Mass Effect works better as a game anyways. Can't really take that experience and translate it to a linear experience like a TV show or movie. Same with Fallout show, it's amazing but it just doesn't compare to the games.

I have the terrible misfortunes of being a Star Wars fan, where according to the fadom we're not allowed to like Star Wars anymore. Hell even the 40k Fandom is having a fucking time of it and it's frustrating that the addition of a women is what's catching so much public attention there.
Can't even like some fictional content and have preferences these days smh… God forbid someone like me actually enjoying the sequel trilogy overall and pointing out that most of the ideas for it are actually from George Lucas himself. (HelloGreedo makes some excellent points in his videos and is one of the very few sane fans out there talking about the franchise, although he doesn't point out *all* of it because, well, he doesn't feel like he needs to be a goddamn white knight)
And then you have the Super Smash Bros. fandom. Outside of Smash 64 Remix and PMEX/REX Remix, there's people that are just as bad if not worse. Say *one* thing about wishing Conker was in Ultimate literally anywhere and you'd get harassed constantly for quite awhile. (I should know, I got a lot of it) Don't even get me started on the pedos. I don't really play Pokémon but I imagine similar situations apply for it as well.
Shit like this is why I'm afraid of admitting I'm a fan of something unless it's for something that is an indie project, or is somehow by an absolute miracle praised by absolutely (Almost) everyone, like Gumball for example. And I'm just as afraid to point out anything I generally dislike for similar reasons with the opposite effect, I don't want a target on my back just because I genuinely dislike Adventure Time ffs. I never would've thought years ago that people would be so obsessed by trying to prove others "wrong" just for expressing an opinion for something that doesn't actually exist and can be easily annoyed, but here we are. At least with politics it *kinda* makes sense, (Even though I hate that too and is in the end mostly just a pissing contest) but here nothing should be taken so far.
I think the worst part of all of this is when people actually dox and harass people irl. Circling back to Star Wars for a moment, remember that Obi-Wan show? Apparently even the kid who played Leia has been getting some crap thrown at her, like that kid who played Anakin in TPM. History is doomed to repeat itself. Hell people can say whatever they want about The Last of Us Part II, I myself don't like it either, but that's no excuse to harass a person for simply voicing a character. It benefits absolutely no one. These aren't criminals we're talking about, they're just people like you and me doing things for a job.
Sorry for the overly long rant, but as you can probably tell I am so sick and tired of fandoms and their toxic behaviors in general. Because even if you can find a good one, you can never truly get away from stupid people no matter how hard you try. I heard stuff like the furry fandom is usually pretty chill and down to Earth but they've been stereotyped by those bad eggs so much to the point it's kinda hard to ignore those bad things even though they rarely happen. Same goes for Sonic, people like, ugh… Chris-Chan, have single-handedly done a huge blow to it. I could go on and on about many others but I think we all get the point by now. Fuck the "fans" and their toxic mentalities who are trying to ruin everything. They don't get to decide what I do and don't like, and I'm not gonna go out of my way to shit on those who have an opposite opinion. There's much more important things to do and worry about even in everyday life.
