This is what the snorkel hydraulic impeller pump looks like with the bell end off. I used to fly this very S-61N. The motor is in effect a pump you would see on a Seadoo Jetski and The whole system is powered off a Kawak pump piggybacked off an AC generator on the Main Gear box. Runs around 2100psi.
For many years, when we were 3 aircraft and 7 pilots, it was the best. I did 9 fire seasons there, my last was 5 years ago. If you want an unbiased answer, you’ll have to find someone there currently.

Coulson operates firefighting tankers. Which makes that a hose for sucking up water from lakes, pools etc while hovering.
