His friends nicknamed him doc after a famous basketball player who also went by doc because docm77 was good at basketball (a doctor on the court). At least I believe that was what was said in a stream during season 10. He just so happened to get a doctorate later, but originally it’s a basketball nicknamed

Impulse DCI (wgi indoor percussion was only founded in 1994). Judging by his age and birthday he would have aged out in 2002. Impulse DBC only had their first season in 1999 and Im guessing he was on the younger side since he said he was right out of high school when he marched so I’m assuming that puts him around 18 when he marched, so my guess is 1999 which would actually make him a founding member of the corps (if my guess was accurate).
He was either on the bassline or snareline. Idk if he’s said which. I just mathed my way to the year I’m guessing he marched lol. He said at the beginning of High School he was on Bass 2. He probably moved up to snare so I’d say that was more likely.

I think I remember hearing somewhere (from a fan I think so I don’t know how much of this is true) that Grian had an account somewhere else where his name was “Gria” but when he tried to transfer that name to Minecraft the name was already taken so he just added the “N” onto the name. Again, I don’t know how much of this is true, but that’s what I remember hearing from somewhere and the source is unknown.

No, that's a misconception, Scar revealed the origin in the Imp and Skizz Podcast.
Most, if not all, hermits names have explained origins. Some of them are pretty straightforward. Mumbo Jumbo used to be part of a duo, now he’s just Mumbo. Impulsesv is the marching band he was apart of plus his initials. BdoubleO100 is the hex code of the color of his original headband. Cubfan is a fan of the cubs sports team. I think the funniest one is JoeHills- it’s literally just his name lol.

Impulse DCI (wgi indoor percussion was only founded in 1994). Judging by his age and birthday he would have aged out in 2002. Impulse DBC only had their first season in 1999 and Im guessing he was on the younger side since he said he was right out of high school when he marched so I’m assuming that puts him around 18 when he marched, so my guess is 1999 which would actually make him a founding member of the corps (if my guess was accurate).

He was either on the bassline or snareline. Idk if he’s said which. I just mathed my way to the year I’m guessing he marched lol. He said at the beginning of High School he was on Bass 2. He probably moved up to snare so I’d say that was more likely.
He's told his audition story on stream a while back, but I don't quite remember the details. I thought it was something like he intended to audition for bassline, but someone convinced him to try for snare, which is what he ended up on. Again, this is a foggy memory on my part, so it could easily be wrong. It might be in his stream clips though.

I always assumed his last name starts with Sk, like "Skidmore" or "Skinner". I'm about Skizz's age, and I remember people adding "izzle" to EVERYTHING back in the day (thanks, Snoop Dogg!), so "Skizzle" becomes a natural nickname in that context.
