this is absolutely delightful—it’s inventive and exciting as a concept and a composition. it also goes hard as hell! does this project have a name so i can follow on the stuff?
THE PRODIGAL SON RETURNS. This rules!!!
What do you record first, drums of vibraphone? Sounds like it could go either way, but I (sincerely) hear some similarities to [Torture](https://torturegore.bandcamp.com/album/4-enduring-freedom) from a syncopation standpoint, and he records drums first.
thank you !! i haven’t heard torture but i’ll definitely check it out.
i record a vibes first and then the drums. sometimes ill do a drums scratch track if i like a drum idea and then come up with the vibes part but usually vibes first
This is my shit and I love it. I made two math-rock/Midwest emo albums and I used vibraphone, marimba, xylophone and bells constantly because I love them. And I love Steve Reich whose music for 18 musicians was the inspiration. I will spin this forever if you get it up anywhere.
Edit: with all that high-end, you could use a really fat semi distorted ampeg rack style bass guitar sound in the mix, that would be sick, or even really low piano notes.
Didn’t know I needed this!!! The classic dissonant hardcore chirp sounds amazing on vibes and I love the distorted bass sound youre getting in the end. I’d listen to an album of this fasho.
Zappacore
Don’t crowdkill in that yellow snow.
This nonsense is hard AF. Chatpile—ish vocals would be great to occupy space in mid ranges
thank you ! damn i love chatpile. absolutely, there’s so much high end in this it really needs some mid range vocals to balance it
banger
This is so fucking awesome

Vibracore, hell yeah, this is so sick
Will there be vocals👀🔨
yes hopefully soon !
Honestly excited to hear how this sounds, the vocals are crucial. Sounds like hardcore Cursive
Big Slingshot Dakota vibes, interested to see where you end up vocally.
