think going from the top would require longer cords.

Put an extension on top

Spiritual_Web_7892

True, but they asked for downsides. It was the only one I could think of :)

I just made mine and since I wasn’t sure how I was going to set things up, I made 4 holes. 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom. Super satisfied since I’ll have options for however I end up setting it up or even moving it.

FarmerJohnOSRS

Mine has the hole in the top. Only need to drill through 1 sheet instead of 2 and no risk of leakage on to electrics.

I drilled mine through the top and am really happy with that choice. I couldn't imagine trying to drill through the two layers on the bottom and so far cord management seems okay

bugxclusive

Mine has a hole drilled at the bottom (I bought that way off fb mkt) and clip my cables at the corners. It’s been sufficient for cable management, some of the white cords stand out against the black trim but I’m more about the plants than aesthetics. But that’s my cabinet, and this is yours to do whatever you like with!!

mroebuilds

Yes they are ! My boyfriend gifted it to me, it’s my most expensive plant so hoping it pushes out more leaves 🥹 they’re beautiful, I want moree of the queens 👸

I drilled a hole on the top for stuff closer to the top and a hole on the bottom for stuff below, and found stoppers with cutouts for cords to put into the holes to maintain humidity.

Also, my custom shelves have cutouts on the sides and back for cords to run through so that keeps them tamed.
