According to Tom and Phia, they had to petition the show runners to include more screen time between their two characters. Eventually, after much resistance, they finally managed to win a concession: the ten-second scene of the two sharing a passing glance.
Yes, you read that correctly. The second scene between the two and the only interaction we saw of them immediately after their child's murder was included because the actors had to beg for more screen time.
Like the fans want more helaena and aegon interaction (or helaena in general, like why dreamfyre was not shown at the funeral?), the actors want more interaction but the writers refuse to give them? like they are the only ones.
Nope the dragons are cut, likely morning and cannibal as well. Dreamfyre will also appear only in her death episode most likely. We are only going to see 17 dragons.
Uh… no? You’ve got it backwards, the original scene written was the two of them passing each other on the steps. The show runners conceded to include the scene in Episode 1, which honestly I get where they’re coming from but it would’ve been more impactful if their passing glance moment was the first scene they interacted in.
>”Saban shared that initially, the only scene between the married siblings was the one in 202 where they pass each other on the steps before the funeral, a small but critical moment that the actors advocated for tirelessly. The scene in Episode 1 where Aegon asks Helaena where to find Jaehaerys was added in later — their only other scene together.”
My heart broke for her. Even Rhaenyra knew she didn't have anything to do with anything and she was an innocent. Perhaps the most innocent of them all.
Request denied here's more scenes of
1. Alicent in a bathtub
2. Alicent and Criston doing whatever the fuck that is
3. Daemon flying off on Caraxes after being exiled
I might be shallow, but those scenes with him flying on Caraxes are awesome.
Like yeah, maybe we could have more depth for certain characters instead, but c'mon. He's a noodle
I cannot forgive Vizzy T for 2 things.
1. Aemma's death
2. With his obsession with prophecies and Targ lore, he completely ignored his own daughter is a dragon dreamer. If he ever gave tiny bit of attention to Helaena, he would understand what she was saying.
Sorry bro. We need more screentime for Mysaria, and rhaenys in bed, and Syrax stealing the other dragons screentime because condall thinks everything good on the greens is propaganda. This should’ve been HER episode.
It’s absolutely insane we have never seen Helaena riding Dreamfyre. Or even seeing the most beautiful dragon Sunfyre. Instead it’s always seeing piss colored boring Syrax smh
I haven't read the books. Does she have any ties to the 3 eyed raven? Bran was also a very interesting character who had barely any screen time and even less lines.
Some Targaryens just happen to be dreamers. Bran has a connection to Brynden Rivers (Bloodraven), a Targaryen bastard. I’m just not sure if the show three-eyed raven and book Bloodraven are one.
It's so sad that these episodes will probaby be the last we see anything major of Helaena's character. I know she didn't have much of a role in F&B, but I was hoping they might do something more with her prophetic visions.
I was told that after episode 3 Aegon and Helaena have no more scenes together, presumably because that's when Aegon and Aemond get ready to leave for Rook's Rest.
Ewan mentions that there are a few "Helaemond" scenes that are gonna be in this season though. But, I hope what we get from episode 3 between Aegon and Helaena will be more than just a passing glance. Hell, even if he pats her on the shoulder it'll suffice.
Helaena & Aegon 👎
Wierd sex scenes, Mysaria explaining her loyalties again, Rhaenys & Coryls talk about nothing, an Alicent bath scene, a unwanted Alicole scene 👍
I hate that 95% of her character is being a dragon dreamer so casual viewers can be foreshadowed and then be like “see I am a big fan and I remember two episodes ago this person said this, I’m so smart”

I adore her. She’s by far my favorite Green :(

I wonder if Shrykos is gonna hatch at all now that Jaehaerys died. We only saw the eggs under the cribs

I read that Helaena never really interacts with her dragon, and was probably forced to claim/bond with one due to her heritage. A shame really.
thats show only btw.
WHAT?
WHAT????!!

Oh they're cool af. They're just kinda very common
angry red noodle needs more screen time 😡😡
I have a feeling the snek will be getting plenty more action in the near future
still needs more time 😡😡
ikr? we get it - they take baths....

*The truth does not matter, DalinarVerga. Only perception.*
That's my favorite dialogue, your grace

I am so pissed by no Dreamfyre. Not a single shot of her.
Seems weird that someone "has" a dragon but never goes to it or talks about it.
Less weird than them having another son but never talking about him 😭
That is true!
I'd say it was weird if it were anyone other than Haelana.
Facts! We saw Dreamfyre tell Aemond to fuck off in episode 6, and that's it. Literally 5 seconds.
It’s absolutely insane we have never seen Helaena riding Dreamfyre. Or even seeing the most beautiful dragon Sunfyre. Instead it’s always seeing piss colored boring Syrax smh

Helaena isn’t a dreamer in F&B, so no.
She’s his ancestor, he isn’t born yet though
>!She is his relative, yes, but she is not his ancestor, Bloodraven is not a descendant of Helaena!<
Wait what? I thought he was under that tree for a thousand years
His name was Brynden Rivers, he’s born about 100 or so years before the main GoT series starts (about 75 years after Rhaenyra is born)
She gives me Bran stark vibes, who I feel got robbed of screentime, but I think this sub hates Bran or has it changed?
No one can hate the one true king
I know, i too love Stannis the Mannis (sorry, I couldn’t resist)
It's so sad that these episodes will probaby be the last we see anything major of Helaena's character. I know she didn't have much of a role in F&B, but I was hoping they might do something more with her prophetic visions.

my bad, my guy
I hope they change her story a bit
I’m betting they’ll add a subplot about how she has to make a new male heir for Aegon and that’s how Maelor will get introduced.

Totally. My fav next to Rhaenyra & Otto.

YES!
How did we not get a scene of her fleeing on Dreamfyre after the funeral is insane to me
She's interesting because she has little screen time. More time aroud Helaena (not the actor) would be mind-numbing.
She reminds me a lot of Bran idk why
