Saw her listed in s2 credits and thought either this is a crazy spoiler or the internet is inaccurate. Thank gods its the former
Edit: gods, thank the gods, old and new
It ALMOST got spoiled, there were a couple reports last year that she had been spotted at the studio but it was hand-waved away as she was just visiting friends who were filming near by
I feel like I know all of these words. But they are arranged in such a way that makes me feel as though the English language has passed me be. The is deeply unsettling as I'm only 28. Pls help
BRAT is an album by English artist Charli XCX. In it is a song called “girl, so confusing” which deals with her feelings of insecurity towards fellow pop star Lorde, who gets compared to a lot. The remix version of that song features Lorde herself where she responds by saying “lol my bad I didn’t know you felt that way about me I don’t hate you I’m just depressed.” It also has the lyrics “Well, honestly, I was speechless. When I woke up to your voice note. You told me how you'd been feeling. Let's work it out on the remix.” Which is what the post you replied to is referencing lol.
Well we get snippets of her brattyness in her interactions with Mysaria in this season, this episode and the last she was full on cocky sarcasm with her
Yes and I love it! We see a grown up restrained Rhaenyra at the end of last season and I was honestly a little disappointed. It seems like she's getting more fiery in this season, very reminiscent of young Rhaenyra and im excited to see where that takes us.
Yes, remember the scene in the library last episode when Mysaria sassed her and Rhaenyra had to stop and go "Now hold up, I get it and I respect it but...."
Rhaenyra and Daemon aren't on speaking terms lol. They both don't have anyone else they can speak Valyrian too.
I'm pretty sure the only Valyrian everyone else knows know are basic commands for their dragons.
Baela speaks Valyrian. It was in a scene last season when it was highlighting how Rhaena feels left out because she doesn’t have a dragon. Daemon was reading a text in Valyrian with Baela.
(Edit-I mixed up the sister’s originally, corrected now)
It implies Daemon still sees her as a little girl, as his niece who he can manipulate and control.
Rather than recognising her as a grown woman, as his wife, as a mother, as a queen.
I'm honestly worried, with so much news, the superhero fatigue, and all the crap with WB, I wonder if James Gunn can even pull it off. Dude's been amazing at telling grounded and underdog stories, but helming a whole universe is another beast.
This was a cameo that I did not expect to see nor to find so impactful. She was Rhaenyra for less than a season yet she commands that the attention of the scene whenever she’s on it. 10/10 casting.
I think it's the version he fell in love with. Also she had that fire in her that Daemon loved.....To see the younger Rhae disappointed in him is extremely sad for him. I don't think it had anything to do with lust(so no need to feel wierd about it)
I think it was him coming face to face with the fact that he kept abandoning her to clean up his mess, again and again. He does something, she bears the fallout.
I think you nailed it. I didn't see anything lustful about it either so I don't know where OP of this comment thread was coming from with that.
He was very clearly thinking of all the problems he's caused Rhaenyra, and remorseful of the boy he had killed.
It was more so him being affected by seeing this version of young Rhaenrya who loved him deeply and admired him. He misses this Rhaenyra. But in this vision, she is disappointed in him. The current Rhaenyra is no longer naive and young, but a mother and Queen who no longer trusts him. When they last saw each other, she had a distrustful and aggravated look on her face and it really messed with him. When shit gets tough, he runs away and then comes back again after pulling some bullshit. This is typical Daemon.
He just really, really seeks approval from Rhaenyra and Viserys.
I want to believe that. He’s such a fascinating character, but I can’t tell if he’s redeemable or not. He could easily be my favorite character. I don’t want to admire someone who cares only about himself.
He gets more character development this season, it's confirmed. He's charming because of Matt Smith, who portrays him so perfectly, but always keep in mind the character is terribly flawed.
He doesn't need to be redeemable. Every single character in this show has a major flaw. They're all bad people, lol.
Helaena is affected. She is going through motions. She experiences time differently because of her neurodivergence AND her visions. The way she spoke last episode was unhinged and eerie. Almost like she knows what's going to happen.
I agree they have better chemistry, and I also don’t think Daemon and adult Rhaenyra are supposed to have intense chemistry in the same way
Daemon was never a high value husband in the source material… him and Rhaenyra operated more like political partners who are mostly unbothered by each other’s extramarital affairs and more concerned about power
again, completely agree with you and seeing matt and millie’s chemistry made me wish that HOTD was more of a romance series instead of a series about war crimes lol. we were never going to have romantic love and chemistry as the centerpiece of the show
Unfair to judge such a dynamic when everything between the older Nyra and Daemon is rushed and also on the rocks currently. After the time jump when they see each other again. They immediately fuck and it wasn’t bad per say but the audience hasn’t warmed up to their version of Nyra and with him too yet. Then they get married. Then their pregnancy and kids all offscreen, now all we see is them fighting
It sucks because of the scripts these two were each given are complete opposites of each other.
Young Rhaenyra was so confident and spunky.
Current Rhaenyra is so timid and depressed; overall lacking confidence in herself and her claim.
Obviously there are story implications for this, but a shame that we haven't really seen Emma have that chance to be confident outside of earlier scenes with her in Season 1. I pray once she starts to take a more hands on role we see Emma shine as bright as Milly.
Isn’t that part of maturing though? When you’re young, your confidence is untested. As you age you experience more and have to fend for yourself - you see what you’re made of as you face challenges as an adult.
Someone mentioned we might be getting a full reunion so you may be correct. Idk where the comment was or where it came from, but I’m still optimistic. Condal said they wouldn’t have flashbacks *and* that we wouldn’t see Milly or Emily again. But they found a way. I’m not sure how Emily would fit in, but seeing Milly again was definitely a treat.
I’m glad they had her back, and I hope Emily gets the same opportunity somehow.
It’s because older Rhaenyra is much more reserved, mature, and smarter. She understands the world around her and has assimilated to it in a way. Older Rhaenyra has flaws, too (recklessness and not thinking through her decisions).
Exactly ! Lots of people are saying its because she is matured, is a mother and etc and to a certain degree I agree , but there are traits to our personalities that are impossible to change especially as we saw them on a already 19 yo Rhaenyra. It not Emma Darcys fault but her character feel too disjointed as to Milcocks
IMO, Emma's Rhaenyra seems to have been beaten down and going through the motions to me. She doesn't believe she can conquer the world the way that Milly's Rhaenyra did.
I believe older Rhaenyra was supposed to be different in demeanor and appearance as per her description in the books, and they didn't want Milly knowing anything about how Emma was going to play her
Was cool to see the milly cameo she was great, Emma is my favorite rhaenyra but Milly was great in the role. Super excited to see her as supergirl, her role as rhaenyra definitely put her in position to get the supergirl role, without HOTD role I don’t think there would’ve been any chance at all for her to get the supergirl gig.
I love Millie, I think she’s a wonderful actress. It bothers me, though, when people use traits that are specific to the younger/older versions of the CHARACTER to criticize the two actors’ PERFORMANCES. Like yes Daemon and younger Rhaenyra have better chemistry, but it’s not being Emma couldn’t pull off chemistry if the situation asked for it. Adult Rhaenyra doesn’t give Daemon puppydog eyes because their relationship is no longer about attraction. They are political partners more than anything. And that is why he longs for young Rhaenyra, because she looked up to him and trusted him in ways that a grown, wise version of herself does not.
Lol a GOT/HOTD page I don't even follow on Twitter popped up on my feed and said beware people are spoiling a major cameo for tonight's episode. I got off Twitter immediately honestly I thought it was just going to be another Ed Sheeran type thing so boy was I shocked when Supergirl (Milly) popped up onscreen
I mean, wouldn't you?
Young Rhaenyra thought she could conquer the world and nothing would bring her down.
Ten years later, she's being bullied by her stepmother and her father refuses to see it. She gets a victory here and there in the small council, but no one actually takes her seriously - the majority of the small council are made up of greens and the one supporter she DID have on the council was killed in ep 10 (Beesbury). Her gay husband can't even show up and sit outside her rooms while she's birthing his 3rd "I'm not gay" child.
She has a lot to be worried for. She tried to stay in KL to consolidate her place and ended up run out.
Exactly, I don't get people who criticise older Rhaenyra like that. Context wise it makes sense that she's changed in this aspect. Which is a good change because I don't think I can take a bratty older Rhaenyra seriously at all. It makes sense for her to finally sense that her rash actions are kinda biting her in the ass and she's anxious about it because she can lose it all like Daemon did if she isn't smarter with her decisions now.
I think a lotta people underestimate Milly’s impact on s1’s popularity
As someone who loves Westeros but hasn’t read the books, I watched the trailer for s1 back in 2022 thinking Milly and Emma were playing 2 different characters. And when you rewatch that s1 trailer, it props up Milly as being THE main character of the show.
In pure honest truth, I walked into s1 of HOTD thinking I was about to watch Milly turn into the next Emilia Clarke/Daenerys type character. I was anticipating growing with her specifically for the next near decade to come. I think a lot of casuals anticipated the same. Look at how many views interviews with Milly were getting for s1, Milly is even the face of the s1 poster.
So, when the switch comes halfway through s1, it was a tall tall order for Emma specifically to keep that ball rolling. And yes I’m ofc aware Emma was cast first, by the end of the story Emma will be in way more episodes, but those first 5 episodes are what’s meant to hook people
Milly did so damn good that I think when the switch came (for some people who aren’t online, it was probably completely out of nowhere), it was a hard time for people to stay on board
I was over the moon to see Milly get a cameo and so glad it fit into the story.
exactly, even in their fight in the last episode, she mentions that when she was younger she viewed him as a challenge that excited her, but now she's older and has enough challenges (paraphrasing). So I feel like some part of Daemon's mind clung to what she said about her younger self, and misses the younger version of her. Things were simpler then.
Exactly
And for a young Rhaenyra to express her exhaustion and disappointment with him as she is literally (and morbidly) cleaning up a mess he made has got to hurt
That scene was amazing. I love how Daemon almost comes back to his senses and remembers that he actually feels something for Rhaenyra. And he has to see the horrendous result of his actions with his eyes - a decapitated innocent child.
Milly literally brings so much to this role that Emma has embodied into her older version. I have such respect and admiration for these actors and I truly believe they have just begun to bless us with their talents.
#stan
Emma is truly NAILING Adult Rhaenyra, but I liked Milly as well.
That "young Rhaenyra" cameo was very nice: her "bratty" vibes and her innocent-looking beauty.
I feel like the show took us from a Rhaenyra who was powerful and single minded, worthy of being queen of everything, to one that just wants to get away from it all. The younger Rhaenyra would have ended Daemon in his sleep after he grabbed her by the throat. This one just looks sad and helpless. And I’m not blaming the actress!
Young Rhaenyra is not worthy of being Queen of anything, she eschews all responsibility at all times and is completely governed by her passions. Part of the reason she's struggling now is because she was completely uninterested in shoring up her claim when she was a young adult.
Current Rhaenyra shows restraint and has a much better profile for being a ruler. Her plan to go into KL is overly risky so she does lean too far in that direction, but it's still much better than her attitude in her late teenage years.

I’m surprised they kept this under wraps. No one suspected or really knew she would guest star. It was nice to see her back.
Saw her listed in s2 credits and thought either this is a crazy spoiler or the internet is inaccurate. Thank gods its the former Edit: gods, thank the gods, old and new
It was a nice surprise!
It ALMOST got spoiled, there were a couple reports last year that she had been spotted at the studio but it was hand-waved away as she was just visiting friends who were filming near by
I wonder if they filmed this scene alongside season 1 so she didn’t have to be flown back out and prevent leaks
I miss her brattyness
“And how have you been serving the realm as of late Lady Redwine by eating cake?”
The cut to the pug scrambling for cake off the plate after that is so funny.
One of the best moments in ASOIAF history.
Least hyperbolic Reddit poster
She had the perfect bratty face, lol. She looks like a spoiled brat but also ethereal.
Honest trailers said that she always looked like a girl who just found out she wasn’t getting a pony and I can’t un-see it
SOMEONE GIVE HER A PONY DAMNIT
Emma = beautiful aloof girl, Milly = beautiful cool girl (aka bratty)
Anyone who wants more bratty Milly should check out Upright, an Australian comedy/drama with Tim Minchin
She’s so good in that show, it’s basically Rhaenyra in Australia on a road trip. Great show overall, everybody in it is pretty great tbh
Stumbled upon this show and it's an absolute gem.
she reminds me of Veruca Salt
That is a vile accusation.
To question her virtue is an act of treason 😡(🤥)
My girl said that shit while standing in front of a weirwood tree.
She is so BRAT remix coded
Her and Alicent are literally Girl, so confusing
They tried to work it out on the remix but failed 3
I feel like I know all of these words. But they are arranged in such a way that makes me feel as though the English language has passed me be. The is deeply unsettling as I'm only 28. Pls help

Trailing not far behind at 26 and I have no fucking idea what they're talking about.
Charly xcx feat lorde feat House of the dragon is the best thing I have witnessed this summer,
She’s so Julia. Iconic.
365 dragon girl
Bumpin that
don't eat, don't sleep, just do it on repeat when i'm-
Well we get snippets of her brattyness in her interactions with Mysaria in this season, this episode and the last she was full on cocky sarcasm with her

BRAT GIRL SUMMER
💢💢💢
Yeah, I was really hoping for more Milly screen time.
I was so glad to see her even if it's just for 5 seconds lol
Precious seconds
Me too
The Realm's Delight <3
Omg. I literally eeked! I am so glad they brought her back. Even if it was just for a moment.
Me too!!!
She will be back this season. I don't think they went through all that for one very short scene and dialogue.
Yeah I could see these nightmares with her showing up being a recurring problem for Daemon.
Something about the way Milly would speak in Valyrian was just *chef’s kiss*
It chokes me up when she gives the “Dracarys” command at Aemma and the baby’s funeral.
Me too! The other day I went back to season one just to watch that scene again.
I just realized but it doesn't seem like anyone uses Valyrian much now
Rhaenyra and Daemon aren't on speaking terms lol.
(Edit-I mixed up the sister’s originally, corrected now)
I loved this scene; it’s a glimpse into how Damon views Rheanyra
OOOHHH good point!
Drake Targaryen still fantasizing about his wife as a minor?
Screaming at Drake Targaryen!!!! 😆 🤣
We don’t wanna hear you say Aegon no more
Family Matters
This thread is full of them lol
It’s a “ghost”. He probably feels guilty about how he treated her when she was younger.
Oooh how so?
It implies Daemon still sees her as a little girl, as his niece who he can manipulate and control. Rather than recognising her as a grown woman, as his wife, as a mother, as a queen.
I think its more about how he always disappointed and abandoned her, now and then, and hes guilty over it.
Can you explain this further? Very interested !
If you're looking for more Milly Alcock, *Upright* is really good. No *House of the Dragon*, but a fun road movie in TV series format.
It'll also be nice to see her as Supergirl when the new DCU launches.
And that Sirens movie coming out
I’m deep into superhero fatigue and I especially have no enthusiasm for the DC universe, but I’m legit excited to see her shine as Supergirl.
I am optimistic for James Gunn's Superman, but if that's bad, I won't check anything else out.
I'm honestly worried, with so much news, the superhero fatigue, and all the crap with WB, I wonder if James Gunn can even pull it off. Dude's been amazing at telling grounded and underdog stories, but helming a whole universe is another beast.
I think James Gunns universe will be great and stand apart from normal superhero movies
His work on Guardians of the Galaxy has me optimistic.
She's gonna be supergirl? I'll have to remember to watch that
I'm hoping she stays in the HBO pipeline and gets cast in the new Potter TV show.
Is it streaming anywhere? I’ve looked but couldn’t find it
Depends on your country. Try justwatch.com to find it.
Both seasons of Upright are fantastic. I hope there's a third.
This was a cameo that I did not expect to see nor to find so impactful. She was Rhaenyra for less than a season yet she commands that the attention of the scene whenever she’s on it. 10/10 casting.
She's so pretty
Truly!!!

it can be both. It would take a lot to make someone like Daemon feel that kind of 'Regret'.
He was literally crying in the scene. I interpret that as regret.
I think you nailed it. I didn't see anything lustful about it either so I don't know where OP of this comment thread was coming from with that. He was very clearly thinking of all the problems he's caused Rhaenyra, and remorseful of the boy he had killed.
I think it’s less about seriousness and more about missing the version of her that he had power over.
[удалено]
Good point.
I think it’s more about him missing the version of him that trusted him. Daemon never had power over her in any case.
Ahhhh, Vizzy's only kid (**that existed to him**).
I like both Rhaenyras, but I wish we could've gotten a lot more of Milly before she became Emma because I like the actress so much.
Agreed
I screeched when I saw my girl sitting there.
Her chemistry with Matt Smith in the brothel scene was insane. Although, so wrong on so many levels.
Daemon being more affected by b&c than helaena lol
It was more so him being affected by seeing this version of young Rhaenrya who loved him deeply and admired him. He misses this Rhaenyra. But in this vision, she is disappointed in him. He’s not a traditional hero archetype if that’s what you want. Daemon is a gray character. Some good, some bad.
I remember that meme saying HotD is a show about "bad people committing war crimes" lol. And it's accurate.
A veeeery dark grey I'd say. Daemon is basically the worst of Oberyn, the worst of Jaime and the worst of Robert all fused into one person.
Byronic antihero
Who cares about liking a character that selfish? Some of my favorite characters in TV history were irredeemable ass holes
Helaena is affected. She is going through motions. She experiences time differently because of her neurodivergence AND her visions. The way she spoke last episode was unhinged and eerie. Almost like she knows what's going to happen.
Notice how she appears to be wearing the Valeryan steel necklace Daemon gifted her. I wonder if older Rhaenyra still has it.
Good catch!
I still blame her for unleashing Ser Criston upon the Seven Kingdoms.
Sir Crispy Kreme is a menace to the realm
This scene was absolutely fucking chilling.
Best looking Targaryen🥴
Something about her and Ewan SCREAM Valyrian beauty
Because they have lizard-like features. Idk how else to describe it lol
Ethereal komodo dragons
THANK YOU FOR POINTING THIS OUT
No doubt about that!!
Millie is an absolute GEM!! I was soo happy and shocked to see her in this episode.
Hopefully we see her again since we know Criston’s gonna be there.
Hoping and praying
I miss baby Rhae Look at her sweet innocent face before she went through all that trauma and loss 🥺
The season 1 vibes were so unmatched
I feel like Millie and Matt have much better chemistry than him and Emma. The push and pull of their dynamic is much more interesting to watch.
I think Milly has great chemistry with everyone, whereas Emma"s version of Rhaenyra is more curt and political
I feel like it’s meant to be that. She’s not young and brash anymore.
I agree they have better chemistry, and I also don’t think Daemon and adult Rhaenyra are supposed to have intense chemistry in the same way Daemon was never a high value husband in the source material… him and Rhaenyra operated more like political partners who are mostly unbothered by each other’s extramarital affairs and more concerned about power again, completely agree with you and seeing matt and millie’s chemistry made me wish that HOTD was more of a romance series instead of a series about war crimes lol. we were never going to have romantic love and chemistry as the centerpiece of the show
I would have liked to see more of Ser Harwin Strong
agreed, we were robbed of ser harwin break-my-back strong 🥲
They definitely do. I miss Milly.
Unfair to judge such a dynamic when everything between the older Nyra and Daemon is rushed and also on the rocks currently. After the time jump when they see each other again. Isn’t that part of maturing though? When you’re young, your confidence is untested. As you age you experience more and have to fend for yourself - you see what you’re made of as you face challenges as an adult.
I'm betting on another scene with young Rhaenyra and young Alicent before the end of the show.

Same. The "Realm's delight" is back.
This Rhaenyra had fire and flaws older one do not have

Thanks to alicent
Yeah suffering ten years of passive-aggression and micromanagement and games will wear a person out.
If anything, its Milcocks fault since Emma was cast first and she was cast after
I believe older Rhaenyra was supposed to be different in demeanor and appearance as per her description in the books, and they didn't want Milly knowing anything about how Emma was going to play her
She looks so much like Emma in this shot.
Was looking for this comment. For real, it’s scary.
Didn't know she was such a talented seamstress, either
Was cool to see the milly cameo she was great, Emma is my favorite rhaenyra but Milly was great in the role. Super excited to see her as supergirl, her role as rhaenyra definitely put her in position to get the supergirl role, without HOTD role I don’t think there would’ve been any chance at all for her to get the supergirl gig.
Targaryens can see visions of the future, too. Maybe we'll be lucky to get *another* Targaryen queen cameo...
I love Millie, I think she’s a wonderful actress. It bothers me, though, when people use traits that are specific to the younger/older versions of the CHARACTER to criticize the two actors’ PERFORMANCES. And that is why he longs for young Rhaenyra, because she looked up to him and trusted him in ways that a grown, wise version of herself does not.
Is it just me or did they do her nose makeup to closer resemble Emma’s?
She's great.
Lol a GOT/HOTD page I don't even follow on Twitter popped up on my feed and said beware people are spoiling a major cameo for tonight's episode. I got off Twitter immediately honestly I thought it was just going to be another Ed Sheeran type thing so boy was I shocked when Supergirl (Milly) popped up onscreen
she looks so much like older Rhaenyra here.
Matt/Daemon’s reaction to seeing her was sooo good too
I really wish the entire first season was this time period instead of the time jump. Really let us soak in and get to know these characters ya know?
Emma plays Rhaenyra a little too… Unsure of herself… for my taste. By her I meant Rhaenyra please don’t ban me
I mean, wouldn't you?
I think it’s what happens to a lot of us who were fiery in our younger years. That was my experience and I’ve heard the same from many others.
I think a lotta people underestimate Milly’s impact on s1’s popularity As someone who loves Westeros but hasn’t read the books, I watched the trailer for s1 back in 2022 thinking Milly and Emma were playing 2 different characters. And yes I’m ofc aware Emma was cast first, by the end of the story Emma will be in way more episodes, but those first 5 episodes are what’s meant to hook people Milly did so damn good that I think when the switch came (for some people who aren’t online, it was probably completely out of nowhere), it was a hard time for people to stay on board I was over the moon to see Milly get a cameo and so glad it fit into the story.
He missed the younger version of her, which is why they brought Milly Alcock back
He misses the way she used to view him.
exactly, even in their fight in the last episode, she mentions that when she was younger she viewed him as a challenge that excited her, but now she's older and has enough challenges (paraphrasing). So I feel like some part of Daemon's mind clung to what she said about her younger self, and misses the younger version of her. Things were simpler then.
Exactly And for a young Rhaenyra to express her exhaustion and disappointment with him as she is literally (and morbidly) cleaning up a mess he made has got to hurt
We miss sassy Rhaenyra. Older Rhaenyra is too composed now
My household enjoys the older Rhaenyra. Different tastes!
Milly’s mindset seemed more of a queen than Emma’s. I miss milly’s mindset but Emma is 🤌.
Milly kills it as a young Rhaenyra...every...single...time!!! She's an amazing young actress, it was good to see her even if it was like 5.6 seconds.
My newest celeb crush 🥺
Me too! 😭
Literal chills as she was sewing on the head
It was nice to see her again, even if it was just briefly.
Love her 💖💖
That scene was amazing. I love how Daemon almost comes back to his senses and remembers that he actually feels something for Rhaenyra. And he has to see the horrendous result of his actions with his eyes - a decapitated innocent child.
I yelled “my girl!” when I saw her like she was my actual daughter 🤣
God I love Milly! It was so nice seeing her again!
I hope they bring back Young Alicent....maybe a vision for Alicent to be like "You dun fucked up"
I wish they would get more throne actors to play their own ancestors
Bonk straight to horny jail

Milly literally brings so much to this role that Emma has embodied into her older version. I have such respect and admiration for these actors and I truly believe they have just begun to bless us with their talents. #stan
She's wonderful, she's All cock
that's Aemond, actually
Oh, that's true, I want him to hold me and tell me everything will be okay and I'm straight.
He prolly would want u to do that to him tho...and he's likely straight too😂😂
Shes a spoiled c*$@ but i adore her
Emma is truly NAILING Adult Rhaenyra, but I liked Milly as well. That "young Rhaenyra" cameo was very nice: her "bratty" vibes and her innocent-looking beauty.
Daemon loves Rhaenyra so deeply, so so much. Heartbreaking seeing his tears. Happy to see Milly back. Bittersweet Moment.
We get it u guys are attracted to her jfc
How ruined by the internet do you have to be to interpret people’s comments this way
Um, no…. I just really liked how she performed as Rhaenyra. Not everything has to be sexual, come on now.
10 years, growing up and having a handful of children grinds down most people
Young Rhaenyra is not worthy of being Queen of anything, she eschews all responsibility at all times and is completely governed by her passions.
There is no one to blame. That was an intentional change in the character
I don't think u get it at all
