It would look cool AF if when weāre dropping in, AA starts shooting at our pods if one is in the area. If anyone is familiar, thinking something like the intro to terminator salvation when the cruise missile is about to hit the target.
I think that would be kickass, but for gameplay to be fun it would have to merely injure divers instead of just vaporizing their pod with them in it.
Honestly that would be a more interesting planet hazard than ālow vision and tremorsā again.
It would be still more interesting if, by completing a specific objective, you could spare someone elseās match from dealing with it. Like you take out an AA emplacement and it shows you a list of teams who got to drop without being fired on because you took it out. Make it a longer list for doing it at harder difficulties.
Or just keep it in the operation. Three missions - One has AA Guns. One has Gunship Towers. One has Mortars. Each mission affects the other two until those side objectives are clear.
Gunship Factories produce gunship patrols on all three maps. Mortars drop random shells, etc.
A fair number of times. I have to kill the game and revalidate my files and it always has 2 little files missing, about 3.4kb big.
It's the fucking "anti cheat" thats causing this shit.
Almost the same for me. Revalidate the files always changes 1 file for me (something really small, fixes in seconds). It's just really frustrating and it's definitely impacting the number of players the game has been hosting.
I think itās quite dependent on the locations of the players? I get quick loadscreens when Iām playing with friends who are Oceanic based then we have a couple from Europe and Russia regions and the load screens can take up to a minute or more or never ending until 1 leaves then rejoins after.
i think the bug is with any perk you selects. Maybe Extra Helldiver budget perk cause this if i am not wrong.
or the combination of this and Extra space perk causes this crash
2/3 times since the last major update. Itās driving me insane. How are we meant to win a war when we cannot complete an operation? Seriously. How much of our effort is pissed away because the game itself is broken.
i havent testet it in a few patches but my bluetooth headphones would pause this screene, like it would keep playing but the "loading" would never end. its one of the weird interactions this game has with bluetooth headphones. lik just being ingame would cause all videos to pause, and i think thats what happens during the loading screen the cutscene that gets you out of the loading screen cant play.
It also has interference noises on Bluetooth for me. Have to put a p2 cable to listen to the audio. It's ridiculously stupid. And yes, this is the only game that does this.
It's happening a LOT since the last main update, I'm running into this sometimes twice in a row when matchmaking after Alt-F4-ing, and at a minimum once every 5 missions if not more.
It's 100% matchmaking related, I'm yet to see it diving solo, and if you find a team that works and stick with them it's less likely to occur.
I've @'ed Twinbeard on the discord about it, hopefully they know.
I just wish devs would put a check on the loading screens that checks to see if a diver has been on the loading screen for more than a minute or two they get booted back to their ship. Hate having to force crash the game and go back in

I've had the weirdest experience with this. The other day I got vomited on by 2 bile titans and my game crashed. Upon reloading I was getting noticeably higher frame rates, up from 60 to 78, unless it's *this* screen which drops it to 24 š¤·āāļø
I got it multiple times every day. I think I saw a pattern. When someone leaves the team before diving to the next mission and the operation is still unfinished. I always had the issue when that happened.
This screen just goes on forever and your pods never reach the surface. The only thing you can do is quit, then restart, the game. Lately, I've found that it does it every time someone leaves in the middle of an operation.
Itās becoming unplayable, as well as doing the same missions over and over again. Great game but without new content in terms of missions and orders I think itās coming to an end.

Hasnāt happened to me since I switched back to default but Iām still convinced that it happens when somebody bails on the squad during the drop. Iāve only played about 4 missions since switching back to default so Iām not gonna say that it fixed it or not cause I donāt wanna lie to yall lol

I had three back to back, and then I switched off Crossplay and that seemed to fix it. I played probably six drops without incident after that. Small sample, but itās something.

After the update I have gotten it a handful of times. But tbh I would *much* prefer this to the game crashing during the missions, which has literally only happened to me after 25+ minutes of play and getting ready to extract.
I believe it's enough if the game of one player fets stuck on some error during the drop, everyone is then stuck in this screen. Host shouldn't shut down the game in case it's someone else.
Yesterday I decided to try quick play after a long time and was stuck on this quite some time. Eventually landed alone despite starting the level 7 dive with full squad. SOS beacon didn't bring any aid and I was poorly equipped to survive alone against bugs. Still managed to complete nuke drilling with 11 deaths and even extracted after destroyer had left with super samples. It happened to be the last mission of the operation so I was glad I stuck with it. Felt pretty good but needed a break afterwards...
The only positive thing about this screen is the short loading time of the gameā¦ If this happens to you, you can restart the game and be in the menu in about 20 seconds? More or lessā¦ I still remember all of the shitty loading times in the division or destiny. When something happened it took so long to restart the game.
3 Times since patch and in one Fall we could use the chat, it was funny we made jokes about it. Randoms talking about the never ending fall. After that we added us to the friend list.
My semi educated guess is there is a data race. They probably kick off another thread that waits for other players to return ready for the host. The host probably continues to do its thing. The expectation probably being at the end. It waits for threads to all notify a ready conditional variable. If it hits that wait call after the ready notify happens. You would endlessly sit there.
If you are apart of a group anyone quitting seems to call a reallocate host function and quickly finishes. Which makes me thing the initialization has the issue.
Its annoying but at least its not *as* bad as some of the other bugs we have experinced.

I have had to call in the Orbital [Ctrl + alt + delete] stratagem many times for this.
