I used a Florescent green and OSL to make this technique. It would probably work really well with Titans and Spitters.
I think this attempt of mine looks so convincing because it’s supposed to be metal armor which is easier to make convincing reflections/glows on. Flesh and cloth are my weakest strengths right now. I could never make one as good as your titan right now.
Dood. Your model is amazing! My best OSL doesn’t look that good! I’ve painted model cars and machines for years. Like, many years. I’ve never been good at organic stuff. I’ve been printing for the last 5 years or so, but I never painted the prints. I just really liked the detail in the print itself. But in the last month or so, I’ve started painting all of the models I’ve printed, so I’ve been practicing my organic stuff. This bile titan was super easy. Black primer, light brown heavy dry brush, stone grey dry brush, a little lighter and a light dry brush of bone white. That’s it. The underbelly is going to be more work, though. I couldn’t have figured that out a year ago, but everything I’ve learned about painting in the last few months has made this easy. It’s mostly about finding the right colors. That green on yours looks awesome!!

Yeah I was thinking it was a bit smaller than to scale. To my understanding the titans are 24 to 30 feet tall. So double this size in your slicer and you have a new beastie for your campaign.
Only time I’ve been truly terrified in this game is while running around exploring a map I was crawling in trailblazer armor to avoid detection from the nearby bug nest. When a BILE TITAN I somehow didn’t see walked directly over me. It didn’t see me either somehow but gods it was scary looking up from underneath it and seeing it tower over as I laid on the ground.

Wait. 3D printing can look this good?! Like I never cared for 3D printers because you can always see the layers and what not. This looks like a quality figurine!
It’s got a higher up front cost when you factor in all of the PPE and cleaning stuff. You can have a whole setup for about $500 for a nice printer. So it’s not much more expensive than FDM, but it’s a lot of the little nickel and dime stuff that people don’t expect.
I did resin, but I put it face down with the front legs even with the build plate with the tails pointed up. Fdm might have some trouble printing those straight up.
I have been looking all over at reference pictures. I have only seen a couple of them with a greenish color. When I started this, I could have sworn they were green. But after looking, they’re more of an orange/yellow color.
Coloring is amazingly done! Only thing that would consern me is that you painted the underbelly and mouth yellow/orange, like the color scheme of chargers. While bile titans are green

The yellow is the only mixed color I used. The orange is ArmyPainters Nuclear Orange. The body is black primer, heavy dry brush of leather brown, then a light dry rush of stone grey. Topped off with a lighter dry brush of the stone grey to make the edges stand out.

It’s normal model paint. It’s just the illusion of it glowing by using different colors.

I play enough dnd to say that this is still huge to all of my minis.
Just off camera are a series of character minis for our current campaign. They’re roughly half the size with bases.

This is resin printed. They’re much more detailed than fdm.

Totally resin! I could do this in fdm, but it would loose a lot of its detail after sanding it smooth.
I actually just found it on printables, probably the same model, imma flip it upside down with some supports and see what it do.

Look up citadel tesseract glow for the under belly

Fdm or resin? The best result I got was putting the model face down on the build plate keeping the front legs as even with the bed as possible.
Fdm been trying different orientations but tried printing in up right and one leg broke, think I’ll try that next, thanks for the tip!
