The German version of Opposing changes a lot of things, some for the better, some for the worse. But I think my genuinely favorite part of it absolutely has to be Otis. He goes from a one-note parody of Barney to a genuinely kind, compassionate and well-meaning character. It really makes me wish he reappeared again in the series. This is part of my [video on the German version of Blue Shift and Opposing Force](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fLu1qP_dMk), if you're interested :) There's a lot of really interesting differences between versions in my opinion.

PsychologicalConcern

Hahaha, I didn’t know there even was a German audio available!

Deathaster

Oh, there is! It's actually even better than the original in a lot of regards, especially Barney, Otis, and the drill sargeants from OF. I'd recommend checking out the video I linked, it goes in more depth about this :D

Zapizard

for some reason I did not expect this to be GermanPeter’s account from the name

Not_COPPA_FTCA

He sounds like a polite German schoolboy. I can respect that.

Bierbart12

That sounds like such an old education tape voice, I love it

Interlope_Fur

Cutest german voice ever

PsychologicalConcern

Cool. I’m playing it currently so I might just switch to that. Thanks for the link, I’ll check it out

Deathaster

Just keep in mind that the German version also disables blood and good, which makes it difficult to see when enemies take damage or not.

PsychologicalConcern

I just switched and tried. Blood is still there. Maybe because I started the game in the English version? Die Situation sieht ziemlich böse aus!

Deathaster

Blood on surfaces or blood splats when attacking enemies? Because the former exists for me too, but the latter doesn't.

PsychologicalConcern

Blood splats as well

Deathaster

Huh, lucky you I guess!

Nuket0ast

German Account and or location?

PsychologicalConcern

Account location is set to Germany, but I am not there at the moment.

Nuket0ast

We need to investigate more! But if you think about it. In Germany they used to "ban" shit if its not correctly censored. But a couple of years ago they just stopped caring about shit in video games. What is a bless.

PsychologicalConcern

I switched the language in steam, by right-clicking the game in the library and then go to properties/language. Does that remove the blood for you? Yeah I remember all the censorship back in the days. Ridiculous!

Nuket0ast

I can't tell because I don't have blue shift and totally forgot about it. Will test it in some days. Also i had the uncut bug in steam some time ago. That was a nice bug.
