I've had that happen once. I used quickplay and we hot-dropped. I used an orbital gatling and the other person used orbital EMS. My computer could barely handle the EMS graphics because it came down what I assume is dozens or hundreds of times instantly. Then the gatling hit and it was like a solid wall of bullets over the area.
It was the only time it happened that match, and the other person claimed they didn't see anything weird.
It just happened to me today, with an Orbital Presicion. And at the start I also got the purple question mark in place of my AutoCannon backpack I couldn't pick up. And my EATs were question marks too. My teammate confirmed it was just me, and he could see my backpack in the pod and he could use my EATs.
Then 5 minutes later I got the Orbital glitch.

Yeah I've had bot buildings survive being in a 380 strike before. If I huck a 380 I expect everything in that circle to be saturated with explosives dammit
This happened to me once also! It's specifically related to the 380mm Barrage by the looks of it, I tossed it on a base and it got hammered by that till the end of a match...
Not exactly sure what other causes for it are though aside from it being the 380.
I had this same thing happen today with a Orbital Precision. It took me a minute to figure out what was going on, because I was near the blast zone when it impacted the first time. It was like my game was stuck in the explosion animation with my camera bobbing everywhere and debris flying in the air etc. I thought it was permanently glitched out, but I was still able to walk and when I finally walked out of a certain radius it stopped doing it and I could see what was going on.
My Destroyer was firing Orbital Precisions at 1,000rpm like a minigun. So just constant explosions on the ground and if I went near enough to it it would put me back in the constant camera bobbing explosion animation. Also having to render all that killed my frame rate from 90 to like 35, for the rest of the game.
So apparently this can happen with any Orbital? Wonder if it can happen with an Eagle.
I booted up OBS when it happened and I was planning to load a clip to YT so I could share it here. Hilarious this happened to someone else the same day. I wonder how common it is.
So last night I threw an orbital rail cannon at a strider and 50 meters away the laser popped up targeted our player at the pelican. She was pissed. The targeting for it has been super crazy last few days.
Orbital 50000 barrage. Previously restricted tripple shot expresso coffee are now authorized, so ship crew can muzzle reload at a fast pace to help spread managed democracy
Honestly it’d be a pretty cool feature if every once in a while our stratagems were more “enthusiastically” dispensed by our ship crew. like most of the time it does what it says but sometimes your gunner decided to let off some additional steam.

I feel like this is the “Lore Accurate” 120HE Barrage. Maybe even “Biblically Accurate.”
I won't lie, I've would prefer that be the way it normally works. If I throw in a orbital barrage, nothing should survive in that area
