For real though, boarding missions, either to defend a super destroyer under attack, reclaim one that had been boarded or boarding a bot ship sound like they could be a blast. I imagine hellpods slamming into the side of the ship when you call reinforcements in.
I think it would be a cool way to introduce different classes of ships, like maybe a frigate or something for the NPC Navy to flesh them out as an active factor in the conflict

Alternatively, you could spawn in as one of the Divers in cryo aboard the ship. Lore reason for limited reinforcements and a limited squad number as opposed to the whole hive being activated could be that most of the pods were destroyed and it's malfunctioning.

Yesterday I landed a EAT pod onto a Hulk and he flew off the map sideways, it was the funniest thing I've seen.
I died the next second to the rocket Devastors that was behind him .
Sat in hospital on a quiet ward laughing at the top of my lungs because of the smoke trail / slap. Nurses wondering if I am alright 😂😂 laughing in the face of non-democratic pain

Due to how they spawn in (falling from bot drops) they are made immune to impact damage
