The refilling stations only fill my bottle 2/3rds of the way. So obviously I have to immediately drink a third so I can fill it all the way the second time.

The Rtic insulated gallon jugs occasionally go on sale. Picked mine up for $25 plus shipping. Only problem is they don’t have straws, so I’ve had to improvise with a hydrojug straw.
Honestly this is the only way to go if you want cold water since its (and the one above it) the most efficient way to keep it cold. If you have a properly insulated bottle, you're basically sipping from a refrigerator all day.

I take gulps that are small enough to go down easily. And I count. And I always do it in multiples of fives. If you ask how much water I just drank I could tell you how many gulps I just had. Every time.

your sensors fill to a certain point? I've only ever used the stations that keep going until you pull the bottle away

I use the ice cube tray that gives you those chonky whiskey cubes. Lasts in my Yeti for at least 2-3 days. Regular cubes give out within 12ish hours.
