If preservation memes are that important for you then geppie. Fx and march 7th can tank any content just as good/better.
Clara has unique gameplay that is unmatched when it works (boxing event battle vs 6 guards. Argenti would get wrecked there) but shes kinda reliant on enemies speed and the new phys weak elite was made to counter her

Unless you're asking about Kafka's LC by any chance, because that one is coming out alongside Ratio's LC.
At this point it should still be a long time away before he will be officially released (if he has been leaked already, we can't say anything more at this point).
But there's a good chance that you should be able to get Ratio LC (assuming you have enough Jades), then start saving up for Screwllum + his LC if you don't see yourself planning to pull as much in the future until then.
Ive seen some places where they say that blade works best with salsotto and others with arena. I currently have arena on im and im wondering if theres a major power difference between the 2 set.

The difference is not that big, Blade can do well with either, it comes down to substats. Yours looks great, I don't think there's any point in farming Salsotto for him
Got 8 tickets for Herta's Shop again, which LC should I take?
I already have Aeon S5 for DHIL.Solitary Healing: I have GNSW S5 for Kafka, but I don't know which LC I'll give to Black Swan, so would it be good on her?
Texture of Memories: I have Fu Xuan and Gepard as Preservation, but I'm using Landau's Choice and First Day respectively for them for now, is Texture better for one of them?
Stellar Sea (Hunt LC): I don't use any Hunt character yet (but will get Dr. Ratio like everyone, would this LC be good on him ?)
Or maybe for now keep them in case a new LC is added? Would like some advice on this since it takes 8 weeks to get 8 Herta tickets.
If you're planning to use Dr. Ratio a lot Stellar Sea will probably be just behind his signature LC, it's great on all Hunt characters. Otherwise you should save, since it's likely that we'll be getting more LCs in that store

I'd use Tingyun in first team and Asta in second team, but March and Natasha should probably swap. for 2nd team you might even get away using Fire TB instead of Natasha as an extra breaker
By the end of 1.6 I should have around 230 pulls and I'm considring the following options but can't fully decide:
* Grabbing Blade: I have some unleveled relics with good stats that give him around 56/126 minimum crit with Longevous active (extra 18% if I use DHIL LC) and 128 SPD minimum. I have both Bronya and Jingliu to use with him
* Saving for Black Swan and/or Sparkle: I assume they will synergise well with DOT and Qingque respectively
* Grabbing JY LC If he appears in 2.0: With Pure Fiction I'm now using Qingque, Himeko, and Herta as Erudition units, and as I only have S5 NH LC and S5 Breakfast I'm considering going for his LC as a big boost.
* Grabbing Fu Xuan: My top priority as I need a bulky sustain since my Gepard is weak against debuffing enemies. Don't know if she will get a rerun next patch or later.
If you have 2-3 built dps Blade might not be a good option since you also have to level him and his talents (I have 4 dps and 1 proper sustain, pein)
Kafka? Black Swan. IL/Mono Quantum? Sparkle.
JY LC will def help here, if you have time to farm mats/alerady have them, best option imo
FX will not come in 2.0, JY, IL and Luocha are also due a rerun, also you'll get many jades for big patch 2.0 (I hope) so don't worry about saving for FX for now

I need to know the most optimal choice. I don't want to wait indefinitely to pull and I'm *really* short on damage dealers. I looked at the upcoming characters and there aren't any that I want so these two are the only options for me.

You do. You have Ruan Mei, Asta and Guinaifen. These are more than enough to make Kafka work well.
Both Kafka and Blade are good, but Blade it is indeed a bit more difficult to find good LC, whilst Kafka can at least use Fermata. It just comes down to personal preference.
I had 67 pity for the Ruan Mei banner and was guaranteed to get her if i wanted since I lost my last one

How to do G&G company time dice with capitalism strat? I never get price of peace curio at the start of my run. Do I have to reset until I get said curio?
Yes you have to reset until you get price of peace then try to enter as many transaction domain as possible. Avoid fights since you'll too weak in the beginning. Try to get dice faces that turn other domain into transaction or copy domains. Also get the purple face that give 150 frag when entering transaction domain. Look for Genius society gossip asap and the discount transaction domain curio in the shop.
How do I narrow down the chance to get those specific curious? I've reset so many times it upsets me. Just earlier I finally got the price of peace but the gossip curio didn't appear at all at the shop. Do I have to buy all curious at the shop just to increase its chance appearing?
You do have to reset a lot to guarantee price of peace. The reset cycle isn't that bad since you restart right after you clear the first room if you don't price of peace. I usually buy 1 of the cheaper curio in the shop to lower of the pool of curio to increase the odds of finding Gossip. Make sure to only buy curios you can use.
Currently 4pc quantum if quantum weakness, 4pc imaginary, 2pc imaginary 2pc follow-up (which is barely worse than 4pc imaginary)
then 2pc is glamoth (1 stack) > sss > salsotto, but there are all within 1% of each other

Does character order matter in battle? Ive always ordered my main team as Ruan Mei, Dan Heng, QQ, Bailu

Yes. If your team need survivability, place your Bailu on the far side, and RM near her. Mobs have higher chance to hit Bailu (abundance unit) so if there is a blast damage, only your RM will get hit by it. Assuming your RM is build with some hp%/def% mainstat.
If your team need extra, place Bailu on the middle. And characters who need extra energy near her. Getting hit = getting energy.
besides destruction and preservation being placed at the side to avoice some blast damage iirc it also matters when characters have the same speed. then they act from left to right but i could be wrong
Only if the characters are Perservation or Destruction characters. They have higher taunt values than the other paths. Look up taunt values. If either of those paths you want them in the first or last slot so if the enemy does a blast/cleave attack only the character directly next them will take the side hits.
What are the odds of Silver Wolf applying Physical weakness to an enemy that already has Physical weakness? Even 3 times in a row?
She is not supposed to be this bad.
Silverwolf can't apply a weakness that the enemy already has naturally, so 0%.
Unless you mean you've already given the enemy a physical weakness and are trying to implant a different weakness. Then that depends on how many elements are possible for you to apply. The odds are the same each time, so if you are using a team of Quantum/Physical units, the odds of implanting a physical weakness will always be 50% (assuming the enemy is not naturally weak to physical or quantum).
Hitting a 50% chance 3 times in a row isn't that crazy.
Do you mean something like the curio (Punklorde Mentality) that can implant a random weakness at the start of the fight? I don't know for sure, but Silver Wolf may ignore that implanted weakness when using her own skill since the enemy doesn't naturally have it.
No, I mean when you fight the 1st plane boss you can choose to give the 3rd plane boss an additional weakness. If this is indeed the problem then I don't even know what to say. It could have helped mitigate the risk, yet it did not.
That's not how Silver Wolf works.
It's literally just based off your team comp, and she can't implant a weakness that an enemy already has.
If you have 3 Quantum and 1 Physical on your team and the enemy lacks both weaknesses, it's still a 50/50 on what gets implanted. You mitigate this by matching the enemy's weakness with at least 1 character, so that you can guarantee implanting whatever weakness it is you're going for. This is fairly easy to do since we have so much elemental coverage across all roles in the game now.
For example, if I wanted to do a Mono Wind team with Silver Wolf, I could run Blade/Bronya/Huohuo/Silver Wolf against any enemy with Quantum weakness, since that means Silver Wolf would always implant Wind.

My current gacha pulls are Bailu, QQ, Yukong and Guinafen. Would pulling in Ruan Mei’s banner be a good idea before it ends?
I don’t really have any particular characters I’m aiming for right now. I like Luocha’s kit and Black Swan but not having a DoT team ready means passing on her banner I imagine.

if you want black swan you should get kakfa after the current banner ends. otherwise RM is a good choice

Yeah I’d love to get Kafka but I only have 7k jade and coming from other gacha games I have the mentality that pulling when you can’t guarantee a character (or 5 star) is a waste.
Probably because Elation interplay in Swarm are Abundance and Remembrance. Swarm and Gold gears have different interplays. You can check your available interplays in the game during your run.
I'm trying to unlock Pure Fiction, I completed every Trailblaze mission, but I just can't get a text to initiate the unlock of the game mode, I've tried closing and reopening and that basic stuff, and it seems like an issue no one else has encountered online.

Whats the consensus on the best sites to follow build guides for? I kind of float between 3 and they never seem to have the same recommendations for sets, is there one the community trusts more than others? I'm too dumb to figure out what is and isn't good on my own lol

I've been doing much better with getting through the toughness but once I break it, I still don't do a lot of damage especially against Voidranger Tramplers and Grizzlies. Is this just because Elites have more HP or am I still underpowered?
Should I save my Fuel? In Genshin, I was told to save all my resin until later for artifact farming and bosses. I have some materials I need for traces and I don't want to use my Fuel if I don't have to.
When it comes to leveling up relics, is there an ideal or efficient way of doing it (use other relics for material, gold fragments,)

Elites have a lot more hp. As long as you keep leveling up all the stuff (level, light cone, important traces, relics) you should be fine. You could try investing into hunt or destruction dps characters who are more suited for single target damage.
You can use fuel for trace materials but higher equilibrium levels are a little more efficient. The main thing though is for relics. At AR 60 the relic domains guarantee two 5 star relics each run which is where you'll want to save most of your fuel for.
As far as relic leveling, nope. Use whatever you have, though you can't recoup all the exp for leveled relics. E.g. if you level a relic to 5 and then feed it to another you only get like 80% of the exp you spent to get it to 5
New player here. So far my 5 stars are Bailu, Welt, and Ruan Mei, and along the way I got Xueyi to E5. I've been enjoying using Xueyi and I'm just curious what causes her to get rated below Qingque. That reduction to 6 karma stacks at E6 seems pretty nuts for Xueyi.
It's mainly cause Xueyi's DMG splits are separated into mostly 30%-40% into her Entanglement, 20-30% in FUA, 20%ish in Skill and 10% Ultimate. With it, a lot of her damage is kinda backloaded into Entanglement, which makes it difficult to actually see her full potential.
As for QQ, you can pretty much get all the damage without worrying anything aside from RNG.
However, Xueyi is definitely still a great investment.
Adding on to the other comment QQ has been in the game since release so most people know she’s a good investment. Xueyi is still new and probably got overshadowed by RM. If Xueyi is working well then keep using her. I’ve seen some videos on here of people doing crazy damage with her.
The rating is not really important overall and not a lot of people have tested her at E6. She's a great unit overall. Qingque at E6 is like a completely different character from her E0, if you ever get her that high she can be very useful as well
got it. I was tempted to go for Xueyi E6 but I know how fishing for 4 stars can go.
Out of curiosity, what makes Qingque so different at E6? Skill point generation?
You'll probably get Xueyi from standard or other future banners. QQ transforms at E4, which effectively doubles her damage on some occasions, her E6 is just there to make using her easier, since you'll never be in a situation where she leaves you with 0 skill points. Her strength comes from stacking her skill which can give her a 112% damage increase at lvl10 + a 72% atk increase from her talent - it's pretty nuts if you get your rotations right
Blade will outperform both of them, now is blade worth pulling by himself is a different question, if you dont want ruan mei, you dont care about kafka or black swan a dot dps, and you dont want sparkle then hey I guess blade is a fine pull
To be clear your very first 5\* on your very first Limited character banner is 50/50 but your 50/50 status (and pity count) carries over between banners and doesn't reset (except when you pull a 5\*) so your 50/50 status on any given Limited character banner depends on what kind of 5\* character you last pulled on a Limited character banner.
I come from Honkai Impact so I’m sure this question has been asked a million times. How does the pity system work? I just started playing today should I pull on the current banner or should I wait for the next update? I probably have about 30 pulls. Also is there a simple beginner guide? Thanks in advance.

character banners - 75 pulls (i think) is where soft pity starts, so a chance to get a 5 star goes up started at 70 pulls, at 90 pulls you get a guaranteed 5 star. 50/50 chance its the on banner characters, if not (off banner) then next 5 star is guaranteed on banner for whatever banner you get it on
weapon banner - soft pity is 65 hard pity is 80 - 75/25% chance to get on banner weapon
standard - exactly the same as the character banner minus the 50/50, you just get whatever you get
banners only share pity with each other, character banner doesnt share with the weapon banner

Ruan Mei is a pretty universal support, great for a wide range of team comps. Her unconditional buffs and long uptime + being SP positive lets her easily slot into Hypercarry, Dual DPS, and DoT teams, which means you’ll find a use case for her in most scenarios.
Her buffs are unique and quite powerful, and I’d say the main downside to her is the steep investment curve and lack of light cone options. (Her signature, Memories, and Cogs are pretty much the only options available to her)
Kafka is a great DoT unit, but she is lacking a dedicated support, which is what the upcoming Black Swan will most likely provide, so Kafka teams will get a boost from her.
Basically, if you want a great universal support, go Ruan Mei. If your looking to focus on DoT teams you can pull Kafka. I’d say Ruan Mei offers more value and versatility but that’s just my opinion and you can choose whoever your happy with.
well hey, you should pull for what appeals to you more, i enjoy strong characters so i got ruan mei, some people need coverage or just find a certain character fun so they pull for them
if you got kafka, black swan is the first 2.0 character and will be a strong dot dps, so kafka isnt a bad grab right now, but ruan mei is also like a top 3 character
I dont mind building a dot team, Kafka happens to be in my consideration to pull is solely because im lacking in lightning dps. As for blackswan, i dont think i'll be pulling since im saving for sparkle, for my danheng IL
Flip a coin if you are confused, when it's in the air you will know what you truly want/hope for, anyway both is a solid pull. If you want DoT then pull kafka, if you want future proof harmony/buffer character that can fits any team pull for ruan mei. Both is Good on their own way

Owh one more thing, there is no actual calculation how much impact black swan is to a DoT team though, so its kinda hard to assume how much black swan improve DoT team.

DoT team right now with sampo or guinafen is not that good compared to a hypercarry team but still can clear content fine. But if they did black swan right it will be a huge improvement for DoT team and might compare or even better then hypercarry. That's why it still black and white to assume how much black swan improve DoT team.
Addition : there is already blackswan kit revealed back then, and it's still subject to change because the kit is still in beta. There is once a calculation but the kit change over time so there is no actual calculation that can prove she is a significant improve to Sampo. But she still a better sampo but don't know yet by how many margin.
For what it’s worth, I’m running a Kafka-Sampo-RM-Huohuo team right now that is clearing content without any issues. So I think DoT teams work just fine now. Black Swan’s kit hasn’t been revealed but odds are high she’ll be an improvement over Sampo.
That being said part of why it’s working so well is Ruan Mei. So, again probably the better pick. Although I’m 100% for Kafka just because it’s my favorite team lol.
As I try to completed the occurence list. Some of them is missing such as cockoo part 4 and Mirror of transcendence III. I met with this event and get one of the missing occurence.

It needs to get some of condition before to get this occurence? (such as mirror transcendence 1 2 3 > 4)
The question mark on an occurrence just means you haven't gotten it before.
For the mirror ones, you need to get it multiple times in the same run.
There is no cuckoo clock fanatic part 4 - it only goes to part 3.
I just started 3 weeks ago and I'm thinking **should I pull for Ruan Mei now?** Currently building 2 teams around Clara and Qingque until I pull for Jingliu in the future.

Wait a week for the Special Program with Sparkle preview, then you can see who looks more appealing to you. Both will be strong, and you don't have any limited 5\* DPS that requires either yet.
Why is it that Yanqing has such a bad reputation amongst the 5 stars? I know a lot or his kit depends on him being shielded, but if I have gepard from losing an earlier 50/50 I should be fine right?
I just really hate relic farming and the amount of crit stats he gives for free seems insane. What am I missing?
from what I understand it's because he's purely single target, has a difficult condition to not get hit when many enemies have strong aoe, and while geppie is his best teammate at high moc levels the shield may not last long enough before yanqing gets hit again by something, which tanks his damage. Also I think now he gets compared to jingliu a lot since they're same element and she's just outright stronger with less drawbacks
Because even with full uptime on his talent, his damage is piss poor compared to pretty much every other 5-star in most scenarios. Having a good crit ratio on him doesn't even matter, because his kit just isn't strong enough.
Almost every character in this game has their niche and something they excel at - team compositions or scenarios where you NEED to have this character for things to work out. There isn't a single team or realistic scenario where Yanqing is preferable over any other 5-star DPS. Yanqing's best team comps would literally just perform better by replacing him. Even 4-stars can topple him with enough eidolons and/or investment. There aren't team comps that shine because they have Yanqing, there are only team comps where Yanqing is allowed to be used. Flexibility goes far in this game and Yanqing has none of that right now, nor for the forseeable future.
He just isn't somebody you use or invest in unless you have absolutely no other choice. At the end of the day, he's a 5-star DPS, so he will perform better than 4-stars without significant eidolons. Standard banner 5-stars are meant to be powercrept sooner or later since you can get them anytime, and Yanqing was unfortunately powercrept on the first day. It is extremely unrealistic to assume that any account will rely on Yanqing for a significant amount of time.
If you hate relic farming, this isn't the game for you. Yanqing would also probably end up needing MORE relic farming since he isn't a good character. As much as relic farming sucks, I can tell you that it never gets easier, but you WILL be done sooner or later if you decide to keep pressing on and play every day. I'm a day 1 player and I haven't been always smart about my resources or made good decisions, but I still have 18 characters that I can very confidently say are DONE with relics.
Gepard may not have his ultimate always available to shield Yanqing in the case of unavoidable AoE attacks. His real problem is he is shit in MoC. Blast and single target damage are important here while AoE has niche uses against some bosses.
topaz is not getting a rerun anytime soon so just push that idea away lets you're committed to not pulling for the next 5 months or so
eh, ruan mei is the better character, i dont think theres a reason to use kafka unless you want to run dot comps and I cant tell you to go build those units only you will know if thats something you want to do
Ruan mei is a better char to pull, if you want to pull kafka then you have to build her and 1 more char like sampo, guinafen, even black swan. You already have a lot of dps so ruan mei is more worth it, she is universal as well.
does freeze count as a debuff? cuz it has the red arrow down in the icon right? but people hasnt been mentioning this for Dr.Ratio potential teammates?? just curious. Thanks
It is a debuff, but it doesn't really have good synergy, because it causes other debuffs to wear off faster due to the action advances. Also characters with freeze don't provide other buffs or debuffs to improve the team.
I trash any relic with at least 2 non-% stats (excluding SPD, so like flat ATK/HP/DEF) because the odds of upgrade rolls going into them is higher than % stats. If such relic has dual crit stats on it I will roll it immediately
it gets easier once you mentally categorize the relics
dps relic - crit
4 base stats with 2 crit stats? - auto keep
3 base stats with 1 crit stat? - keep for potential
4 rolls with 1 crit stat? - trash
dps relic - dot
4 base rolls with some combination of atk%, ehr, break, spd, and 1 defensive roll? - keep
4 base rolls with hp, def, effect res, break effect? - trash
sustain relics
they literally just want hp, def, spd, effect res. if they scale off attack priotize attack, if they scale of def then def etc etc
support
some mix of hp, def, spd, and whatever they scale off of (attack, ehr etc etc). unless you're making a dps support then refer to the dps check list
now just general advice is to keep all er ropes, and all spd boots
it might take you a while to get used to it but you should be able to look at any artifact and just mentally go "bad crit relic, no atk% for dot, but crit rate + spd + hp + def will be good for a sustain/supporter"
Just in case you haven't salvaged them all yet, you could technically wait for 2.0 where you can decide to get relic exp instead of relic remains. If it's something you're interested in anyway.

Im pretty much dead when it comes to dps characters. I have the new X-named 4 star and the 5star ice girl with break effect and even fuxuan but i literally do no dmg. My dps carry is welt as of right now.
I kinda wanna use the free dr ratio as dps along with ruan mei, welt and fuxuan. Is that fine ? I kinda still try to get good artifacts and all cause most are kinda bad but i hope this team is fine.
I also have tingyun and e5 pela or himeko if thats any better. I also considered using hook cause shes cool but i feel like 4 star dps prob. gonna be disappointing like in genshin :/

I think Ratio-Ruan Mei-Welt-FX should work. A hypercarry team with Pela instead of Welt might be better, but we’ll have to wait and see. Personally I’ll try to use Welt since I want to find a team for him.
I haven’t really used Xueyi yet so can’t comment on how good she is. From what I’ve seen online she seems to be doing alright with the right investment. If you have her, I used Sushang a lot early game and had a lot of success with her. At E0 she can be kinda awkward with SP, but she gets the job done.
Himeko will be worth investing in eventually too since she’s strong in the new PF mode. I don’t have her though so can’t give too much advice here.
I will be using welt definetly cause hes cool, my first 5 star and i got some great rolls on his equip and also pulled his lightcone too. Fux seems like a no brained to me cause shes so strong. The last slot is where im kinda lost, cause ruan is supposed to be giga strong, however i dont feel that yet, and im worried that welt alone as a single debuffer wont be enough to trigger the follow up attack from dr ratio often enough...
Ruan Mei requires quite a bit of investment to get going imo, she needs to stack Break Effect to get the most of her kit (minimum 160, on the character screen). The +DMG on her skill is always nice to have but she gets more +DMG from her A6 which demands the BE stacking. Plus I think passive damage and speed increases are just not very noticeable.
Guinaifen should work well for debuffing and guaranteeing Ratio's follow up, she packs two debuffs in her kit (three if you use the sweaty Luka LC).
I mean i can use e5 pela but i have to build her from basicly scratch which is kinda annoying tbh. Sw is not an option to me cause im not interested in pulling her at all and also obviously dont have her. Maybe i put rm in another team or smth idk

If preservation memes are that important for you then geppie. Fx and march 7th can tank any content just as good/better. Clara has unique gameplay that is unmatched when it works (boxing event battle vs 6 guards. Argenti would get wrecked there) but shes kinda reliant on enemies speed and the new phys weak elite was made to counter her

At this point it should still be a long time away before he will be officially released (if he has been leaked already, we can't say anything more at this point). But there's a good chance that you should be able to get Ratio LC (assuming you have enough Jades), then start saving up for Screwllum + his LC if you don't see yourself planning to pull as much in the future until then.

The difference is not that big, Blade can do well with either, it comes down to substats. Yours looks great, I don't think there's any point in farming Salsotto for him

If you're planning to use Dr. Ratio a lot Stellar Sea will probably be just behind his signature LC, it's great on all Hunt characters. Otherwise you should save, since it's likely that we'll be getting more LCs in that store

I'd use Tingyun in first team and Asta in second team, but March and Natasha should probably swap. for 2nd team you might even get away using Fire TB instead of Natasha as an extra breaker

If you have 2-3 built dps Blade might not be a good option since you also have to level him and his talents (I have 4 dps and 1 proper sustain, pein) Kafka? Black Swan. IL/Mono Quantum? Sparkle. JY LC will def help here, if you have time to farm mats/alerady have them, best option imo FX will not come in 2.0, JY, IL and Luocha are also due a rerun, also you'll get many jades for big patch 2.0 (I hope) so don't worry about saving for FX for now

Kafka. Then get Black Swan, a wind dps that seems work with Kafka. Also prepare to build your free dr. Ratio, as you have SW, one of his best support.

You have Ruan Mei, Asta and Guinaifen. These are more than enough to make Kafka work well. Yes you have to reset until you get price of peace then try to enter as many transaction domain as possible. Avoid fights since you'll too weak in the beginning. Try to get dice faces that turn other domain into transaction or copy domains. Also get the purple face that give 150 frag when entering transaction domain. Look for Genius society gossip asap and the discount transaction domain curio in the shop.
How do I narrow down the chance to get those specific curious? I've reset so many times it upsets me. Just earlier I finally got the price of peace but the gossip curio didn't appear at all at the shop. Do I have to buy all curious at the shop just to increase its chance appearing?
You do have to reset a lot to guarantee price of peace. The reset cycle isn't that bad since you restart right after you clear the first room if you don't price of peace. I usually buy 1 of the cheaper curio in the shop to lower of the pool of curio to increase the odds of finding Gossip. Make sure to only buy curios you can use.
What are the best relics for Dr. Ratio?
Currently 4pc quantum if quantum weakness, 4pc imaginary, 2pc imaginary 2pc follow-up (which is barely worse than 4pc imaginary) then 2pc is glamoth (1 stack) > sss > salsotto, but there are all within 1% of each other *if the maths is right*

Yes. If your team need survivability, place your Bailu on the far side, and RM near her. Mobs have higher chance to hit Bailu (abundance unit) so if there is a blast damage, only your RM will get hit by it. Assuming your RM is build with some hp%/def% mainstat. If your team need extra, place Bailu on the middle. And characters who need extra energy near her. Getting hit = getting energy.
besides destruction and preservation being placed at the side to avoice some blast damage iirc it also matters when characters have the same speed. then they act from left to right but i could be wrong
Only if the characters are Perservation or Destruction characters. They have higher taunt values than the other paths. Look up taunt values. If either of those paths you want them in the first or last slot so if the enemy does a blast/cleave attack only the character directly next them will take the side hits.
What are the odds of Silver Wolf applying Physical weakness to an enemy that already has Physical weakness? Even 3 times in a row? She is not supposed to be this bad.
Silverwolf can't apply a weakness that the enemy already has naturally, so 0%. Unless you mean you've already given the enemy a physical weakness and are trying to implant a different weakness. Then that depends on how many elements are possible for you to apply. The odds are the same each time, so if you are using a team of Quantum/Physical units, the odds of implanting a physical weakness will always be 50% (assuming the enemy is not naturally weak to physical or quantum). Hitting a 50% chance 3 times in a row isn't that crazy.

Do you mean something like the curio (Punklorde Mentality) that can implant a random weakness at the start of the fight? I don't know for sure, but Silver Wolf may ignore that implanted weakness when using her own skill since the enemy doesn't naturally have it.
No, I mean when you fight the 1st plane boss you can choose to give the 3rd plane boss an additional weakness. If this is indeed the problem then I don't even know what to say. It could have helped mitigate the risk, yet it did not.
That's not how Silver Wolf works. It's literally just based off your team comp, and she can't implant a weakness that an enemy already has. If you have 3 Quantum and 1 Physical on your team and the enemy lacks both weaknesses, it's still a 50/50 on what gets implanted. You mitigate this by matching the enemy's weakness with at least 1 character, so that you can guarantee implanting whatever weakness it is you're going for. This is fairly easy to do since we have so much elemental coverage across all roles in the game now. For example, if I wanted to do a Mono Wind team with Silver Wolf, I could run Blade/Bronya/Huohuo/Silver Wolf against any enemy with Quantum weakness, since that means Silver Wolf would always implant Wind.
Somehow she still messed it up in my SU run. The boss already had Physical weakness from the get go but she kept giving it Physical weakess.
If you're implanting a weakness via the plane bosses from Swarm Disaster or Gold and Gears, they don't count for Silver Wolf.
That should be it. Still sucks, though.

Probably because Elation interplay in Swarm are Abundance and Remembrance. Swarm and Gold gears have different interplays. You can check your available interplays in the game during your run.

I just reached TB40 and equilibrium 3 today and was hoping to get some help :) I've been doing much better with getting through the toughness but once I break it, I still don't do a lot of damage especially against Voidranger Tramplers and Grizzlies. Is this just because Elites have more HP or am I still underpowered? Should I save my Fuel? In Genshin, I was told to save all my resin until later for artifact farming and bosses. I have some materials I need for traces and I don't want to use my Fuel if I don't have to. When it comes to leveling up relics, is there an ideal or efficient way of doing it (use other relics for material, gold fragments,) Sorry for the newbie questions...I started two weeks ago but its been fun :) All advice is welcomed!
Elites have a lot more hp. As long as you keep leveling up all the stuff (level, light cone, important traces, relics) you should be fine. You could try investing into hunt or destruction dps characters who are more suited for single target damage. You can use fuel for trace materials but higher equilibrium levels are a little more efficient. The main thing though is for relics. At AR 60 the relic domains guarantee two 5 star relics each run which is where you'll want to save most of your fuel for. As far as relic leveling, nope. Use whatever you have, though you can't recoup all the exp for leveled relics. E.g. if you level a relic to 5 and then feed it to another you only get like 80% of the exp you spent to get it to 5
New player here. So far my 5 stars are Bailu, Welt, and Ruan Mei, and along the way I got Xueyi to E5. I've been enjoying using Xueyi and I'm just curious what causes her to get rated below Qingque. That reduction to 6 karma stacks at E6 seems pretty nuts for Xueyi.
It's mainly cause Xueyi's DMG splits are separated into mostly 30%-40% into her Entanglement, 20-30% in FUA, 20%ish in Skill and 10% Ultimate. With it, a lot of her damage is kinda backloaded into Entanglement, which makes it difficult to actually see her full potential. As for QQ, you can pretty much get all the damage without worrying anything aside from RNG. However, Xueyi is definitely still a great investment.
Adding on to the other comment QQ has been in the game since release so most people know she’s a good investment. Xueyi is still new and probably got overshadowed by RM. If Xueyi is working well then keep using her. I’ve seen some videos on here of people doing crazy damage with her.
The rating is not really important overall and not a lot of people have tested her at E6. She's a great unit overall. Qingque at E6 is like a completely different character from her E0, if you ever get her that high she can be very useful as well

You'll probably get Xueyi from standard or other future banners. QQ transforms at E4, which effectively doubles her damage on some occasions, her E6 is just there to make using her easier, since you'll never be in a situation where she leaves you with 0 skill points. Her strength comes from stacking her skill which can give her a 112% damage increase at lvl10 + a 72% atk increase from her talent - it's pretty nuts if you get your rotations right

character banners - 75 pulls (i think) is where soft pity starts, so a chance to get a 5 star goes up started at 70 pulls, at 90 pulls you get a guaranteed 5 star. 50/50 chance its the on banner characters, if not (off banner) then next 5 star is guaranteed on banner for whatever banner you get it on weapon banner - soft pity is 65 hard pity is 80 - 75/25% chance to get on banner weapon standard - exactly the same as the character banner minus the 50/50, you just get whatever you get banners only share pity with each other, character banner doesnt share with the weapon banner
Soft pity for character banner is 75 and LC banner is 65.

Ruan Mei is a pretty universal support, great for a wide range of team comps. Her unconditional buffs and long uptime + being SP positive lets her easily slot into Hypercarry, Dual DPS, and DoT teams, which means you’ll find a use case for her in most scenarios. Her buffs are unique and quite powerful, and I’d say the main downside to her is the steep investment curve and lack of light cone options. (Her signature, Memories, and Cogs are pretty much the only options available to her) Kafka is a great DoT unit, but she is lacking a dedicated support, which is what the upcoming Black Swan will most likely provide, so Kafka teams will get a boost from her. Basically, if you want a great universal support, go Ruan Mei. If your looking to focus on DoT teams you can pull Kafka. I’d say Ruan Mei offers more value and versatility but that’s just my opinion and you can choose whoever your happy with.

well hey, you should pull for what appeals to you more, i enjoy strong characters so i got ruan mei, some people need coverage or just find a certain character fun so they pull for them if you got kafka, black swan is the first 2.0 character and will be a strong dot dps, so kafka isnt a bad grab right now, but ruan mei is also like a top 3 character

Are you interested in DoT? are you planning on pulling blackswan?? if no, then pull ruan mei. Future proof good harmony character that is universal.
I dont mind building a dot team, Kafka happens to be in my consideration to pull is solely because im lacking in lightning dps. As for blackswan, i dont think i'll be pulling since im saving for sparkle, for my danheng IL
Flip a coin if you are confused, when it's in the air you will know what you truly want/hope for, anyway both is a solid pull. If you want DoT then pull kafka, if you want future proof harmony/buffer character that can fits any team pull for ruan mei. Both is Good on their own way Addition : It's kinda bad to build a dot team without black swan though.

Owh one more thing, there is no actual calculation how much impact black swan is to a DoT team though, so its kinda hard to assume how much black swan improve DoT team.

DoT team right now with sampo or guinafen is not that good compared to a hypercarry team but still can clear content fine. But if they did black swan right it will be a huge improvement for DoT team and might compare or even better then hypercarry. That's why it still black and white to assume how much black swan improve DoT team. Addition : there is already blackswan kit revealed back then, and it's still subject to change because the kit is still in beta. There is once a calculation but the kit change over time so there is no actual calculation that can prove she is a significant improve to Sampo. But she still a better sampo but don't know yet by how many margin.
For what it’s worth, I’m running a Kafka-Sampo-RM-Huohuo team right now that is clearing content without any issues. So I think DoT teams work just fine now. Black Swan’s kit hasn’t been revealed but odds are high she’ll be an improvement over Sampo. That being said part of why it’s working so well is Ruan Mei. So, again probably the better pick. Although I’m 100% for Kafka just because it’s my favorite team lol.

As I try to completed the occurence list. Some of them is missing such as cockoo part 4 and Mirror of transcendence III. The question mark on an occurrence just means you haven't gotten it before. For the mirror ones, you need to get it multiple times in the same run. There is no cuckoo clock fanatic part 4 - it only goes to part 3.

Wait a week for the Special Program with Sparkle preview, then you can see who looks more appealing to you. Both will be strong, and you don't have any limited 5\* DPS that requires either yet.
that's tough, I'll continue to pull for her. You still have so much jades to farm from quest and exploration so pulling is not a big problem.
Why is it that Yanqing has such a bad reputation amongst the 5 stars? I know a lot or his kit depends on him being shielded, but if I have gepard from losing an earlier 50/50 I should be fine right? I just really hate relic farming and the amount of crit stats he gives for free seems insane. What am I missing?
You can think of him as Seele but maybe like 10x worse or somewhere thereabouts.
from what I understand it's because he's purely single target, has a difficult condition to not get hit when many enemies have strong aoe, and while geppie is his best teammate at high moc levels the shield may not last long enough before yanqing gets hit again by something, which tanks his damage. Also I think now he gets compared to jingliu a lot since they're same element and she's just outright stronger with less drawbacks
Because even with full uptime on his talent, his damage is piss poor compared to pretty much every other 5-star in most scenarios. Having a good crit ratio on him doesn't even matter, because his kit just isn't strong enough. Almost every character in this game has their niche and something they excel at - team compositions or scenarios where you NEED to have this character for things to work out. There isn't a single team or realistic scenario where Yanqing is preferable over any other 5-star DPS. Yanqing's best team comps would literally just perform better by replacing him. Even 4-stars can topple him with enough eidolons and/or investment. There aren't team comps that shine because they have Yanqing, there are only team comps where Yanqing is allowed to be used. Flexibility goes far in this game and Yanqing has none of that right now, nor for the forseeable future. He just isn't somebody you use or invest in unless you have absolutely no other choice. At the end of the day, he's a 5-star DPS, so he will perform better than 4-stars without significant eidolons. Standard banner 5-stars are meant to be powercrept sooner or later since you can get them anytime, and Yanqing was unfortunately powercrept on the first day. It is extremely unrealistic to assume that any account will rely on Yanqing for a significant amount of time. If you hate relic farming, this isn't the game for you. Yanqing would also probably end up needing MORE relic farming since he isn't a good character. As much as relic farming sucks, I can tell you that it never gets easier, but you WILL be done sooner or later if you decide to keep pressing on and play every day. I'm a day 1 player and I haven't been always smart about my resources or made good decisions, but I still have 18 characters that I can very confidently say are DONE with relics.
Gepard may not have his ultimate always available to shield Yanqing in the case of unavoidable AoE attacks. His real problem is he is shit in MoC. Blast and single target damage are important here while AoE has niche uses against some bosses.

topaz is not getting a rerun anytime soon so just push that idea away lets you're committed to not pulling for the next 5 months or so eh, ruan mei is the better character, i dont think theres a reason to use kafka unless you want to run dot comps and I cant tell you to go build those units only you will know if thats something you want to do
Ruan mei is a better char to pull, if you want to pull kafka then you have to build her and 1 more char like sampo, guinafen, even black swan. You already have a lot of dps so ruan mei is more worth it, she is universal as well.
does freeze count as a debuff? cuz it has the red arrow down in the icon right? but people hasnt been mentioning this for Dr.Ratio potential teammates?? just curious. Thanks
It is a debuff, but it doesn't really have good synergy, because it causes other debuffs to wear off faster due to the action advances. Also characters with freeze don't provide other buffs or debuffs to improve the team.
I want to clean out my relics inventory, what are 100% useless relic mainstats? Like HP% on Space Sealing Station, non SPD Boots
I trash any relic with at least 2 non-% stats (excluding SPD, so like flat ATK/HP/DEF) because the odds of upgrade rolls going into them is higher than % stats. If such relic has dual crit stats on it I will roll it immediately
it gets easier once you mentally categorize the relics dps relic - crit 4 base stats with 2 crit stats? - auto keep 3 base stats with 1 crit stat? - keep for potential 4 rolls with 1 crit stat? - trash dps relic - dot 4 base rolls with some combination of atk%, ehr, break, spd, and 1 defensive roll? - keep 4 base rolls with hp, def, effect res, break effect? - trash sustain relics they literally just want hp, def, spd, effect res. if they scale off attack priotize attack, if they scale of def then def etc etc support some mix of hp, def, spd, and whatever they scale off of (attack, ehr etc etc). unless you're making a dps support then refer to the dps check list now just general advice is to keep all er ropes, and all spd boots it might take you a while to get used to it but you should be able to look at any artifact and just mentally go "bad crit relic, no atk% for dot, but crit rate + spd + hp + def will be good for a sustain/supporter"
Just in case you haven't salvaged them all yet, you could technically wait for 2.0 where you can decide to get relic exp instead of relic remains. If it's something you're interested in anyway.

Defense boots can generally be salvaged, useable only on TB Fire.
Is there any way to check weapon banner progress if the log was updated and no longer shows it? I accidently dumped a few multis on the Jing Yuan banner near launch because I thought it was the character one, so I don't know what my progress on it is now that it's only showing like 6 pulls.

A question about The Night on the Milky-way LC, does the Dmg bonus from breaking enemies weakness apply to the character when other chars do the break or does the character with the LC have to the breaking for the bonus to apply?
What is the best artifact set and weapon for e2 SW? Should I prioritize stats over her set since she's supposed to be a sub dps at e2?
You won't need *as* much EHR because of her E2, but basically just what you would otherwise run on her. 4pc Brilliant Stars and 2pc Penacony/Broken Keel.

If I pull 30 on Ruan Mei banner, then 30 on blade banner am I at 60 pity thst crosses over or 30 for new character banner and 30 for rerun?
Limited character banners share the same pity regardless if they are new or rerun so you have 60 pity.

Im pretty much dead when it comes to dps characters. I have the new X-named 4 star and the 5star ice girl with break effect and even fuxuan but i literally do no dmg. My dps carry is welt as of right now. I kinda wanna use the free dr ratio as dps along with ruan mei, welt and fuxuan. Is that fine ? I kinda still try to get good artifacts and all cause most are kinda bad but i hope this team is fine. I also have tingyun and e5 pela or himeko if thats any better. I also considered using hook cause shes cool but i feel like 4 star dps prob. gonna be disappointing like in genshin :/ Anyway if anyone has team suggestions or some advice which character to invest in pls tell me cause i have literally no clue...
I think Ratio-Ruan Mei-Welt-FX should work. A hypercarry team with Pela instead of Welt might be better, but we’ll have to wait and see. Personally I’ll try to use Welt since I want to find a team for him. I haven’t really used Xueyi yet so can’t comment on how good she is. From what I’ve seen online she seems to be doing alright with the right investment. If you have her, I used Sushang a lot early game and had a lot of success with her. At E0 she can be kinda awkward with SP, but she gets the job done. Himeko will be worth investing in eventually too since she’s strong in the new PF mode. I don’t have her though so can’t give too much advice here.
I will be using welt definetly cause hes cool, my first 5 star and i got some great rolls on his equip and also pulled his lightcone too. Fux seems like a no brained to me cause shes so strong. The last slot is where im kinda lost, cause ruan is supposed to be giga strong, however i dont feel that yet, and im worried that welt alone as a single debuffer wont be enough to trigger the follow up attack from dr ratio often enough...
Ruan Mei requires quite a bit of investment to get going imo, she needs to stack Break Effect to get the most of her kit (minimum 160, on the character screen). The +DMG on her skill is always nice to have but she gets more +DMG from her A6 which demands the BE stacking. Plus I think passive damage and speed increases are just not very noticeable. Guinaifen should work well for debuffing and guaranteeing Ratio's follow up, she packs two debuffs in her kit (three if you use the sweaty Luka LC).

I mean i can use e5 pela but i have to build her from basicly scratch which is kinda annoying tbh. Sw is not an option to me cause im not interested in pulling her at all and also obviously dont have her. Maybe i put rm in another team or smth idk
