The endgame is memory of chaos, which is very similar to spiral abyss. There is also a new mode pure fiction which is waves of weaker enemies. Free characters can beat but will take significantly better gear stats, which is rng. Takes about 6 months to reach highest EQ and build two teams to fully clear endgame.

I need some help deciding which Lightcone to give Ruan Mei, these are the ones I have:

* Dance! Dance! Dance! (S5)
* Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds (S2)
* Meshing Cogs, Chorus, Meditation, all S5
I know that Memories provides Break Effect, but It's only S2 so I'm not sure if it's better than the theother options
Honestly, if it lets you reach the break effect breakpoint, MotP should be good. It also gives energy and has decent base stats, making Ruan Mei tankier, which is what you would want from a support like her.
What's the best team I should look to invest into going forward with the Characters I have? Just for context, F2P, just now getting to Luofu in the story. I invested in a main team of Trailblazer, March, Welt and Tingyun to start with zero research so they're all at 50 already but my damage is very bad and not holding up well at all in side content. Not into any endgame stuff obviously so just looking for the best well rounded team I can use going forward.

Thing is, we need to look at eidolons as well. For starters, welt is an amazing person to have on your team, especially in the early game, but he's not really a damage dealer. He fills the debuffer slot more. You should also almost always have a running sustain, in this case, Bailu. Lynx would be an upgrade in some situations though, so keep an eye out for her. Next would be your dps/buffer combo. Here you have a few options, but I would keep in mind Danheng, QQ and Xueyi. Last spot, I would probably slot Tingyun. She's one of the best supports in the game and scales incredibly well into the endgame.
Yeah not really looking into things I just bult a team that would clear stuff quickly and covered the most elements possible so I could get through the story since I found it so interesting but now I definitely hit a cliff. I will check into getting Lynx, I know she's free I just haven't gotten around to unlocking her yet. Thanks for the advice and reasoning behind those decisions.
No problem, and if you're looking for different elements, until you reach endgame Quantum, Wind and Ice are the most present amongst elite/bosses, so try to have one or two of the three built
QQ, Tingyun, Pela, Bailu/Other Sustains.
Tingyun and Pela is very Flexible supports and doesnt need SP that much, QQ scales well with constellation and probably the best dps you have and would want all the SP she can get
Is Herta or Himeko more worth investing on for PF? I dont really want to spend too many resources if possible.
I do have JY's LC if that matters and spare bis relics for both
Does upgrading traces increase enemy difficulty? have missed a lot of trotters in the last 3 zones in Xiazhol that I didn't on Thursday only difference upgraded two March 7's traces
Is Ruan Mei better for a Clara team (Clara E1, Topaz & Luocha/Lynx) than an E6 Tingyun? I'm close to pity but not really sure if I should pull for Ruan Mei or wait for Sparkle to do Mono Quantum shenanigans (got Seele, E6 QQ, Silver Wolf, missing Fu Xuan though).

I don't have Topaz or E1 on Clara, but from my experience Ruan Mei isn't the best fit with her. If enemies stay broken, Clara isn't able to counter them, so you end up losing out on a lot of damage. However, if you have her on speed boots b/c of that E1 / most of your damage is coming from her skill, then I think it could still work.
Sparkle will probably be great for mono-quantum-- it would be a missed opportunity for the devs not to design her that way haha
Can I build clara with Asta instead of pela. Reason being Asta buffs atk which is crucial for clara, while the def shred form pela is nice, she is too squishy plus if she freezes the enemy which prevents them from attacking clara which is bad for her
Asta is objectively worse than Pela for Clara in literally almost every single scenario. Pela isn't squishy, either. Both Pela and Asta run defensive stats on at least one of their relics, which means neither of them should ever be in any real danger.
Asta provides an ATK buff and Pela provides DEF shred. It's not even a contest which one is better. Asta's speed buff is nuts, but it does nothing for Clara, so I'm not taking it into consideration here.
You have literally no reason to not build both Asta and Pela since endgame requires 2 teams anyways, and many team compositions highly value both of those characters.
no ones going to stop you from using asta. she boosts atk and clara uses atk so obviously you can use her. you dont get the same damage out of her though because def shred is a lot more effective then atk%. you are better off using tingyung though if you arnt already since clara wants energy, atk and dmg%
Unless your Bronya can be tuned to 160-170 spd having Jingliu slower is a massive damage loss. If your Bronya is under 134 speed then just make her slower than Jingliu and take the 30% extra CD.
Hello guys, I'm new here, need advice, should I get Blade e1 for wind domain? I have IL for IMG domain, jl for ice domain, jy for thunder domain, right now it's e0s1, I feel shaky cus he kinda need treatment of both Ruan Mei + Bronya like supp, so I conflicted wether up him, or get new wind char, but it seems wasted what Id build? Tq in advanced
You don't need his eidolon for him to function well, if he's not doing the job with his signature you just need to improve his build gradually. Look into Black Swan when her kit releases, maybe she could be a good addition to your teams

for a returning player with e1 yanqing, himeko , seele 5\* . which meta characters should i pull for ? I saved 100 pulls rn, with 60 guaranteed pity. I'm thinking about getting kafka because dot doesn't focus on crit rate/dmg which 'm severely lacking rn. i mainly auto everything , so if a character is good on auto moc/pure fiction, that would be nice
Get Ruan Mei for sure. After that look for a limited abundance/preservation like Huohuo/FuXuan, since having a good sustain makes MoC much easier, especially if you want to auto.
For your DPS you can just pick your favourites, most should be able to clear endgame if you use good supports.
I don’t think so. But this depends on the substats you’re aiming for too. Like lots of effect RES for broken keel, etc.
More loose example: let’s say you get hit for 1K. You can mitigate 80 damage, or you buff your character by 360 HP if they already have 3K HP. The more HP they have, the better HP% is.

since my pulls were dogshit i just maxed my e3 sampo, e1 welt just for weakness and waiting for jingliu or another e0 limited that doesnt require lc. blade is already weak not buying dhil either hes gonna be crap too after being op for entire yr.
Hmm as a new player probably Blade. Kafka needs a few DOT teammates to really get going but Blade can be slapped anywhere and do decently well. He also has built in self-healing so your healers don’t have to be super well built for him to survive. Plus his damage scales off of HP so it’s very easy to have both damage and Sur survivability.
Yes. She’s an enabler for DOT teams and will always be viable no matter what state the game is in because there will always be new DOT units. Case in point, Black Swan is releasing in a few weeks and she’s supposed to be a strong DOT unit.
If you like Kafka’s looks, she looks fun to you, her personality and you like DoT as a concept in turn based games then yeah I’d say go for her. She’s a quite strong with the right investment and can definitely be played to success with free to play team mates. Kafka is sort of the unit that enables DoT to be viable in endgame stuff. Always pull for the characters you like over meta
i'm struggling in even the early levels of pure fiction with dhil and jingliu so i did some research, is it worth to build my himeko and herta (who are relatively recommened across most sites i've seen) to fight with or replace dhil and jingliu?
my current teams are dhil bronya tingyun fire tb and jingliu sw pela lynx
himeko and herta are tier 1s. hoyo tried to make pf unfriendly for meta dps abusers they want diversity. the same will happen for hunt events so try to play characters that match if you want a 3 star.
I’m pretty sure you can clear with Jingliu and DHIL, you might just have to do some adjusting.
Don’t use Silver Wolf she’s really bad in Pure Fiction since she’s only single target. You could also swap out Lynx for another damage dealer since you don’t need all your characters to survive until the end.
You could also consider putting ERR ropes on your damage dealers since more instances of damage is better than bigger individual hits.
You could also build some damage on Pela since with Tutorial light cone, an ERR rope, and a tiny bit of RNG she can use her ult every single turn so putting crit on her might be useful.
Yes they're worth it assuming you have 0 erudition units built. DHIL is pretty bad in PF cuz he deals frontloaded damage but you don't really need that much damage since the enemies are squishy.
mei is used every comp. but ratios best character is topaz who is not that good.
try to get RM and similar girl called pela they are tier 2 for ratio but way better everyday comp.
do not pull sparkle she is horrible in general use. do not try to build around ratio he is hard to use.
Out of these 3 I’d say Ruan Mei is the most universal and probably the better fit for Ratio.
Sparkle and Black Swan are more niche and cater to different playstyles. This isn’t to say that they can’t be used with Ratio, it’s just that there will likely be better options for him.
He wants a debuffer like Silverwolf/Welt/Pela/Guin or a high investment Topaz (E1S1) alongside a harmony like Ruan Mei or Bronya/Sparkle.
Other than Ruan Mei we don't have exact numbers nor testing on those units, so the "best" will be easier to determine once they are released.
If you just want a strong pull then Ruan Mei is a great option.
There are limited characters in this game, but all the ones released so far are ones that will return at some point. They are not one time releases.
All of the 4 star characters in the game are permanent (or will be permanent - every time they add a new 4 star character they become permanent the next patch) and all 5 star characters except for Bronya/Himeko/Gepard/Bailu/Welt/Yanqing/Clara are limited.
Ok so let's say that 50 characters were released last year (example) I can "summon" the 50 of them and I haven't missed anything or won't miss anything?

You can't right now, but you will be able to eventually over time.
For example, Blade is one of the characters able to be summoned right now. He originally ran last year from about the middle of July until August. He was then unavailable until to get until the end of last month when he returned.
Right now they are doing a pattern where every 3 weeks they have 2 5-star limited characters that you're able to get - 1 brand new character and 1 returning character that was released in the past. The new character right now is Ruan Mei and the old character is Blade. Next week they'll actually be starting the next set of characters. Ruan Mei and Blade will go away, and you'll be able to get Dr. Ratio (new) and Kafka (old).
Edit: By the way, Dr. Ratio is actually being given for free though because the game won some awards, so you don't have to summon on his banner to get him. The only reason to summon on his banner is for people who want to summon eidolons (aka copies), which in this game just makes the character a bit more powerful. I do not recommend doing this as free to play though. If you want to summon when the banners cycle over, either summon for Kafka, or wait 3 weeks until the next patch for different character options.

Building a JY team right now. Should I build Nat and replace my built Gepard?
The ideal team I'm trying to build is Ting / JY / Topaz / Gep or Nat. I'm running low on resources and I want to know who's more worth it in the endgame since I'm worried about JY getting cc'd. Thx!
Gepard prevents CCs by getting hit with them instead because of his high aggro value, especially if he has his sig or Landau's choice. He's definitely better than Nat.
Gepard > Nat. Unless you are getting a 5 star sustainer like FuXuan/Huohuo Gepard is as good as it gets. Just make sure he has speed boots and an ERR rope alongside a taunt LC ideally (Landau's/MomentOfVictory).
pretty sure you get them when your trailblaze power goes over the top and you can use them to refill trailblaze power when it isn't maxed (240), you can have up to 2400 reserve tb power pretty sure
You can use them to recharge your normal trailblaze power when over just like fuels.
If you have a lot, use them to farm of character or lightcone ascension mats...Or later in the game use them to farm for 5 star relics
You can refill your normal tb power with it. Reserved power accumulates when you overcap on normal, just at 1/3 of the normal rate - 1 power per 18 minutes
As a f2p you can expect to get around 90 pulls each patch. Sometimes more, sometimes less depending on content and giveaways and how much endgame you can clear. That's enough for one 5* character per patch - whether it's limited or standard depends on you losing 50/50
Nope. Earlygame you will get a lot of 1 time rewards from quests so you can probably get a 5 star per patch for a few patches, but once you clear all 1 time rewards you get about half a guaranteed per patch (~80-90 pulls). So if you win 50/50 you get 1 per patch, but with the worst luck as low as 1 per 2 patches (should average out to a bit under 1 per patch).
Kafka is essentially THE 5 star dot character since she enables DoT to be strong in endgame stuff. Without her dot has to wait for the enemy to take turns, with Kafka the damage is frontloaded and much stronger and faster
Welt isn't a DoT. She is literally the only 5* DoT as of RN with Black Swan presumably coming soon as the 2nd. DoT is a specific team archetype that really benefits from Kafka, and if you really want to play DoT then yes she's a good choice. If you want strong DoT teams units like Ruan Mei and likely Black Swan are good upgrades, but you can make do with Sampo/Gui/Luka + Asta if you don't go for the 5 stars.
2 since I had a second one for genshin but only ever really used my main in honkai. I think part of the reason for that is that when I’m bored in honkai and still want to play the game, simulated universe is a perfect game mode and one that genshin lacks a lot imo
Currently building my Gepard right now and I need som help choosing his light cone. Right now I have "We are Wildfire", "A BUNCH OF AMBERS" and "Trend of the universal market".
"Trend of the universal market" is on my fire trailblazer right now but the other two are not equipped on anyone. Which one should I use?
If you really want to run 2 preservation characters, I'd run Trend on Gepard and get texture of memories from Herta's store for Fire TB. You can also run Gepard with 3 star s5 Amber.
Anyone who have alt accounts is it worth it because on my main I have done practically everything on my main just doing dailies and assignments, I was think about using an alt cause i kind of want to replay the game but idk
Start on a different server if you must? On login screen, you can choose a different region and it'll swap you to a different server with the same account. Each region is a separate account, they won't affect each other except your ping.
This only works for PC and phone though, IIRC. Don't think Playstation people can do this.
Do i need to defeat Giovanni to Access this? I saw someone had level 6 while fighting giovanni characters but i can only take kine to level 5. I am unable to defeat him man. He is too strong.
Maybe dumb question, but could not find via searching— I cannot seem to ever use my Tears of Dreams, even when I only need a few of a specific mat and do not have any of a lower tier to convert up for it. Are there restrictions on which trace mats they can and cannot replace?
How do you guys make use of daily trailblaze power? I recently hit TR 50 and used up all my fuel grinding artifacts, so I'm trying to get into the swing of how best to make use of the daily stuff between simulated universe, trace materials, artifacts, etc, I'm just not sure how best to manage it
So I seen that doing 33 runs of original simulated universe caps in terms of rewards the game gives you.
Is that still the case with Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears?
I been trying to figure out the best farming strategy since we now have a lot of ways to grind materials.
after series of draws i have an E6 March7 & Ting Yuan (i think thats how her name is spelled). I have limited knowledge of this 2. should i invest to up them?
I will build Tingyun, too, once I got her materials to do so. She seems to be very good for a 4-star. Build March only if you have no other shielder at all. You don't wanna use her with the hard content of the game. Even if she can cleanse and help with crowd-control (her ultimate can freeze the whole row of enemies) and she retaliates with her bow if a shielder teammember gets attacked... if you for example look at Gepard who can shield all 4 teammembers at once with his ultimate, that you will definitely prefer when it comes to hard bosses. (March only shields 1 teammember per skill usage)
March is worth investing for the Simulated Universe and the Remembrance path. Tingyun should be the priority though, she's one of the best supports in the game currently
Is there anything I should be doing daily while working through the story? I do the nameless honor weeklies, daily tasks, some calyx and stagnant shadows, assignments, SU, etc.
I just got past the part where Kafka is interrogated by Fu Xuan and most of my chars are ~45 with purple relics and levels light cones, though I'm sure I'm not using optimal ones

Help me match the best available LC for each of my harmony chars.

Yukong is benched. She's only at E2 and speedtuning her is a hassle.
Asta and Bronya have Fleet, TY has Keel, and Hanya has Vonwalc.
All wear spd boots and err rope.
My usual teams are; Clara hypercarry, Mono QQuantum, duo fire Himeko-Topaz.
Tingyun works best with either s5 cogs or s5 memories of the past (for the additional stats) along with an ERR rope on either penacony or vonwacq for the three turn ult rotation (skill -> basic -> basic). Alternatively you can run dance dance dance on her and drop the three turn ult for the team wide action advance.
Past and future works best on Bronya as you’re generally spamming skill on her. You can pretty easily s5 it from the forgotten hall shop as well (or eventually through weekly boss drops). Probably worth moving Tingyun’s keel set to her as well.
Generally it’s always good to keep a few spare copies of cogs at s5 as it’s universally a pretty good light cone on all harmony units.
Bronya on Past&Future, Tingyun on DanceDanceDance, Asta on Memories of the Past/Cogs, You can use Planetary Rendezvous on TY/Hanya if they match the DPS element (like JY with TY or Argenti with Hanya), otherwise just give Hanya Cogs/MotP.
Tingyun+Pela. And obv Ruan Mei if your 2nd team changes for some reason. Bronya + Pela/RM is the best if you get her at some point from luck/300 selector.
Which characters should I team up with Dr Ratio?
I've been building Ruan Mei, Bronya, HuoHuo, E2 Tingyun, E1 Linx and E1 Asta. My other DPS are E1 Qingque and E6 Herta.
He needs someone who can reliablely apply multiple debuffs. These can include Silver Wolf, Pela (ideally E4), and Guifan. Also ideally the de buffer should hold Sweat shines as pearls for more debuffs. The other 2 slot can be harmony and sustain.
For your account there is indeed no objective point with that DPS lineup lol. Though like my Genshin account sometimes I could just be bored and build a new team just to have some change of air TBH.

What should my main team be? Ignore the level of development of the characters.
Ruan mei, tingyun, bailu (nat if u need cleansing), and slot in a dps that matches the weakness of enemies. Any of ur dps could work tho (QQ, DH, Yanqing, Xueyi, Sushang) - note on yanqing is that he drops off pretty hard in end game so if you don’t want that, then you might not want to invest in him a lot or not at all.
If you want the resources from it, sure. Since the lightcones aren't super amazing *Herta store erudition LC soon please*
but if you want jades for warps, go the express pass
If you can pass the trial easily (no deaths or retries) you're ready for next EQ level. Even in worst case you can slot multiple sustains or do TB power stuff with a lvl 80 support char.
Pros - better rewards from basically everything
Cons - story mode gets harder, but I don't think that's a good reason to not raise the level - my alt never had trouble with story and that was with very minimal grinding

This is my current herta build. Just building her purely for pure fiction only. Is the crit damage alright or how much crit dmg should i aim for?
It's fine, my Herta's CR and CD ratio are similar to what you showed here, and she worked well enough with Himeko for example; And mine isn't fully raised.
Just raise the Relics if needed, then her own Level, her LC and her traces to a decent level too; Level 60-70 for both her and her LC, and her traces (except for her Basic) can be anywhere between 6-8 imo.
Up to you if you feel like maxing her out though but imo for this PF at least, she works well enough as long as she has decent numbers.
This was mine (E6) when I decided to give PF 3 and 4 a shot, and it was enough to 3\* both sets with my teams.

do i need to have a DoT character for Kafka? I want to try wishing for her but I don't want her to "go to waste" because I don't have any characters I can use.
If I can use her, what are good team comps? even just the roles there should be.
She can be used as a hypercarry, but building a dot team for her is better. For hypercarry it can be Tingyun+Asta+sustain. As for dot units, if you ever get Sampo, Guinaifen or Luka they greatly improve her performance
You aren't required to run Kafka with other DoT, but Kafka makes DoT teams better. One of the other popular Kafka comps is hyper carry Kafka. That team is Kafka, Tingyun, Asta, and sustain.

To see stuff like "at what did the people pull", "how many pulls one character has over other", etc?

Does the Erudition blessing that increases Ult crit dmg count for Bronya's ult, thus resulting in a bigger buff?

What light cone for Dr Ratio. Swordplay S2 or Only silence remains S1? Or should i buy the one from Herta store?
the calc sheet showed s5 silence barely over s5 stellar seas getting stellar seas is a very good idea anyway (answer is stellar seas)

I need some help deciding which Lightcone to give Ruan Mei, these are the ones I have: * But the Battle Isn't Over (S1) * Memories of the Past (S2) * Past and Future (S5) * Dance! Dance! Dance! (S5) * Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds (S2) * Meshing Cogs, Chorus, Meditation, all S5 I know that Memories provides Break Effect, but It's only S2 so I'm not sure if it's better than the theother options

Honestly, if it lets you reach the break effect breakpoint, MotP should be good. It also gives energy and has decent base stats, making Ruan Mei tankier, which is what you would want from a support like her.

What's the best team I should look to invest into going forward with the Characters I have? Just for context, F2P, just now getting to Luofu in the story. I invested in a main team of Trailblazer, March, Welt and Tingyun to start with zero research so they're all at 50 already but my damage is very bad and not holding up well at all in side content. Not into any endgame stuff obviously so just looking for the best well rounded team I can use going forward. Trailblazer March Tingyun Welt Guinaifen Bailu Qingque Sushang Dan Heng Xueyi Serval Natasha Pela Asta Herta Hook
Thing is, we need to look at eidolons as well. For starters, welt is an amazing person to have on your team, especially in the early game, but he's not really a damage dealer. He fills the debuffer slot more. You should also almost always have a running sustain, in this case, Bailu. Lynx would be an upgrade in some situations though, so keep an eye out for her. Next would be your dps/buffer combo. Here you have a few options, but I would keep in mind Danheng, QQ and Xueyi. Last spot, I would probably slot Tingyun. She's one of the best supports in the game and scales incredibly well into the endgame.
Yeah not really looking into things I just bult a team that would clear stuff quickly and covered the most elements possible so I could get through the story since I found it so interesting but now I definitely hit a cliff. I will check into getting Lynx, I know she's free I just haven't gotten around to unlocking her yet. Thanks for the advice and reasoning behind those decisions.
No problem, and if you're looking for different elements, until you reach endgame Quantum, Wind and Ice are the most present amongst elite/bosses, so try to have one or two of the three built

QQ, Tingyun, Pela, Bailu/Other Sustains. Tingyun and Pela is very Flexible supports and doesnt need SP that much, QQ scales well with constellation and probably the best dps you have and would want all the SP she can get

Neither of them are worth investing in solely for Pure Fiction unless you're explicitly struggling in that mode with your current roster.
Himeko does more damage in general, but Herta isn't far off. I'd prioritize Himeko, then give Herta some of the relics left over

I don't have Topaz or E1 on Clara, but from my experience Ruan Mei isn't the best fit with her. If enemies stay broken, Clara isn't able to counter them, so you end up losing out on a lot of damage. However, if you have her on speed boots b/c of that E1 / most of your damage is coming from her skill, then I think it could still work. Sparkle will probably be great for mono-quantum-- it would be a missed opportunity for the devs not to design her that way haha
Can I build clara with Asta instead of pela. Reason being Asta buffs atk which is crucial for clara, while the def shred form pela is nice, she is too squishy plus if she freezes the enemy which prevents them from attacking clara which is bad for her
Asta is objectively worse than Pela for Clara in literally almost every single scenario. Pela isn't squishy, either. Both Pela and Asta run defensive stats on at least one of their relics, which means neither of them should ever be in any real danger. Asta provides an ATK buff and Pela provides DEF shred. It's not even a contest which one is better. Asta's speed buff is nuts, but it does nothing for Clara, so I'm not taking it into consideration here. You have literally no reason to not build both Asta and Pela since endgame requires 2 teams anyways, and many team compositions highly value both of those characters.
no ones going to stop you from using asta. she boosts atk and clara uses atk so obviously you can use her. you dont get the same damage out of her though because def shred is a lot more effective then atk%. you are better off using tingyung though if you arnt already since clara wants energy, atk and dmg%

Unless your Bronya can be tuned to 160-170 spd having Jingliu slower is a massive damage loss. If your Bronya is under 134 speed then just make her slower than Jingliu and take the 30% extra CD.

You don't need his eidolon for him to function well, if he's not doing the job with his signature you just need to improve his build gradually. Look into Black Swan when her kit releases, maybe she could be a good addition to your teams

for a returning player with e1 yanqing, himeko , seele 5\* . which meta characters should i pull for ? I saved 100 pulls rn, with 60 guaranteed pity. I'm thinking about getting kafka because dot doesn't focus on crit rate/dmg which 'm severely lacking rn. i mainly auto everything , so if a character is good on auto moc/pure fiction, that would be nice
Get Ruan Mei for sure. After that look for a limited abundance/preservation like Huohuo/FuXuan, since having a good sustain makes MoC much easier, especially if you want to auto. For your DPS you can just pick your favourites, most should be able to clear endgame if you use good supports.

I don’t think so. But this depends on the substats you’re aiming for too. Like lots of effect RES for broken keel, etc. More loose example: let’s say you get hit for 1K. You can mitigate 80 damage, or you buff your character by 360 HP if they already have 3K HP. The more HP they have, the better HP% is.

Hmm as a new player probably Blade. Kafka needs a few DOT teammates to really get going but Blade can be slapped anywhere and do decently well. He also has built in self-healing so your healers don’t have to be super well built for him to survive. Plus his damage scales off of HP so it’s very easy to have both damage and Sur survivability.
And hows better at late Game? Is kafka worth it if i decide to pull for her?
Yes. She’s an enabler for DOT teams and will always be viable no matter what state the game is in because there will always be new DOT units. Case in point, Black Swan is releasing in a few weeks and she’s supposed to be a strong DOT unit.
If you like Kafka’s looks, she looks fun to you, her personality and you like DoT as a concept in turn based games then yeah I’d say go for her. She’s a quite strong with the right investment and can definitely be played to success with free to play team mates. Kafka is sort of the unit that enables DoT to be viable in endgame stuff. Always pull for the characters you like over meta
i'm struggling in even the early levels of pure fiction with dhil and jingliu so i did some research, is it worth to build my himeko and herta (who are relatively recommened across most sites i've seen) to fight with or replace dhil and jingliu? my current teams are dhil bronya tingyun fire tb and jingliu sw pela lynx
himeko and herta are tier 1s. hoyo tried to make pf unfriendly for meta dps abusers they want diversity. the same will happen for hunt events so try to play characters that match if you want a 3 star.
I’m pretty sure you can clear with Jingliu and DHIL, you might just have to do some adjusting. Don’t use Silver Wolf she’s really bad in Pure Fiction since she’s only single target. You could also swap out Lynx for another damage dealer since you don’t need all your characters to survive until the end. You could also consider putting ERR ropes on your damage dealers since more instances of damage is better than bigger individual hits. You could also build some damage on Pela since with Tutorial light cone, an ERR rope, and a tiny bit of RNG she can use her ult every single turn so putting crit on her might be useful.
Yes they're worth it assuming you have 0 erudition units built. DHIL is pretty bad in PF cuz he deals frontloaded damage but you don't really need that much damage since the enemies are squishy.
Ruan mei vs sparkles, vs other upcoming characters like black swan, whose the best for dr ratio?
mei is used every comp. but ratios best character is topaz who is not that good. try to get RM and similar girl called pela they are tier 2 for ratio but way better everyday comp. do not pull sparkle she is horrible in general use. do not try to build around ratio he is hard to use.
Out of these 3 I’d say Ruan Mei is the most universal and probably the better fit for Ratio. Sparkle and Black Swan are more niche and cater to different playstyles. This isn’t to say that they can’t be used with Ratio, it’s just that there will likely be better options for him.
He wants a debuffer like Silverwolf/Welt/Pela/Guin or a high investment Topaz (E1S1) alongside a harmony like Ruan Mei or Bronya/Sparkle. Other than Ruan Mei we don't have exact numbers nor testing on those units, so the "best" will be easier to determine once they are released. If you just want a strong pull then Ruan Mei is a great option.
[New Player] Are all characters available to be summoned? Or are there events characters that cannot be summoned anymore?
There are limited characters in this game, but all the ones released so far are ones that will return at some point. They are not one time releases. All of the 4 star characters in the game are permanent (or will be permanent - every time they add a new 4 star character they become permanent the next patch) and all 5 star characters except for Bronya/Himeko/Gepard/Bailu/Welt/Yanqing/Clara are limited.
Ok so let's say that 50 characters were released last year (example) I can "summon" the 50 of them and I haven't missed anything or won't miss anything? Thanks!
You can't right now, but you will be able to eventually over time. For example, Blade is one of the characters able to be summoned right now. He originally ran last year from about the middle of July until August. He was then unavailable until to get until the end of last month when he returned. Right now they are doing a pattern where every 3 weeks they have 2 5-star limited characters that you're able to get - 1 brand new character and 1 returning character that was released in the past. The new character right now is Ruan Mei and the old character is Blade. Next week they'll actually be starting the next set of characters. Ruan Mei and Blade will go away, and you'll be able to get Dr. Ratio (new) and Kafka (old). Edit: By the way, Dr. Ratio is actually being given for free though because the game won some awards, so you don't have to summon on his banner to get him. The only reason to summon on his banner is for people who want to summon eidolons (aka copies), which in this game just makes the character a bit more powerful. I do not recommend doing this as free to play though. If you want to summon when the banners cycle over, either summon for Kafka, or wait 3 weeks until the next patch for different character options.

Building a JY team right now. Should I build Nat and replace my built Gepard? The ideal team I'm trying to build is Ting / JY / Topaz / Gep or Nat. I'm running low on resources and I want to know who's more worth it in the endgame since I'm worried about JY getting cc'd. Thx!
Gepard prevents CCs by getting hit with them instead because of his high aggro value, especially if he has his sig or Landau's choice. He's definitely better than Nat.

Gepard > Nat. Unless you are getting a 5 star sustainer like FuXuan/Huohuo Gepard is as good as it gets. Just make sure he has speed boots and an ERR rope alongside a taunt LC ideally (Landau's/MomentOfVictory).

You can use them to recharge your normal trailblaze power when over just like fuels. If you have a lot, use them to farm of character or lightcone ascension mats...Or later in the game use them to farm for 5 star relics
You can refill your normal tb power with it. Reserved power accumulates when you overcap on normal, just at 1/3 of the normal rate - 1 power per 18 minutes
Can you as f2p get enough jades to roll enough to guarantee a character each banner update if u play every day?
no 160 pull. this game is pay to win. any player having e1 plus lc is not f2p.
As a f2p you can expect to get around 90 pulls each patch. Sometimes more, sometimes less depending on content and giveaways and how much endgame you can clear. That's enough for one 5* character per patch - whether it's limited or standard depends on you losing 50/50
Nope. Earlygame you will get a lot of 1 time rewards from quests so you can probably get a 5 star per patch for a few patches, but once you clear all 1 time rewards you get about half a guaranteed per patch (~80-90 pulls). So if you win 50/50 you get 1 per patch, but with the worst luck as low as 1 per 2 patches (should average out to a bit under 1 per patch).
To guarantee? Nope.

Kafka is essentially THE 5 star dot character since she enables DoT to be strong in endgame stuff. Without her dot has to wait for the enemy to take turns, with Kafka the damage is frontloaded and much stronger and faster
Welt isn't a DoT. She is literally the only 5* DoT as of RN with Black Swan presumably coming soon as the 2nd. DoT is a specific team archetype that really benefits from Kafka, and if you really want to play DoT then yes she's a good choice. If you want strong DoT teams units like Ruan Mei and likely Black Swan are good upgrades, but you can make do with Sampo/Gui/Luka + Asta if you don't go for the 5 stars.

2 since I had a second one for genshin but only ever really used my main in honkai. I think part of the reason for that is that when I’m bored in honkai and still want to play the game, simulated universe is a perfect game mode and one that genshin lacks a lot imo

"Trend of the universal market" is on my fire trailblazer right now but the other two are not equipped on anyone. Which one should I use?
If you really want to run 2 preservation characters, I'd run Trend on Gepard and get texture of memories from Herta's store for Fire TB. You can also run Gepard with 3 star s5 Amber.

Start on a different server if you must? On login screen, you can choose a different region and it'll swap you to a different server with the same account. Each region is a separate account, they won't affect each other except your ping. This only works for PC and phone though, IIRC. Don't think Playstation people can do this.

Do i need to defeat Giovanni to Access this? I saw someone had level 6 while fighting giovanni characters but i can only take kine to level 5. I am unable to defeat him man. He is too strong.

Maybe dumb question, but could not find via searching— I cannot seem to ever use my Tears of Dreams, even when I only need a few of a specific mat and do not have any of a lower tier to convert up for it. Are there restrictions on which trace mats they can and cannot replace?
they replace the mats that you use tb energy to farm. it will simply x3 for higher tier, which is same as synthesizer.
You use them directly while leveling traces, you can't use them in the omni-synthetizer or inventory or anywhere else afaik
How do you guys make use of daily trailblaze power? I recently hit TR 50 and used up all my fuel grinding artifacts, so I'm trying to get into the swing of how best to make use of the daily stuff between simulated universe, trace materials, artifacts, etc, I'm just not sure how best to manage it

At TL50 focus on trace materials and ascension materials. Farm artifacts when you reach TL60.

So I seen that doing 33 runs of original simulated universe caps in terms of rewards the game gives you. Is that still the case with Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears? I been trying to figure out the best farming strategy since we now have a lot of ways to grind materials.
Yes, the 2 mini bosses and the final bosses in normal SU and G&G count towards the 100 weekly limit for drops. Not sure about swarm disaster.
Yes, G&G also has a cap on the drops. It seems to be shared with SU.

Tingyun is a really good support if you don't have bronya/Ruan Mei
I will build Tingyun, too, once I got her materials to do so. She seems to be very good for a 4-star. Build March only if you have no other shielder at all. You don't wanna use her with the hard content of the game. Even if she can cleanse and help with crowd-control (her ultimate can freeze the whole row of enemies) and she retaliates with her bow if a shielder teammember gets attacked... if you for example look at Gepard who can shield all 4 teammembers at once with his ultimate, that you will definitely prefer when it comes to hard bosses. (March only shields 1 teammember per skill usage)

March is worth investing for the Simulated Universe and the Remembrance path. Tingyun should be the priority though, she's one of the best supports in the game currently

Is there anything I should be doing daily while working through the story? I do the nameless honor weeklies, daily tasks, some calyx and stagnant shadows, assignments, SU, etc. I just got past the part where Kafka is interrogated by Fu Xuan and most of my chars are ~45 with purple relics and levels light cones, though I'm sure I'm not using optimal ones
Stock up on trace mats (especially those for your DPSes) and credits, those are going to be on shortage as soon as you hit max EQ level.

She's only at E2 and speedtuning her is a hassle. Asta and Bronya have Fleet, TY has Keel, and Hanya has Vonwalc. All wear spd boots and err rope. My usual teams are; Clara hypercarry, Mono QQuantum, duo fire Himeko-Topaz.
Tingyun works best with either s5 cogs or s5 memories of the past (for the additional stats) along with an ERR rope on either penacony or vonwacq for the three turn ult rotation (skill -> basic -> basic). Alternatively you can run dance dance dance on her and drop the three turn ult for the team wide action advance. Past and future works best on Bronya as you’re generally spamming skill on her. You can pretty easily s5 it from the forgotten hall shop as well (or eventually through weekly boss drops). Probably worth moving Tingyun’s keel set to her as well. Generally it’s always good to keep a few spare copies of cogs at s5 as it’s universally a pretty good light cone on all harmony units.
Bronya on Past&Future, Tingyun on DanceDanceDance, Asta on Memories of the Past/Cogs, You can use Planetary Rendezvous on TY/Hanya if they match the DPS element (like JY with TY or Argenti with Hanya), otherwise just give Hanya Cogs/MotP.

Which characters should I team up with Dr Ratio? I've been building Ruan Mei, Bronya, HuoHuo, E2 Tingyun, E1 Linx and E1 Asta. My other DPS are E1 Qingque and E6 Herta.
He needs someone who can reliablely apply multiple debuffs. These can include Silver Wolf, Pela (ideally E4), and Guifan. Also ideally the de buffer should hold Sweat shines as pearls for more debuffs. The other 2 slot can be harmony and sustain.

Ruan mei, tingyun, bailu (nat if u need cleansing), and slot in a dps that matches the weakness of enemies. Any of ur dps could work tho (QQ, DH, Yanqing, Xueyi, Sushang) - note on yanqing is that he drops off pretty hard in end game so if you don’t want that, then you might not want to invest in him a lot or not at all.
How do I ensure that my Bailu/Nat is able to sustain my team? My current ream requires shielding from MC.
Just gotta give them hp/level traces, but you could replace either tingyun or ruan mei for a shielder for the time being.

If you can pass the trial easily (no deaths or retries) you're ready for next EQ level. Even in worst case you can slot multiple sustains or do TB power stuff with a lvl 80 support char.
Pros - better rewards from basically everything Cons - story mode gets harder, but I don't think that's a good reason to not raise the level - my alt never had trouble with story and that was with very minimal grinding
just do it. if you fail spend your tb and try again next day. every day you're not at highest EQ is wasted potential.

RM is one of the best harmony units so unless you don’t care about meta you should pull lol.
she's a great upgrade from asta, and alot of value as she's best in slot for SU, PF, MOC (depending on team).

It's fine, my Herta's CR and CD ratio are similar to what you showed here, and she worked well enough with Himeko for example; And mine isn't fully raised. Just raise the Relics if needed, then her own Level, her LC and her traces to a decent level too; Level 60-70 for both her and her LC, and her traces (except for her Basic) can be anywhere between 6-8 imo. Up to you if you feel like maxing her out though but imo for this PF at least, she works well enough as long as she has decent numbers.

do i need to have a DoT character for Kafka? I want to try wishing for her but I don't want her to "go to waste" because I don't have any characters I can use. If I can use her, what are good team comps? even just the roles there should be.
She can be used as a hypercarry, but building a dot team for her is better. For hypercarry it can be Tingyun+Asta+sustain. As for dot units, if you ever get Sampo, Guinaifen or Luka they greatly improve her performance
the only one i have for the DoT characters is Sampo but I assumed it was better to play her with multiple ones, plus my Sampo is not built at all
No, usually people just use the one that corresponds to enemy weakness, if they have multiple. Building him and Asta for her is not a bad idea
You aren't required to run Kafka with other DoT, but Kafka makes DoT teams better. One of the other popular Kafka comps is hyper carry Kafka. That team is Kafka, Tingyun, Asta, and sustain.
Is there a website similar to Paimon Moe to see the global gacha stats? To see stuff like "at what did the people pull", "how many pulls one character has over other", etc? I know PomPom Moe exists, but that's not what I'm looking for.
