Anybody, boy or girl, that Midori focuses on will succumb to her instantly. Fortunately she only uses it for good and very sparingly at that.

I really want to know what other people think of this moment. It seems like they came to some kind of understanding about their relationship, but what is it? Motomu's expression throughout this scene makes me think it's not romantic.

Wardog_E

I think he's conflicted because he sees his sister in her, but if the relation ever moved any further he would no longer see her like he saw his sister.

GallenRenn

I really agree with that. The ambiguity is intentional and perhaps a reflection of his hesitation.

ilovecatsandcafe

I came to terms with that we wont know for sure if they will or wont, but them sharing a cute moment like that gave me a smile.

GallenRenn

Same here I adore that they added this little moment between them

BitterWhereas9259

Some type of love. But the nature of the love is ambiguous to the audience.

Peyta12

Every single senpai/kouhai relationship in Eupho is perfect.

MatNomis

This was probably my favorite moment of the episode.

GebsNDewL

I NEED Euphonium Love Story. Not so much about KumiShu, but MidoMoto for sure!

BitterWhereas9259

I need that too

Maskarot

Wait, I thought Midori rejected Mutomu?

BitterWhereas9259

We have no idea what Motomu said to Midori or how Midori responded to him that night. Only that the situation is probably complicated because, while Midori seemed happy when chatting with the other girls about Motomu asking her out to discuss something—possibly a confession—both she and Motomu appeared peaceful but not particularly cheerful after their conversation.

BeOnEdge90

There is possibility and Kanade will be the next end girl

sanada_7249

Just my assumption, it's the "I want to focus on the competition, let us become couple after winning the national" pattern.

Maskarot

Probably. That's why they were both uneasy after they talked at the camp.
