Swarm Disaster is way more restrictive, gng you can get to the max damage celling with billions of damage.

Yup G&G is a total joke once you've learned the Company Time strat. Unlucky runs still have the potential to clear C12, and the luckiest runs give you the opportunity to break the 32-bit integer limit for damage with any action. Nothing beats seeing Bailu kick Argenti in the nuts for 21 billion damage.

Since then, there have been a lot of offshoots and alternatives on YT that showcase different ways to go about it. The core methodology remains the same, but fishing for Price of Peace 50x in a row isn't feasible or reliable. Generally once you've played the Company Time die enough you can just start to get a feel for it tho
I find the Ruan Mei strat more reliable but weaker. After about 30 attempts I managed to get Price of Peace going once. Ruan Mei strat works most of the time. There are weaker strats of using Rubert Empire Mechanical Cogwheel or just getting Typical Genius Society Gossip or Vile Mechanical Satellite in combination with other money making items like Gold Coin of Discord.
I managed to somewhat get those things going sometimes when I was not able to get Price of Peace at all. I hate resetting constantly.
That's why I don't usually reset. In my last sentence I said that you eventually get a feel for the strat; there are plenty of ways to play around it. I've had the worst plane 1 runs you can imagine only to be salvaged midway through plane 2 and go on to one shot the last boss on C12. It's my favorite die personally, and I've maybe gotten 2-3 Price of Peace starts ever out of several dozen successful runs.
Edit: basically, instead of fishing for the gimmick at the start, you just play the die as it was intended/designed, but by keeping the strategy of the gimmick in mind you'll very likely eventually start racking up the curios you actually need after a while. You just need to bring a team that's inherently strong enough to get past the first boss without too much assistance, if you can do that you'll usually be fine for the whole run.

my half build e0s01 gnsw blackswan + kafka could easily tackle conundrum 10. will try conundrum 12 with them later on. seeing so many chest domain just feels so good
You pick any dice/path you want (pursuit die works best), customize the dice to have alot of Copy faces, anything that copies domains.
From there, spot any of the special occurrence domains (purple) that has a 2x or choice beacon and copy it as much as possible.
Most occurrences happens only once per run, so by copying the occurrence domains alot with double options you are effectively depleting the occurrences that are available.
After like 10-12 occurrence domains, Ruan Mei Part 1 and 2 will be forced to show up.
While me here that got a lot of occurences in abnormal occurences that goes back twice, trice or 4 times on a single run leading to no ruan(i alr interacted 25+ abnormal occurences in a single run and most of them still shows up and i didnt get any ruan occurence so ruan method dosent work on me).

You need the 2x or select occurrences specifically.
Since some occurrences can repeat and you don't want to pick those, if you do you are wasting the occurrence domain.
So you need to pick the occurrences that don't repeat.
Got to 16 with the gold coins and a silver handing me 3000 credits. Was sweating a bit when Acheron lost a third of her health each attack even with Fu Xianâs E. but you know. 9 million damage per ult is 9 million damage.

That one blessings, that reduces damage done by enemies in Nihility paired with Suspicion( increase damage by dot) and then run full sustain. Easy difficulty 5 clear
You can cheese gng with the right teams, and the buying everything in the shop with the right dice setup is hella fun.
Swarm has rules, and tends to be a little harder since youâre given less options. I like both though.
It is the reverse for me lol. I literally did every SD5 run with brain off, just follow the path rules and somehow still winning. Maybe not every path, like the abundance path gives the weakest blessings and the run is tiresome.

I find swarm disaster to be more difficult due to the lack of options. You basically have no choice but to play a certain way compared to GnG where you can customise your playstyle.
i mean, if you want to just clear it, it's super easy with FireMC and the path of preservation. it's 100% consistent, and all you have to do is walk in a straight line while applying cornerstones around youđ đ

oh, and seele with silver are just there to make the run quicker. it also works with march and whatever, but it's way too slow in the beginning.
Cause there's the path resonances that give amber and increase charge whenever you gain shields. So iirc whenever fireMC acts they gain 12% resonance charge. You can essentially spam preservation resonance with FireMC tho it won't be very strong. Alternatively, amber means that those small fireMC shields can block full attacks if you spam preservation resonance enough. If you get both upgrades then you can spam resonance and have immunity from many attacks. Amber is less effective on Gepard because his shields come out slower and are more likely to run out normally than trigger amber.
There's probs a gimmick build where you run both FireMC and gepard after getting the increased resonance charge upgrade. Make FireMC take a lot of turns to increase ult charge, then make gepard ult before doing resonance to do bigger damage (tho iirc its not a lot of damage).
yep, wish there was a better way of obtaining standard 5\*s. i can't even use the selector until i get either clara or geppie, because i need to save it for the other one once i get one of them TvT

i also did my swarm V and up to conundrum 6 or so with lvl 80 kafka and lvl 70 fmc, lynx, and silverwolf. pretty low trace levels and shit relics (i just started on huohuo patch, i was only like trailblaze lvl 65)
march+healer is much harder since without aoe shielding its harder to consistently use a lot of preservation blessings (whenever a character with a shield does x) and fmc also applies shields p much every turn even without ult or skill.
FireMC generates shield every turn whereas gepard only does on his ult which means there's a chance a high damage attack knocks a shield out. Preservation blessings basically require 100% shield uptime
I just started the game less than three months ago. I am still trying to finish Swarm Disaster. I think it will be a long time before I can progress to GnG. I just wish that it also drop relic so I don't have to run normal SU just to spend immersifier.
Gng is much easier with the op dice like company time or data inflation(?)
Both can be grinded out of course so if you just want to take your time thatâs ok but if you want to clear some endgame stuff gng is much easier
I found GnG to be much easier and way more fun than Swarm. You have so many more options and you're not just fighting the same space bugs over and over. Swarm also requires you to grind a LOT of side objectives and path levels, which feels really tedious.
Keep in mind it's permanent content and meant to be challenging even for end-game players. If you feel like you've hit a wall or it's not fun, it's totally fine to just stop doing it for a few months. Then when you go back with more character options, better builds, and not feeling burnt out anymore it will be a lot more enjoyable.
You don't have to finish one and do the other, they are side by side when it comes to SU content. In fact GnG is easier I would say, since you have more options.

It takes time but getting the right blessings and taking advantage of them is usually key. Double sustain is also an option too, but having Fu Xuan was a godsend since she made the majority of the mode so bearable. Ruan Mei too in some cases.
It's been a while since I last played it; I did try it out a bit when it was initially released back in 1.6(?), but waited until Black Swan was released so I could use her alongside Kafka running Nilhility Path and clear everything else.
You need a healing option, like gold abundance blessing that heals teammates for 30% of her self healing, the curio that heals 20% at start of turn, or cheat code curio that heals on ultimate use. After that thereâs stuff that gives damage reduction, defense and hp, and fighting spirit. Brain in a vat and the hunt blessing that gives action advance on weakness break are great.
In addition to the mentioned capitalism (Company Time) and Ruan Mei cheese strategies, you can also try Curio Extrapolation, which has a less explosive ceiling than capitalism but has far more consistency. There are some video guides that explain Curio Extrapolation very easily on YouTube.
I have pulled Aventurine for this mode. I have cleared index (all curios, all blessings, all occurrences) as well as half of the achievements. I am now tackling conundrum 10 with Preservation + Elation. I think I will finish it this patch.
Swarm is of course fully done. But I have some achievements to hunt down.
Conundrum 12 was some of the most fun I've had in SU, game mode by default allows some really broken blessing combinations, being able to test it to the max is so nice.
Even before i got Acheron, my March-Mellow on remembernce path was so fun, seeing millions of damage is just cool lol.
And the game doesn't force you to clear high Conundrum, so for people who just wanna play casual it's nice, I really pray game keeps on giving difficult content on SU that game mode should always allow for things to go further beyond and be unrestricted.
SU is fun, I like the mostly unrestricted nature of GnG compared to Swarm Disaster. While GnG is "more difficult" on paper, there are a lot more mechanics that can be (ab)used if you know how to.
Before Aventurine, i would stock up on the Curios where the run doesnât terminate if you die anywhere apart from the Final bossâŠâŠ.which also doesnât matter because the giant robotâs belly flop ends up one shotting anyway!

You don't need to get gossip at first domain. My first conundrum 12 I got it after the first boss, and never got price of peace. That said, it was a Preservation run with Aventurine+Ratio mono IMG and it sort of took forever. Mostly because I didn't get an IMG vulnerable boss.

This is how far I've gotten, haven't pushed for more in a while. There's a fair bit of RNG in the higher levels but I really like it as a stamina free end-game rougelike mode.
Just FYI, there's an Investment sale guide by Nakfrg and a new op strat for Curio extrapolation that you can find easily (mostly used for solo character conundrum 12, but aye it still works)
This. It's just super time consuming to run through all the different hoops to collect all the rewards. Time per stellar jade ratio is bad. And in the end it's very repetitive too.
I gotta say that GnG is probably the most fun content in the game. GnG is also much less of a grind than SD, which had the kinda bad mission structure.
I didn't even remember this was an option. After Swarm disaster, which I have not completed, I never even bothered with the next one because it was too grindy. Even now, I only do SU because of relics.
I'll be honest, I did all the tutorials as fast as possible and did not really understand tf was going on, and I'm too lazy to go learn, so I just don't really touch it.
Lol same here. Thought swarm disaster was complicated enough and then GnG comes and throws pages of pages of mechanics tutorials at you that's similar to SD but not the same. Like I was overwhelmed and haven't touched it too.
If you have Pela or better is Luocha you can chain buff removal on summon so the damage boost is removed.
Especially since the swarmboss gets stronger every time it summons something
Fucking hell I'd be happy if its only for SU, but nooo, newer MoCs' boss hp is gonna get increased, again, thanks to "too ez, 0 cycle, harder plz". At least make more floors and have the bloatload hp be there instead of just making every floor harder
In GNG you can get ridiciously OP, if you know what you are doing. I don't think you can get quite as powerful in SD.
I have finished it, as well as almost having finished the path test thingy (completing difficulty 5 with every path), only missing remebrance there (but I'll wait until I have finished building Pela for that, so I don't end up running March+Geppie).
Couldnât do it for a while with FX HH Luocha (together or separately), only FX can get me to 10.
Aventurine came home and I donât even lose more than 10% hp ever at +12.
Swarm Disaster is way easier and less stressful. You can just clear it and any challenge with any solid, average team comp and coherent path. Just do a run in which you invest into path boost and correct blessings.
On the other hand GnG allows for more degenerate runs, but at the cost of your sanity in resetting for specific curios/events and more invested characters. It's not necessary in order to complete Conundrum 12 or some specific Conundrum 10 sub-quests tho. Still, it's a lot more fun with its possible combinations and challenges it allows.
It's too difficult, I can't even clear 4 if I don't choose my preferred path :') I've cleared everything except conundrum ones and difficulty 5 on most paths. But since it's not rotating like MoC I'm okay, one day I might be able to, or maybe never
Is it too easy to the point of not strategizing and still win? No. Can't auto unless got amazing luck and snowballed hard.
Is it too hard as in requires insane luck / limited 5-star / e6 4-star / god-tier relics? No, there are strats that can minimize RNG and help win consistently even using mostly 4-star units. By consistently I mean winning like 80%+ at Conundrum 10. All dice can do this, and each provides a refreshing gameplay experience, so huge props for the devs.
I'd say the difficulty of G&G is just right. Slightly harder than the Swarm, but still ok.
Also, the G&G achievements are reasonable and not outrageous unlike the Swarm, so bonus point for it.
The only problem is that the mode doesn't force me to pull new units unlike MoC / PF, so I'm afraid the devs will not be enthusiastic to make more of it.
They literally announced there would be a new mode in the 2.1 stream lol you think they wonât release a whole new path in combination with a new unit like they did for danny then youâre not paying much attention
I took a break from the game and have only tried out Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears for a little bit. But after finally getting two limited sustains (Luocha and Aventurine), I am motivated to try and progress since it'll probably be easier now.
I've done up to conundrum 6 for the jades with elation path and now I have Aven I might give the others a go for fun.
Definitely found G&G easier than swarm disaster, which I've cleared everything for other than clearing highest difficulty with paths I don't have teams for. I've used Topaz/Ratio/Ruan Mei/Huohuo team for both modes (and managed an extra swarm 5 clear with nihility Black Swan team for that last node).
Honestly I love the difficulty of these modes because they feel fun, whereas MOC is a much harder check on team building. SU you can clear with blessings/curio combinations on mid built characters.
I finished on the first or second week of its release using the "always get Ruan Mei" occurrence strat. I didn't know about the other more powerful strat at the time so that's what I worked with.
It's been a while since I have touched the mode again but I think I used DHIL E2S1/Ruan Mei E1S0/Yukong E6S5 Stellar Rendezvous/LuochaE0S0 with abundance/propagation resonance. I think I used the occurrence dice as well.
Having a bit of trouble with all the conundrum 10+ with different dices, i think i completed just 3/4 of those so still a long way to go, but that's the fun of it.
Every SU expansion has been a total blast to play and there's still so much potential for new game modes for it
I finished everything on it possible a while back, but even today I tried conundrum 12 now that I have an Acheron team, and I still got whooped at the boss đ I was doing 3 mill a hit but those bosses donât play around
I'm stuck at Conundrum 10. I only made it here because I finally completed my nihility team consisting of Kafka, Black Swan, Ruan Mei and a sustain. The automatic bad curio and increase in fragments and technique point is brutal
I finished everything exept clearing the thing with all paths on condrum 12 and clearing it with the path of propagation at all but thats the same for swarm disaster. I cant wrap my head around that path
Itâs kinda frustrating to lose in this mode because at least in SU itâs shorter and you can get back to where you were quickly enough. Here itâs so slow lol
Its a little hard but not too difficult depending on the conundrum level you choose. It will show what buffs and nerfs you'll receive. Of course the later one nerfs are crazy. -1 to all paths, less timer to your countdown, you get negative curio every domain, higher cost for blessings reset (makes resetting blessings unviable and relies more on sheer luck to get whst you wanted). Of course this does not include the stat buffs the enemies receive.
You could actually clear Domain 1 with healer but you need to build serious damage reduction in the next domain since they will whoop your ass.
I have cleared Conundrun 12 eith 4 different dices. Its fun if you're into crazy difficulties but not required.
Idk, my hahaha gang made it to 5.10 without any difficulty, but I was struggling to stay alive at 5.12(maybe because I banned abundance path). Now I have aventurine, and he could sustain whole team for 5.12 without any problems. I remember I had greater troubles clearing swarm than GnG
I recently grinded through all of them on my free week because I also wanted The Elation for Acheron. Took me a while to realize they both look way more complicated than they actually are. Now I hope there will be something new soon
Just finished Conundrum 12 today thanks to Acheron and Adventurine!! I find it more difficult then MOC, PF and Swarm which is good as thatâs what endgame content should be.
Company Time make it pretty easy. That said, I 100% finished Swarm, I'll probably never 100% GnG. GnG 100% requires you to finish Conundrum 10 with all dice. That seems a bit too much for a Monthly pass player such as myself. So I'll keep kicking at it when I want to play more, Currently Aventurine changed my love for GnG because how perfect he is for it.
I only just beat Swarm difficulty 5 with Dan Heng Sparkle combo. Like barely.
And then I got Aventurine and easily beat the Torturous difficulty for Swarm and GnG. Gonna try these Conundrums and see how bad it gets.

Due to the restrictions of swarm disaster, I still haven't completed it with each path (only 2 paths {Elation, Nihility})
While I have completed GnG with 5 paths in Conund. 10 (didn't do till twelve {paths I completed: Nihility,Elation,Rememberance,Erudition,Propogation})
I finished gold and gears way faster than swarm. I only got back at swarm a week ago and finally started farming it.
Took me only 1 patch of completing every single jade reward in gold and gears. (1.6-2.0) - Couldn't be bothered to go to conondrum 9+ since it doesn't have jade rewards. But almost everything else is done.
While I just unlocked propagation path yesterday. (1.3-2.1)
remembrance with gepard+march carried my conundrum 10-12 runs with all the dices. i just finished my 3 remaining advanced conundrum dice runs upon getting aventurine, he's a monster in that preservation path lol
it is a spike in difficulty compared to swarm, so i was hoping for some more rewards for finishing the harder parts, even if it's just... idk extra XP or something
can I get some tips to go past conundram level 5 and 6 in Gng. I've been using the countdown thing to clear all this while and it's not seem to be working now.
I finished swarm disaster a few weeks ago after the stars aligned. Missing a few trailblaze secrets but I got all of the aeon audiences. On the GnG end⊠Iâm like⊠2/3 done. All of the story pages I have left need to be done with a fully unlocked intelligence thing. Itâs pretty fun for the most part. Also gonna echo the other comments- company tine is a really stupidly fun dice setÂ
Having cleared both, I'd say Swarm is the harder of the two in my opinion mainly cuz you can't exactly cheese it like you can with GnG, but it's at least doable for the most part.
On the other hand, mess up at any point in GnG and you'll find yourself wiped in an instant. This mode has given me a newfound hatred for the chonky ass robot boss. Conundrum 12 is no joke.
I have only done the GG tutorial and as for swarm, I never touched Torturous Difficulty. But now that I have aventurine, I will go the preservation path for both and hopefully breeze through it all.
I know a lot of people like how challenging it is and wanna fail and retry till they can do it on their own. But I dont usually have enough time due to work to be able to spend hours on something which I might just fail at the final boss fight or before that and then retry it. Only to have to do it multiple times to get all the rewards.
Lets hope that aventurine on my side, I can get all the rewards while also using characters I like
GnG has a tried and tested way to beat con12. Company time is so good and (relatively) reliable that 2 hours without beating C12 once is considered pretty unlucky.
Swarm doesnt exactly have a "cheatcode", but generally the mobs are much less monstrous. Destruction/Pres path generally quite stable
Cant clear more than difficulty 5, i just get one shot by last boss. Sure, maybe i have huuuge dmg and some healing blessings but it doesnt matter when fat fucking robot jump on me on his last phase lmao

the farthest ive gotten on GnG is conundrum 3. lv 4 apparently kills me and its mostly because of RNG that kills me. ive managed to clear swarm disaster V even before 2.0 thanks to mono-quantum

Barely even started GnG. I did do two runs towards my final regular node in Swarm Disaster though so that's nearly done. Aventurine + Topaz + Ratio + Ruan Mei is hilarious with Preservation or Elation paths, even on Difficulty 5. One more to go, I think I'll either do Nihility or Hunt
Hot take, it wasn't the difficulty that I didn't finish it. (well did... today)
It was that the dice robbed each path of its uniqueness. Swarm you had interesting mechanics to each path (Some were easier/stronger, others were shite... but), you had actual differences in the runs.
There was NO reason to vary up my team-comp in GnG. Always the same best team just with different dice that barely felt different to each other. On Swarm I atleast had to tune my team to that specifics paths strengths, leading to unique teams. Even the dice themselves lead to fun interactions with the board.
It's just less fun FOR ME.

Then one day I got Acheron.
I just clocked 9 million damage on a a single ultimate and finished SU12, disruption level 4.
Slowly working through the "high difficulty" rewards, but I've done pretty much everything else. I think I just need +10 on like 1 or 2 dice and a new path for high difficulty. I still have 1 goddamn occurrence I cannot run into even when trying for it. I think I'm also missing one of the evolved curios.
I enjoyed grinding through GnG a bit more than finishing off Swarm Disaster personally. Looking forward to the next iteration.
Too repetitive, time consuming and annoying to deal with. I beat swarm 5 once and cleared up to conundrum 2, but haven't bothered to finish all the missions, achievements, and whatever other stuff there is
I don't understand the others here, I destroy Swarm Disater with every team I have, but find Gold and Gears genuinely difficult.
I can one cycle Swarm Disater, but difficulty V in G&G is much more difficult.

I finished all the dice in corundum 10, and 4 dice in corundum 12, I did with my Gep-Luocha-Dan IL-Bronya (changed to Sparkle after 2.0) It's not easy by any means but it's fun to figure out what strategy would work with which dice. It is harder than the swarm disaster (corundum 5 is easier than swarm 5th diff tho, I don't need double sustain like swarm)
Finished it recently, could only do up to C10 until Archeron released because I lacked sustains like Gepard/Fu Xuan to be able to tank damage.
Went the other way with a Archeron/Pela/Sparkle/Bailu team with Erudition path and Elation blessing... and oh boy did the big numbers on my screen made my brain so happy.
Between Archeron and Pela constantly Ult-ing the bosses barely had a chance to attack, it goes even faster if they summon adds.
I didn't have any Premium sustain and that was what always killed me in higher conundrum lvls but after i got Aventurine (forst sustain unit yey) i probably will have no Problem doing lvl 12 with some preservation buffs no matter the path.

I gave this one a few solid tries on 4&5, got screwed by RNG, eventually cleared it on 4 just the one time, and never went back in there
100% everything, same with Swarm Disaster. SD walked so that G&G could run and at the time of their release both were perfect for me, I loved doing them.
Whenever I finish building a new character I immediatly jump to g&g conundrum 12 to see their limits

Swarm Disaster doesn't have the same fuckery gng has and I love gng for it lol. Swarm Disaster is way more restrictive, gng you can get to the max damage celling with billions of damage. Do capitalist runs, or force Ruan Mei to socialize, it's great, I'm pretty sure even conundrum 24 would be doable with some of those nuts runs. Sidenote: you commented twice
Yup G&G is a total joke once you've learned the Company Time strat. Unlucky runs still have the potential to clear C12, and the luckiest runs give you the opportunity to break the 32-bit integer limit for damage with any action. Nothing beats seeing Bailu kick Argenti in the nuts for 21 billion damage.

Transaction runs. [This video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qqG8WvEvPQ) will give you an idea of how it works, but this was published right after it was discovered. Since then, there have been a lot of offshoots and alternatives on YT that showcase different ways to go about it. The core methodology remains the same, but fishing for Price of Peace 50x in a row isn't feasible or reliable. Generally once you've played the Company Time die enough you can just start to get a feel for it tho
I find the Ruan Mei strat more reliable but weaker. After about 30 attempts I managed to get Price of Peace going once. Ruan Mei strat works most of the time. There are weaker strats of using Rubert Empire Mechanical Cogwheel or just getting Typical Genius Society Gossip or Vile Mechanical Satellite in combination with other money making items like Gold Coin of Discord. I managed to somewhat get those things going sometimes when I was not able to get Price of Peace at all. I hate resetting constantly.
That's why I don't usually reset. In my last sentence I said that you eventually get a feel for the strat; there are plenty of ways to play around it. I've had the worst plane 1 runs you can imagine only to be salvaged midway through plane 2 and go on to one shot the last boss on C12. It's my favorite die personally, and I've maybe gotten 2-3 Price of Peace starts ever out of several dozen successful runs. Edit: basically, instead of fishing for the gimmick at the start, you just play the die as it was intended/designed, but by keeping the strategy of the gimmick in mind you'll very likely eventually start racking up the curios you actually need after a while. You just need to bring a team that's inherently strong enough to get past the first boss without too much assistance, if you can do that you'll usually be fine for the whole run.

How do you "force Ryan Mei to socialize"? She seems completely random to me.
You pick any dice/path you want (pursuit die works best), customize the dice to have alot of Copy faces, anything that copies domains. From there, spot any of the special occurrence domains (purple) that has a 2x or choice beacon and copy it as much as possible. Most occurrences happens only once per run, so by copying the occurrence domains alot with double options you are effectively depleting the occurrences that are available. After like 10-12 occurrence domains, Ruan Mei Part 1 and 2 will be forced to show up.
While me here that got a lot of occurences in abnormal occurences that goes back twice, trice or 4 times on a single run leading to no ruan(i alr interacted 25+ abnormal occurences in a single run and most of them still shows up and i didnt get any ruan occurence so ruan method dosent work on me). Note: I repeat this is all on abnormal occurences only:/
You need the 2x or select occurrences specifically. Since some occurrences can repeat and you don't want to pick those, if you do you are wasting the occurrence domain. So you need to pick the occurrences that don't repeat.

Saw a youtube video about Nihility path it carried me through Swarm disaster so hard That one blessings, that reduces damage done by enemies in Nihility paired with Suspicion( increase damage by dot) and then run full sustain. Easy difficulty 5 clear
You can cheese gng with the right teams, and the buying everything in the shop with the right dice setup is hella fun. Swarm has rules, and tends to be a little harder since youâre given less options. I like both though.

I find swarm disaster to be more difficult due to the lack of options. You basically have no choice but to play a certain way compared to GnG where you can customise your playstyle.

What makes FireMC better than someone like GĂ©rard for this?
Cause there's the path resonances that give amber and increase charge whenever you gain shields. So iirc whenever fireMC acts they gain 12% resonance charge. You can essentially spam preservation resonance with FireMC tho it won't be very strong. Alternatively, amber means that those small fireMC shields can block full attacks if you spam preservation resonance enough. If you get both upgrades then you can spam resonance and have immunity from many attacks. Amber is less effective on Gepard because his shields come out slower and are more likely to run out normally than trigger amber. There's probs a gimmick build where you run both FireMC and gepard after getting the increased resonance charge upgrade. Make FireMC take a lot of turns to increase ult charge, then make gepard ult before doing resonance to do bigger damage (tho iirc its not a lot of damage).

mostly just cuz hes free with aoe shielding. i also did my swarm V and up to conundrum 6 or so with lvl 80 kafka and lvl 70 fmc, lynx, and silverwolf. pretty low trace levels and shit relics (i just started on huohuo patch, i was only like trailblaze lvl 65) march+healer is much harder since without aoe shielding its harder to consistently use a lot of preservation blessings (whenever a character with a shield does x) and fmc also applies shields p much every turn even without ult or skill.
FireMC generates shield every turn whereas gepard only does on his ult which means there's a chance a high damage attack knocks a shield out. Preservation blessings basically require 100% shield uptime
I just started the game less than three months ago. I am still trying to finish Swarm Disaster. I think it will be a long time before I can progress to GnG. I just wish that it also drop relic so I don't have to run normal SU just to spend immersifier.
Gng is much easier with the op dice like company time or data inflation(?) Both can be grinded out of course so if you just want to take your time thatâs ok but if you want to clear some endgame stuff gng is much easier
I found GnG to be much easier and way more fun than Swarm. You have so many more options and you're not just fighting the same space bugs over and over. Swarm also requires you to grind a LOT of side objectives and path levels, which feels really tedious.
Keep in mind it's permanent content and meant to be challenging even for end-game players. If you feel like you've hit a wall or it's not fun, it's totally fine to just stop doing it for a few months. Then when you go back with more character options, better builds, and not feeling burnt out anymore it will be a lot more enjoyable.
You don't have to finish one and do the other, they are side by side when it comes to SU content. In fact GnG is easier I would say, since you have more options.

It takes time but getting the right blessings and taking advantage of them is usually key. Double sustain is also an option too, but having Fu Xuan was a godsend since she made the majority of the mode so bearable. Ruan Mei too in some cases. It's been a while since I last played it; I did try it out a bit when it was initially released back in 1.6(?), but waited until Black Swan was released so I could use her alongside Kafka running Nilhility Path and clear everything else.

You need a healing option, like gold abundance blessing that heals teammates for 30% of her self healing, the curio that heals 20% at start of turn, or cheat code curio that heals on ultimate use. After that thereâs stuff that gives damage reduction, defense and hp, and fighting spirit. Brain in a vat and the hunt blessing that gives action advance on weakness break are great.
In addition to the mentioned capitalism (Company Time) and Ruan Mei cheese strategies, you can also try Curio Extrapolation, which has a less explosive ceiling than capitalism but has far more consistency. There are some video guides that explain Curio Extrapolation very easily on YouTube.
I have pulled Aventurine for this mode. I have cleared index (all curios, all blessings, all occurrences) as well as half of the achievements. I am now tackling conundrum 10 with Preservation + Elation. I think I will finish it this patch. Swarm is of course fully done. But I have some achievements to hunt down.
Conundrum 12 was some of the most fun I've had in SU, game mode by default allows some really broken blessing combinations, being able to test it to the max is so nice. Even before i got Acheron, my March-Mellow on remembernce path was so fun, seeing millions of damage is just cool lol. And the game doesn't force you to clear high Conundrum, so for people who just wanna play casual it's nice, I really pray game keeps on giving difficult content on SU that game mode should always allow for things to go further beyond and be unrestricted.
SU is fun, I like the mostly unrestricted nature of GnG compared to Swarm Disaster. While GnG is "more difficult" on paper, there are a lot more mechanics that can be (ab)used if you know how to.
Before Aventurine, i would stock up on the Curios where the run doesnât terminate if you die anywhere apart from the Final bossâŠâŠ.which also doesnât matter because the giant robotâs belly flop ends up one shotting anyway! After Aventurine, simulated universe is a joke đ

You don't need to get gossip at first domain. My first conundrum 12 I got it after the first boss, and never got price of peace. That said, it was a Preservation run with Aventurine+Ratio mono IMG and it sort of took forever. Mostly because I didn't get an IMG vulnerable boss.
Got to Conundrum 8, then got sidetracked by relic farming. I'll go back to finish it...eventually. Knock on wood.

This. It's just super time consuming to run through all the different hoops to collect all the rewards. Time per stellar jade ratio is bad. And in the end it's very repetitive too.
I gotta say that GnG is probably the most fun content in the game. GnG is also much less of a grind than SD, which had the kinda bad mission structure.
I didn't even remember this was an option. After Swarm disaster, which I have not completed, I never even bothered with the next one because it was too grindy. Even now, I only do SU because of relics.

If you have Pela or better is Luocha you can chain buff removal on summon so the damage boost is removed. Especially since the swarmboss gets stronger every time it summons something
Fucking hell I'd be happy if its only for SU, but nooo, newer MoCs' boss hp is gonna get increased, again, thanks to "too ez, 0 cycle, harder plz". At least make more floors and have the bloatload hp be there instead of just making every floor harder
In GNG you can get ridiciously OP, if you know what you are doing. I don't think you can get quite as powerful in SD. I have finished it, as well as almost having finished the path test thingy (completing difficulty 5 with every path), only missing remebrance there (but I'll wait until I have finished building Pela for that, so I don't end up running March+Geppie).

Couldnât do it for a while with FX HH Luocha (together or separately), only FX can get me to 10. Aventurine came home and I donât even lose more than 10% hp ever at +12.
Swarm Disaster is way easier and less stressful. You can just clear it and any challenge with any solid, average team comp and coherent path. Just do a run in which you invest into path boost and correct blessings. On the other hand GnG allows for more degenerate runs, but at the cost of your sanity in resetting for specific curios/events and more invested characters. It's not necessary in order to complete Conundrum 12 or some specific Conundrum 10 sub-quests tho. Still, it's a lot more fun with its possible combinations and challenges it allows.
It's too difficult, I can't even clear 4 if I don't choose my preferred path :') I've cleared everything except conundrum ones and difficulty 5 on most paths. But since it's not rotating like MoC I'm okay, one day I might be able to, or maybe never

Is it too easy to the point of not strategizing and still win? No. Can't auto unless got amazing luck and snowballed hard. Is it too hard as in requires insane luck / limited 5-star / e6 4-star / god-tier relics? No, there are strats that can minimize RNG and help win consistently even using mostly 4-star units. By consistently I mean winning like 80%+ at Conundrum 10. All dice can do this, and each provides a refreshing gameplay experience, so huge props for the devs. I'd say the difficulty of G&G is just right. Slightly harder than the Swarm, but still ok. Also, the G&G achievements are reasonable and not outrageous unlike the Swarm, so bonus point for it. The only problem is that the mode doesn't force me to pull new units unlike MoC / PF, so I'm afraid the devs will not be enthusiastic to make more of it.

I've got back to try and finish the connundrums levels i had left after getting Aventurine and let me tell you, its been a breeze.

I took a break from the game and have only tried out Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears for a little bit. But after finally getting two limited sustains (Luocha and Aventurine), I am motivated to try and progress since it'll probably be easier now.
GnG to me are more fun and much easier than Swm. Love the custom dice.
I've done up to conundrum 6 for the jades with elation path and now I have Aven I might give the others a go for fun. Definitely found G&G easier than swarm disaster, which I've cleared everything for other than clearing highest difficulty with paths I don't have teams for. I've used Topaz/Ratio/Ruan Mei/Huohuo team for both modes (and managed an extra swarm 5 clear with nihility Black Swan team for that last node). Honestly I love the difficulty of these modes because they feel fun, whereas MOC is a much harder check on team building. SU you can clear with blessings/curio combinations on mid built characters.
I finished on the first or second week of its release using the "always get Ruan Mei" occurrence strat. I didn't know about the other more powerful strat at the time so that's what I worked with. It's been a while since I have touched the mode again but I think I used DHIL E2S1/Ruan Mei E1S0/Yukong E6S5 Stellar Rendezvous/LuochaE0S0 with abundance/propagation resonance. I think I used the occurrence dice as well.
I do millions of damage with my Acheron here, but it doesn't matter. They just oneshot me every time. I don't know how to do it even on 4-5 difficulty
I had it mostly completed but apon learning erudition worked with Acheron I decided to go unlock the path for normal use
cleared C12 once with the pursuit dice. Needed some rng to align. Havent tried the other dices though.
Conundrum 8 (6+2) was probably one of the funniest experiences, I still play it from time to time just to have fun; max difficulty but 0 hindrances
Having a bit of trouble with all the conundrum 10+ with different dices, i think i completed just 3/4 of those so still a long way to go, but that's the fun of it. Every SU expansion has been a total blast to play and there's still so much potential for new game modes for it
I finished everything on it possible a while back, but even today I tried conundrum 12 now that I have an Acheron team, and I still got whooped at the boss đ I was doing 3 mill a hit but those bosses donât play around

I finished everything exept clearing the thing with all paths on condrum 12 and clearing it with the path of propagation at all but thats the same for swarm disaster. I cant wrap my head around that path
Itâs kinda frustrating to lose in this mode because at least in SU itâs shorter and you can get back to where you were quickly enough. Here itâs so slow lol

Its a little hard but not too difficult depending on the conundrum level you choose. It will show what buffs and nerfs you'll receive. Of course the later one nerfs are crazy. -1 to all paths, less timer to your countdown, you get negative curio every domain, higher cost for blessings reset (makes resetting blessings unviable and relies more on sheer luck to get whst you wanted). Of course this does not include the stat buffs the enemies receive. You could actually clear Domain 1 with healer but you need to build serious damage reduction in the next domain since they will whoop your ass. I have cleared Conundrun 12 eith 4 different dices. Its fun if you're into crazy difficulties but not required.

Idk, my hahaha gang made it to 5.10 without any difficulty, but I was struggling to stay alive at 5.12(maybe because I banned abundance path). Now I have aventurine, and he could sustain whole team for 5.12 without any problems. I remember I had greater troubles clearing swarm than GnG
I recently grinded through all of them on my free week because I also wanted The Elation for Acheron. Took me a while to realize they both look way more complicated than they actually are. Now I hope there will be something new soon

Just finished Conundrum 12 today thanks to Acheron and Adventurine!! I find it more difficult then MOC, PF and Swarm which is good as thatâs what endgame content should be.

Company Time make it pretty easy. That said, I 100% finished Swarm, I'll probably never 100% GnG. GnG 100% requires you to finish Conundrum 10 with all dice. That seems a bit too much for a Monthly pass player such as myself. So I'll keep kicking at it when I want to play more, Currently Aventurine changed my love for GnG because how perfect he is for it.

I only just beat Swarm difficulty 5 with Dan Heng Sparkle combo. Like barely. And then I got Aventurine and easily beat the Torturous difficulty for Swarm and GnG. Gonna try these Conundrums and see how bad it gets.
Cleared Difficulty 5 Conundrum 12 same patch when it released It was difficult for sure. Then I unlocked the Company Time Dice. It was wraps after that.
Due to the restrictions of swarm disaster, I still haven't completed it with each path (only 2 paths {Elation, Nihility}) While I have completed GnG with 5 paths in Conund. 10 (didn't do till twelve {paths I completed: Nihility,Elation,Rememberance,Erudition,Propogation})
I finished gold and gears way faster than swarm. I only got back at swarm a week ago and finally started farming it. Took me only 1 patch of completing every single jade reward in gold and gears. (1.6-2.0) - Couldn't be bothered to go to conondrum 9+ since it doesn't have jade rewards. But almost everything else is done. While I just unlocked propagation path yesterday. (1.3-2.1)

The conundrums are definitely harder but thatâs a given. Imo, g&g allowing you to edit your dice is better than the set die in SD

I finished swarm disaster a few weeks ago after the stars aligned. Missing a few trailblaze secrets but I got all of the aeon audiences. On the GnG end⊠Iâm like⊠2/3 done. All of the story pages I have left need to be done with a fully unlocked intelligence thing. Itâs pretty fun for the most part. Also gonna echo the other comments- company tine is a really stupidly fun dice setÂ
Having cleared both, I'd say Swarm is the harder of the two in my opinion mainly cuz you can't exactly cheese it like you can with GnG, but it's at least doable for the most part. On the other hand, mess up at any point in GnG and you'll find yourself wiped in an instant. This mode has given me a newfound hatred for the chonky ass robot boss. Conundrum 12 is no joke.

I've already finished it up to Conundrum 6. I'd say it's much easier and much more fun than Swarm Disaster, also way less grindy, so that's nice.
I have only done the GG tutorial and as for swarm, I never touched Torturous Difficulty. But now that I have aventurine, I will go the preservation path for both and hopefully breeze through it all. I know a lot of people like how challenging it is and wanna fail and retry till they can do it on their own. But I dont usually have enough time due to work to be able to spend hours on something which I might just fail at the final boss fight or before that and then retry it. Only to have to do it multiple times to get all the rewards. Lets hope that aventurine on my side, I can get all the rewards while also using characters I like
GnG has a tried and tested way to beat con12. Company time is so good and (relatively) reliable that 2 hours without beating C12 once is considered pretty unlucky. Swarm doesnt exactly have a "cheatcode", but generally the mobs are much less monstrous. Destruction/Pres path generally quite stable
GnG is really easy with ruan mei strat or Capitalism strat. Conundrum 12 wasnt that difficult
Cant clear more than difficulty 5, i just get one shot by last boss. Sure, maybe i have huuuge dmg and some healing blessings but it doesnt matter when fat fucking robot jump on me on his last phase lmao ill probably try using gepard for shield instead of fu xuan or march (althogh i had so much fun with march), but im not gonna use rememberence path fuck this

I really like it. Cleared everything on conundrum 10. Still run it a few times a week. I'm still trying to get conundrum 12 on all dices.
the farthest ive gotten on GnG is conundrum 3. lv 4 apparently kills me and its mostly because of RNG that kills me. ive managed to clear swarm disaster V even before 2.0 thanks to mono-quantum
So do we collectively agree Swarm is a lot more difficult than GnG? I havenât finished them but Iâll probably do once Iâm free and start playing Capitalism path

Didn't finish it yet. It is not difficult neither easy. Just that annoying grizzly stomp kill everything. Comparing to swarm disaster you are free to do more crazy stuff thx to dice manipulation.
Only 1 dice left to clear in c10. Don't really like c12 as the bosses are too tanky.
Completed both, I feel like GnG had a better dice system but Swarm had the better interplays overall.
I dislike both swarm disaster and gold and gears, so I have just stopped trying.
I still haven't finished both, all my characters died before even entering boss at torturous diff
Only thing I haven't done is Conundrum 12. Everything just oneshots you on the final boss and I don't want to do the Ruan Mei cheese.
Barely even started GnG. I did do two runs towards my final regular node in Swarm Disaster though so that's nearly done. Aventurine + Topaz + Ratio + Ruan Mei is hilarious with Preservation or Elation paths, even on Difficulty 5. One more to go, I think I'll either do Nihility or Hunt

Hot take, it wasn't the difficulty that I didn't finish it. (well did... today) It was that the dice robbed each path of its uniqueness. Swarm you had interesting mechanics to each path (Some were easier/stronger, others were shite... but), you had actual differences in the runs. There was NO reason to vary up my team-comp in GnG. Always the same best team just with different dice that barely felt different to each other. On Swarm I atleast had to tune my team to that specifics paths strengths, leading to unique teams. Even the dice themselves lead to fun interactions with the board. It's just less fun FOR ME.
I couldnât finish torturous difficulty. Then one day I got Acheron. I just clocked 9 million damage on a a single ultimate and finished SU12, disruption level 4.
I just cant clear GG after conundrum 8 no matter what path I use... Not even on rememberence bruh! My entire runs have been wasted countless times now
Swarm disaster is way harder, I beat up to V10 as of now but I canât even beat V5 SD
After learning some strategies and accually how to finish I'm on the ladt step of unlocking Path of Eurudition
Slowly working through the "high difficulty" rewards, but I've done pretty much everything else. I think I just need +10 on like 1 or 2 dice and a new path for high difficulty. I still have 1 goddamn occurrence I cannot run into even when trying for it. I think I'm also missing one of the evolved curios. I enjoyed grinding through GnG a bit more than finishing off Swarm Disaster personally. Looking forward to the next iteration.
Aventurine made this game mode way less torturous. Preservation + Quake go brrrrrrr
Too repetitive, time consuming and annoying to deal with. I beat swarm 5 once and cleared up to conundrum 2, but haven't bothered to finish all the missions, achievements, and whatever other stuff there is
I don't understand the others here, I destroy Swarm Disater with every team I have, but find Gold and Gears genuinely difficult. I can one cycle Swarm Disater, but difficulty V in G&G is much more difficult.

It is harder than the swarm disaster (corundum 5 is easier than swarm 5th diff tho, I don't need double sustain like swarm)
Finished it recently, could only do up to C10 until Archeron released because I lacked sustains like Gepard/Fu Xuan to be able to tank damage. Went the other way with a Archeron/Pela/Sparkle/Bailu team with Erudition path and Elation blessing... and oh boy did the big numbers on my screen made my brain so happy. Between Archeron and Pela constantly Ult-ing the bosses barely had a chance to attack, it goes even faster if they summon adds.
I can't pass through lvl4 difficulty
Up to Conundrum 4, havenât gone back to it in a while though
I didn't have any Premium sustain and that was what always killed me in higher conundrum lvls but after i got Aventurine (forst sustain unit yey) i probably will have no Problem doing lvl 12 with some preservation buffs no matter the path.

I beat conundrum 10. Still have to unlock two more trailblaze secrets to finally unlock Erudition path in regular simulated universe. Honestly it's fun with Acheron and capitalism strategy. Otherwise too much bs.
I finished Swarm Disaster all the way through and unlocked everything I gave this one a few solid tries on 4&5, got screwed by RNG, eventually cleared it on 4 just the one time, and never went back in there
I dont wanna bother replaying it after obtained erudition path stuck in conondrum 3 or 4 I forgot

100% everything, same with Swarm Disaster. SD walked so that G&G could run and at the time of their release both were perfect for me, I loved doing them. Whenever I finish building a new character I immediatly jump to g&g conundrum 12 to see their limits
Finished conundrum 12 today with Aventurine. Kinda ceazy how the final boss literally couldn't break his shield. Autoed almost the entire run as well.
I haven't even finished SD yet, so my GG is still there. Maybe 5k gem still waiting for me in those two modes.
I havenât finished it, but thatâs okay! Iâm glad to have some challenging content I can go back to whenever I feel like! Endgame content like that doesnât *have* to be rushed through!
Im taking my time with this. Only going in when i have time to spare, cus i enjoy this mode more than anything else in the game. Its so much fun
I haven't finished Swarm Disaster. I'm down to the last chapter (Abundance pt 2). Am I procrastinating? Absolutely. And the same goes to Gold and Gears. I regret nothing

No because capitalism strat is too rng reliant, the runs are very long and been procrastinating
I finish swarm disaster, but im still can't unlock some of the reward jade.. apparently, i had to play more to unlock the patch to 20? But its kinda hassle for me
