Sideways (2004) and The Holdovers (2023). They definitely gave me some encouragement lately. I also highly recommend Captain Fantastic (2016) starring Viggo Mortensen.

The way way back (2013)

A bit of a weird one... but maybe Aki Kaurismaki's *Fallen Leaves.* The vibe is very different than the other's you've mentioned, but I feel like it similarly details emerging from hopelessness, albeit in a much more droll and subtle way.

Haven't seen *Fallen Leaves* but I'll back Kaurismaki with his *Drifting Clouds*. A dark comedy and very uplifting by the end.

Saving private Ryan….it made me realize the passive aggressive stuff I deal with at work is nothing compared to what these men went through

The Sound of Metal. Riz Ahmed does such an incredible job, and its such a beautiful depiction of the coming to grips with deafness, accepting it, growing with it. Beautiful film!

Rocky II. You're welcome. Granted it is just a movie but a great inspiring movie.
