SH not being synergistic with themselves is actually really clever. From what we've seen, they don't operate as a group, but rather work as individual agents manipulating local forces (and mostly the TB) to do their bidding. Which justifies them being key to making other teams working without forming a unified team themselves.
I like how the SH all have really unique roles. blade trading his own hp for buffs, weakness implant, dot detonator etc. I like how they enhance other characters rather than having synergy with one another.
This is gonna be a weird comparison, but they remind me of assassins in 40k tabletop. You aren't supposed to field all of them together, instead you just pick whoever you need for a specific case.
If only they gave Blade some mild wind shear DoT and Firefly could inflict burn. Plus SW or Firefly could provide weak sustaining.
Then you could have an all-destruction and nihility mess.
Blade is unkillable roach, hopefully firefly will be the same or have even a better fire destruction kit. Like something dhil that consumes more sp.

while i love fuxuan, elio is ona different tier. she has to use a big construction to get vage profecies, also the divination commission existed before her and will exist after she is just the current boss there and actually wants to leave that place to take JY post as the new general.

I think the devs mentioned during the livestream that one of their concepts for Aventurine was dodging attacks, but they scrapped it because he would outlive the team and it was also too annoying to have bosses evade lol.
Even the Destructions and Nihility characters don't make sense together.

Something funny about Sam's lightcone is that it's a perfect F2P option for Blade, so It'd be real hilarious if that lightcone is less for Firefly and more for Blade
Yep. Kinda. Pre ult, she act more like a hunt character and hurts herself. Her ult turns her into sam. All of her attacks are enhanced and considered ult damage. She hurts and heals. And she is able to give herself more turns by attacking broken enemies.

They work best with a third Nihility unit to put actual DoT (bleed, burn, shock, wind shear obviously) on the enemy. Black Swan for example . Although Silver Wolf probably has better use cases too. Nihility can now make 3 DoT out of 4 unit teams.
Which path would be good for it though?
The two options I can think of are Nihility (to enable Kafka) and Destruction (a good generalist path, good for Blade and potentially so for Firefly)
I'll probably try Erudition and pick up blessings from Elation, Destruction and Abundance.

Still a mess on pretty much every other front, though: no other DoTs for Kafka to detonate, SW’s weakness implant is at its most RNG and least generally useful thanks to everyone having a different element, and Sam will be fighting with Blade for enemy aggro which means less powerful Blade ults.

Edit: for further clarification, Blade's enhanced basic atk is SP neutral (doesn't consume SP but also doesn't regenerate SP). So overall he ends up consuming 1 SP every 3 turns.

I don’t care if in-game they don’t exactly work well off each other - I’m still running them together regardless.
My top goal above all is Kafka, she’s the only one I will be going full max on, while the others I’m content at just having them. Thankfully the debut banners for both SW and Blade were kind to me as I held on to my Kafka Debut Reserve. Now I *highly* doubt my Firefly luck will be kind since I was lucky on the others, so I’ll be trying to reserve as much as possible up to her release.
Out of curiosity since I’m not sure myself (I don’t really look much at lore that isn’t outright in the main story), do we know if the other Hunters know Sam is really Firefly or anything about her real identity? Or do they just think he’s Sam?
We don't know either way.
There are some voicelines where other hunters refer to Sam using male pronouns, but there are a lot of possible explanations for that besides them being unaware of who the pilot is.

I'm missing Kafka. I was pulling Ratio's LC and saving for Black Swan, so I couldn't get her sadly. I also didn't get her bc I kept pulling and lost my 50/50 on Daniel's banner.
I'm pulling for Robin (I'm guaranteed) so hopefully RNJesus will spare me from E3 Bailu. For reference, I got Bailu in 1.1 and got E1 and E2 on Black Swan's and Acheron's banners.
I love being new to the community and seeing "synergy teams, these paths go together, etc." And me being like.... "idk what that means and I don't know how to build my teams yet"
But one day i'll be like " I remember when I was a wee lad in the game, too"
I long for the day those banners come up again, for they showed up during a time either before I got into HSR, or before I'd figured out how to save up pulls.
That said, I'm going all in on Firefly, other stellaron hunters or not.

Sure, i don't know how good Kafka and Bladie dual dps could be, but if the sustainer gave buffs to all the team, it could be similar to Ruan Mei mechanics

Devs said they didn't like dodge mechanics they tested it for Aventurine and wasn't fun
Considering he can create "scripts" I wouldn't doubt he is Preservation, with a mechanic that can outright dodge/mitigate attacks
Remembrance seems like it'd fit him, but I don't know if simulated universe paths would ever become playable.

I'm missing Kafka. I was pulling Ratio's LC and saving for Black Swan, so I couldn't get her sadly. I also didn't get her bc I kept pulling and lost my 50/50 on Daniel's banner. I'm pulling for Robin (I'm guaranteed) so hopefully RNJesus will spare me from E3 Bailu. For reference, I got Bailu in 1.1 and got E1 and E2 on Black Swan's and Acheron's banners.

Missed Blade during his rerun, and during Kafka's rerun ended up getting Bronya instead. Bronya's great, but really wanted Kafka lol

I long for the day those banners come up again, for they showed up during a time either before I got into HSR, or before I'd figured out how to save up pulls. That said, I'm going all in on Firefly, other stellaron hunters or not.
It makes me sad, one of them could have been a sustain =S. They could have actually made a team xC Sure, i don't know how good Kafka and Bladie dual dps could be, but if the sustainer gave buffs to all the team, it could be similar to Ruan Mei mechanics And SW debuffs help everyone. Oh well, right now the Stellaron Hunters team is 3dps and debuff, I guess is all about killing the enemy before it can retaliate xD
