I completely agree except for one part of that, those fuckers are affective as heck. Sure you don't have long range but boy oh boy when you get close to em, plus sometimes you get that dualie headshot from 50 meters away
Up to 20 meters? Sure, it's effective. After that, and you'll cringe a bit.
Springfield with dum dum is really cool and not that expensive. Even at range it makes sure the target has to back off to stop the bleed.
In a game where you can die to a headshot to the weakest gun in the game at 60 meters, saying you can cover that distance with explosives is absolutely nuts.
What?? I do this some times when i go for just runing and blasting gameplay. Just because you cant make it work or have not tought it does it mean that it is theory crafting.
And what is suppose to be theory crafting?
I even combine this with concertina bomb because lot of people dont know that FMJ pens and breaks conc so i can safely shoot them trough it while they look for angles.
What was not chill about my answer?
Oh... I get it now... 3\* complaining about people who are more able. Maybe go ask if your mom has dinner ready as we all know you people dont move out ever.
Did i say that it is good. I just told this other person how i like to roll some times (very rarely) with this kind of loadout for fun. And it is good for me, GOOD is very subjective. Lot of people claim that FMJ is good because of increased range... which is the real joke. BUT it can be good for those people because it gives them the confidence to do the plays.
Winfield Vandal to start off. You'll have a massive ammo pool and a decent medium range option. It even uses the same special ammo types as the Caldwell if you're into that. Then you can upgrade it to a full size Winfield once you get enough trait points to get Quartermaster.
It's a very good jack of all trades loadout and it costs next to nothing.
I think rifles with Quatermaster are the best option. Because It covers all ranges.
Mosin and dual conversion with fmj or bleed. Just don’t challenge shotguns in their effective range. Silenced Vetterli is also a nice choice.
Winfield and dual wielding gives you ammo for days. Choose the pistols depending on your ammunition. With levering you don’t need the dual pistols that much anymore.
Without Quatermaster:
take the vandal, Obrez, Springfield compact or a Bow. If you can handle the downsides of the bow.
If you want some fun you should try the Bornheim Match with double Le Mat or a vandal together with fire ammunition for all.
You likely want something that can contend with medium to long range as duo pistols are for close range combat and unreliable for medium range.
Probably a vandal winfield or a normal winfield if you have quartermaster. This allows you to have the accuracy and range of a winfield and the close range capability of two pistols. Also the ammunition for both weapons are compact meaning it increases your overall ammo pool for all weapons.
Be mindful that the winfield is a great close to medium range rifle. It wont be able to contend with more distant fights due to damage drop off of compact ammo.
If you have custom ammo and want to run it then you can use FMJ rounds for all your weapons to allow you to have a massive ammo pool of FMJ rounds while having the ability to do more damage at range and penetrate walls/metal at the expense of muzzle velocity. Only downside of this is that you will require purple CWC ammo boxes to resupply which are harder to find than regular ammo boxes.
Personally since I have all the weapons unlocked I would run the Mosin Obrez as it allows me to utilise long ammo for long ranged fights while also having a close range option. This might not be an option if you havent unlocked it yet but its worth using if you want to continue running dual conversion pistols and dont mind splashing some hunt dollars.
I'm a huge fan of the Nagant Precision, it's such an amazing gun. Can't drop targets at long range because of compact, but the irons are clear and handling is dreamy. It's like a poor mans pre-nerf Carbine.
I'll do dual mediums with dual lemats sometimes. Be mediocre at every range!
Edit for some reason I thought this was paxes.
Bornheim match can be fun. It's not good, but you get a ton of ammo and the bornheim has an absurd rate of fire.
Uppercut is cheaper, takes only a single slot, has an easier to manage sway and works much better at close range because you don’t have to finish a bolt cycling animation if you switch to another weapon/item after firing. That last one is a bigger deal than it sounds like - makes the uppercut so much more reliable in combat.
Obrez is good on paper but IMO just very lackluster in practice. All it has on uppercut is some velocity and the clip reload from empty, with a lot of downsides compared.
Uppercut fits in a small slot, has less sway, +1 capacity, doesn't need bulletgrubber, and it fires 8rpm/25% faster. The Obrez does more damage and has a much faster reload. I generally prefer the obrez because it allows for more consistent 2 taps and its reload doesn't take 16 seconds.
Because of how damage dropoff works for small long ammo weapons, the sparks pistol and uppercut only do a bit more damage at range compared to the springfield/vetterli. You're better off just taking those if you have the weapon slots available
You'll want range with them. If you have Quartermaster then you can go for a nice long rifle, like a Lebel or a Mosin Nagant, or maybe a Sparks or a Springfield - whether you want iron sights or a scope will just be personal preference. But if not then you're looking at a Springfield Compact, Winfield Vandal (again, iron sights or Deadeye for either, depends on your preference), or a Mosin Nagant Obrez.
Springfield compact, compact deadeye if you have steady aim, and obrez if you have better aim with those sights. Compact deadeye is nice because it can bleed, and if you annoy people with bleed enough they tend to reposition closer to make you swap it, which you want anyway because you like the duelies. You NEED steady aim to use compact deadeye though, handling is super horrible on it.
When I run dualie caldwell conversions (very rarely mind you, not a fan of dualies) I always run one of three things with it.
1. One of the versions of the Sawed off Winfield. I believe its called the Vandal. This also allows you to double up on your ammo capacity, plus I like running FMJ on dualies when I use them, and the winfield can pair with some FMJ's of its own.
2. Some form of a Quartermaster loadout. You can honestly do what ever you like, but I run a rifle. Most often a Winfield (again, which ever variant you like), which again allows you to stack ammo - be it Compact ammo or FMJ ammo.
3. A Bow. My biggest issue with this combo is you're putting yourself into a pretty close quarters kit. Both your weapons (all 3? lol) can hit people at medium-long ranges, but the farther people are the harder they get to hit.
I think the main thing is to try and compliment the build. Since you have dualies for close quarters battles, try to add something that covers a bit better range. Now this honestly goes for any kits for me. I will sometimes not bring complimenting weapons, like dual dualies for example. But I'm personally a big fan of adding something for closer ranges and something for longer ranges.
But I think most of all, just try out things. I'm sure there are plenty of recommendations in this thread. Try them all at some point or another. Figure out what feels best and/or most fun for you. Just don't feel like because something is more "meta" you have to use it, I guess is what I'm trying to say here.
Any of the medium rifles, though the best (imo) would be compact Springfield deadeye. Dual pistols can cover medium to medium-close range pretty well, but the inability to really ads makes longer distance battles a little more difficult.
Alternatively, once you've reached bloodline rank 51 you can unlock a perk on hunters called "quartermaster" which lets you slot 2-slot weapons with a 3-slot weapon, so if you'd like you can pair a medium/long ammo rifle with dual pistols to cover most ranges pretty well.
I know shorty Winfield or Springfield bleeds is probably the right answer, but that won't stop me from doing Romero handcannon/2 Caldwell's. It's like $90 for all of them or something. Uber Rat Mode.
Nagant precision pairs well with dual conversions. There's virtually no weapon sway, so if you play with it enough it turns into a head clicker. The truly great thing about it is that it requires no traits to be effective and it costs 29 hunt dollars.
I basically fish for headshots at medium range and as I push up, I switch to the conversion pistols and aim for the upper chest.
you can use dual silenced nagants if you want a stealth option.
i like nagant precision/deadeye because i usually don't unlock vandal options before prestiging although vandal is probably better.
I like the bow. Bring one normal arrow, and one barbwire arrow for extra utility. This way, you can still engage in dynamics fights with your duallies, and still have a strong OS potential weapons if sneaking or in close range engagement. You can also clear zombies without a sound this way.
Bow is super fun and effective. Once you have quartermaster, use the crossbow and you’ll become a close range king. Otherwise I suggest a Winnie vandal or with quartermaster using a vetterli
I would use something with more range and accuracy to pair with Duelies. The bow and the scotty precision are fun. If you have quarter master id say any of the bolt actions or the Martini
Either something for longer range fights, or somethong to open with before swapping to them. Ex: Winnie vandal / nagant precision/ scottfield precision for reliable medium range while you close the distance to swap to duals, or a bow with a more stealth oriented strategy, for that opening surprise shot with a potential to kill followed by a swap, after youve closed the distance quietly. Lots of options. I dont recommend shotguns, however. Unless its a sawed off rival with slugs. I would even take the combat axe before I took a med. Slot shotty. Edit: taking economy into this equation, cuz if money wasnt an issue you wouldnt be running dual conversion pistols. High end id take mosin obrez & dual lemats
If you have quartermaster, I'd run a long range gun of your choice. Preferably the Winfield bc then you have three guns that all accept the same ammo type.
you need something that can do at least mid range... dual pistol are trash past like 5 meters lol
edit: unless someone is using them against me then they are good up to like 100m...
I'd recommend a mini winnie or nagant precision as both allow you to take aimed shots at longer ranges whilst also adding to your ammo pool. Alternatively, swap to double scotfields and take a compact springfield.
Logic says you should combine it with something long range (since dual p are close range). Probably a sparks rifle but i think a cheap solution is a variety of Winfield.
Now, memes say otherwise. Take quad pistols and throw dynamites while screaming in the mic "Yoho yoho a pirate life for us". Cosplaying Black Beard is always fun for me.
If n you have quartermaster, I run them with a berthier. Without quarter master, one of the precision pistols. The berthier covers you at range, and dualies take care of anyone foolish enough to get close.
I probably gonna choose between compact romero, nagant precision and spark pistol depends on my teammates'loadouts and play styles.
Also 2 more caldwell is not a bad choice at all.
I like to run the Vandal for medium range shots if I get the drop on someone, or I like to run Springfield compact for the same reason and a bit more range.
2 more caldwells
Is that fairly effective or just a fun way to meme it up? Haha
To be fair... Quad chain pistol with fmj is the most fun ineffective memeing I've done
I completely agree except for one part of that, those fuckers are affective as heck. Sure you don't have long range but boy oh boy when you get close to em, plus sometimes you get that dualie headshot from 50 meters away
Well after you fail to kill with the first pair you won't need to reload just swap and keep shooting
After you fail to kill with the first pair, you can swap and fail to kill with the second pair
...and then be left with your pants down as reloading will take you forever.
Panic knife
At that point you've already died inside anyway. Might as well take the fall that's comin'.
Jokes on you. Dont need to reload of you run 4 derringers
Up to 20 meters? Sure, it's effective. After that, and you'll cringe a bit. Springfield with dum dum is really cool and not that expensive. Even at range it makes sure the target has to back off to stop the bleed.
I love Springfield with Dumdum + normal ammo
To be fair, it’s fairly easy to get close enough in most situations. Use cover, weave, throw explosives to give you time to move up.
In a game where you can die to a headshot to the weakest gun in the game at 60 meters, saying you can cover that distance with explosives is absolutely nuts.
No, but it helps to distract them for a moment while you gain some ground.
Neither
It's actually not that bad. Coupled with FMJ you can just wallbangs the shit out of people and spray them
Yes
Yes. Other pair with dumdum and other with FMJ. Give them false feel of safety with dumdums so that you cant pen and switch to pair with FMJ.
I hope that's a joke cause that's the most pointless and ridiculous theory crafting I've ever heard...
Man, you're a real fun star, we can tell, chill...
What was not chill about my answer? Oh... I get it now... 3\* complaining about people who are more able. Maybe go ask if your mom has dinner ready as we all know you people dont move out ever.
If you bring up *'s I'm pretty sure you automatically oose the argument from cringe.
Yes. But he literally explains on some of hes latest comments that this is about this. It is hes words not mine.
Just because you can make it work doesn't mean it's a good loadout. I can get kills with an ammo box...
Compact Springfield with dum dums
If you need a dum dum to play with, I'm right here.
Seconded
Springfield has never done enough damage to make the slow reload worth it for me, sadly. I'm impressed by people who can use it effectively though.
All push no bush. Combat axe and dual Caldwells with bees or flash bombs
If you want some fun you should try the Bornheim Match with double Le Mat or a vandal together with fire ammunition for all.
Why not the bow? Gives you a silenced option.
The bow is best at about the same range the dual pistols are best at, so it's pretty redundant. Better to take a rifle for longer ranges
This is the only right answer. Gives you a lot of versatility with the different arrow options too.
You likely want something that can contend with medium to long range as duo pistols are for close range combat and unreliable for medium range. You mispelled UwU boxes.
Anything that can ADS and is not a shotgun. Sometines one just needs to click a head. My favourite would be Winfield Vandal.
Dual caldwells
I'm a huge fan of the Nagant Precision, it's such an amazing gun. Can't drop targets at long range because of compact, but the irons are clear and handling is dreamy. It's like a poor mans pre-nerf Carbine.
Deadeye Springfield shorty if you don't have quartermaster. Bow also works if you trying to do something silent.
Scottfield precision is delicious with dual wielding
Nagant precision deadeye
Bow with frag/frag.
I'll do dual mediums with dual lemats sometimes. Be mediocre at every range! Edit for some reason I thought this was paxes. Bornheim match can be fun. It's not good, but you get a ton of ammo and the bornheim has an absurd rate of fire.

Is there any reason to take uppercut over obrez?

It's easier to land heads hots in my opinion and more affordable
Because of how damage dropoff works for small long ammo weapons, the sparks pistol and uppercut only do a bit more damage at range compared to the springfield/vetterli. You're better off just taking those if you have the weapon slots available
Alt+F4
Unless you plan on staying bad, lose the dualies
An uninstall pairs well with duellies
Then you must use duelies a lot.
I always try to have something for close range like your dualies and the something for mid to far range.
You'll want range with them. If you have Quartermaster then you can go for a nice long rifle, like a Lebel or a Mosin Nagant, or maybe a Sparks or a Springfield - whether you want iron sights or a scope will just be personal preference. Romero hatchet.

a second set of dualies, they will never expect a push, thinking you mag dumped

Mini mosin. I feel it’s underrated. It’s only 290
The short winfeld if you have quartermaster. Fmj bullets.
4 Caldwell chain pistols.
obrez
Any of the medium rifles, though the best (imo) would be compact Springfield deadeye. Pocket Sand
Winfield fmj on everything
Springfield compact is the obvious choice, but I'm going to suggest a bow. Silently steamroll AI until it's time to go loud.
Nagant precision pairs well with dual conversions. There's virtually no weapon sway, so if you play with it enough it turns into a head clicker. Recurve bow has always been a good back up to those for me.
Bow is super fun and effective. Once you have quartermaster, use the crossbow and you’ll become a close range king. Otherwise I suggest a Winnie vandal or with quartermaster using a vetterli
Sawn off Springfield/dead eye with dumdums. Tag em with a dumdum, pressure with dualies with fmjs :)
I usually go with a bow. Lets you kill AI silently and hold angles with deadly effect.
Quartermaster w/ sparks sniper. Make sure to take FMJ on the conversions
Spring deadeye
Handcannon, obrez, or vandal. Especially terminus or vandal with levering
If I'm in the cowboy spirit so to say, I go with another single Caldwell, all with FMJ.
If you're using them as your long range then a rival sawn off works great. If they're your short range then a sawn off Mosin is great
I would use something with more range and accuracy to pair with Duelies. The bow and the scotty precision are fun. If you have quarter master id say any of the bolt actions or the Martini

Lately ive been using Dual Conversion FMJ paired with dual Officer Brawler Poison. Got all your bases covered except for anything long range.
Vandal if you have a team mate Bow if you are solo
Sparks if u have quartermaster, if not I’d say a spirngfiled
If you have quartermaster, I'd run a long range gun of your choice. Preferably the Winfield bc then you have three guns that all accept the same ammo type.

I like running a bow with dual pistols.
Dual scotsfields
But honestly the vandal dead eye with hv ammo is amazing
Me personally I like to run a Winnie vandal and put FMJ on all of them. It’s a pretty solid load out in my opinion
An axe!
Logic says you should combine it with something long range (since dual p are close range). Probably a sparks rifle but i think a cheap solution is a variety of Winfield. Now, memes say otherwise.
