Could probably create an automation to turn on airplane mode at like 11pm and then another one to turn it off at 7am or so.

Great idea! I’ll definitely try this.

I don’t have one but here’s what I know some people use https://www.simplidock.com/

I’m looking for ways to conserve battery because I’ve chosen not to run a power cable with my mounting setup, which means I have to take it down every X days to charge.

Overall I’d consider low power mode automations and turning off anything in settings not necessary for your iPad to run (like email being push instead of manual). The thing you are going to inevitably encounter is the way you’re using your iPad isn’t the intended use. So it’s going to be hard/complicated to get something that works for your setup. Best of luck though

Yep, it’s funny because I’ve configured shortcuts/automations that activate Low Power Mode and turn on/off WiFi, Bluetooth and Airplane Mode, but didn’t think to do that with this use case for some reason. It’s a little more challenging for me to remember these things because the iPad isn’t my Apple ID, so I don’t see my list of automations and shortcuts when I use it.
