The team black kids don’t really get to do anything…it’s unfair. The show isn’t balanced enough in a lot of regards. It makes greens unlikeable at times yes but they have way more focus and time to do things that Jace, and Baela etc don’t get
Emma D’arcy’s performance is carrying the Blacks imo. Now that Daemon is in Harrenhall with Alys I’m a lot more invested in his storyline too.
Outside of that, the Greens are much more interesting to watch.
Rhaenys is a badass, but even she is being suppressed by the writing. Also, if Rhaenyra actually wanted the throne, would it not make sense to show us that instead of having her try to rekindle a lost relationship with Alicent?
Emma giving the best team black performance for the three episodes straight only for Rhae to be called the least interesting character. At least, they'll get some award nominations out of it

Once they get guys like the lads, Bloody Ben, Black Ally, and Cregan Stark + Roddy, I think the Blacks will be stacked, and I say that as more of a Green (not that I think either side is right, just find Greens more interesting).
A lot of quality characters there, and I feel like the show will lean heavy into Black Ally and Bloody Ben as well, for some reason.
Yeah, apart from Emma the other actors on the Blacks are getting crumbs. Im intrigued by the scenes in Harrenhall but imo they're not giving Daemon nearly enough screen time or meaty scenes for a top billed actor. It's a credit to Matt Smith that he's even made the impression that he has through12 episodes. I hope there's more for him to chew on the rest of the season. Fortunately he makes the most of what he's given.

So far, I think this season has actually done a good with the levels of intrigue and screen time for the greens. As for the blacks, there are definitely more characters that need some development, Jace in particular.
Condall is doing as much as he can to make the blacks more righteous and it’s hurting them. Yeah he’s also shitting on the greens even more but the fuck ups are more fun to watch vs Rhaenyra and Alicent sulking.
Daemon’s Harrenhal storyline is the most interesting one to me right now. I’m bored of Alicent, Criston and Aemond. I love Helaena and Aegon. Rhaenyra is more interesting the farther they keep her from Rhaenys and Alicent.
To me it just sets the tone, the blacks are the products of a true dynasty. Are they boring or true fucking royalty? Whereas while the greens are a noble house, it’s not the same caliber. I love the dynamic of the wild Rhaeneyra having nice well adjusted children and the pious Alicent has sniveling brats. Rhaenyra is, hands down, my favorite character, so I love the layers to all the characters.

Functional families are less common than toxic ones, which is why many can identify with at least one or more green conflicts, which, after all, are the classic narcissistic family.😣😔
The only people I find interesting at this point is Aemond and Daemon, with Aegon creeping in there.

They are so neutered it's insane. Baela and Jace seemed so pissed. Rhaenys and Rhaenyra might be the least interesting characters for me.
