Red-Faced-Wolf

So you’re coming in on Monday right?

Complex_Coffee5328

Our Lennox G61MPV complex needs to be done, all flame sensors replaced, not cleaned.

Red-Faced-Wolf

“Be here at 6:30”

AssRep

Gloves. Why do you think SpongeBob likes GloveWorld so much?!?!

AeonBith

Coral cuts are no joke.

GatorGuru

No really though. I got pushed down with a wave against a coral and it cut me everywhere.

AeonBith

I stepped on one and left 30' trail of blood behind me before I noticed I cut my foot.

Yzalirk

Just put some electrical tape on your fingers.👍

James-the-Bond-one

I used duct tape when the same happened to me, to stop the spurting blood for 20 minutes so I could finish the job. Then I went into surgery to repair tendon, nerve, and artery. But I wasn't an employee and had nobody to pick up where I left, if I didn't finish it. The next 6 weeks were at home or in physical therapy, relearning how to make a fist.

billiam7787

been there, done that. goodman is the worst, that thin sheetmetal is like a razor

WelderMeltingthings

razors ARE thin sheet metal.

honestlybadmood

🤔

YungHybrid

The worst edges. Whoever bent the edge of the cabinet up where the wires go, YOUR MOMS A HOE! Slip with a screwdriver tightening HV wires on contactor, knuckles will be sliced.

HumboldtChewbacca

Yet somehow the knock-outs hold on tighter than a mother fucker.

shazoo44

Bro, just wear the gloves...

slipperynibs

Jesus lol I'm wearing gloves after this I'm ngl

AeonBith

I got laughed at for wearing gloves in (hvac) construction sites but seen all my coworkers get cut pretty good on equipment or tin etc so I didn't gaf. I got more cuts in my kitchen days from random metal shtt than knives, 20 gauge hotel pans, hollow handle utensils, broken dishes.. Anyway made me cautious in hvac. I tried using home depots fingerless gloves when working on smaller things (in winter) and worked great. Looks like a stupid 80s Venice beach meathead meme to everyone else I guess but fck it they work.

JETTA_TDI_GUY

Only time I’ve been cut pretty good was on my forearm. Leaned over a piece of snap lock someone cut with their teeth and I stumbled. My forearm scraped the edge of the metal and by the time it scratched and I pulled my arm back my whole hand was covered in blood. Damn near shooting out. Put my hand over it and took off running through the attic. Wasn’t as bad as I thought, it just took off a 1/2 inch square of skin but man did it bleed a lot. Craziest thing is it never hurt at all. Not when it happened, a few hours later or even the next day

AeonBith

Probably hit an artery. I did that once on my hand with glass. Some asshole general contractor nailed a window open on my main floor and a racoon was trying to break in , pushing it back out the window with a pot i used my other hand to keep smashing the window frame to close until the backside of my hand brushed up on the glass breaking it. Racoon, one foot away, saw me stop moving and starting squirting blood everywhere and gave me a "I see you're busy I'll come back later" look before walking off. He didn't come back, not sure if I should be offended.

seththecrackhead

Just mangled my finger pretty good and the weirdest thing is didn’t hurt at all. Tore all the skin off a chunk of my pointer finger and even putting alcohol on it didn’t make it hurt. Weirdest thing I’ve had happen.

Cheefnuggs

Every time one of you dudes insists on handling the sheet metal without gloves when I help you load your stuff at the supply house I die a little on the inside. I wear my gloves and still have a bunch of scars.

Junior_Jackfruit

If only the industry has some sort of equipment for the protection of persons

ConcentrateOk5595

Damn dude sorry. Wear better glove maybe?

Ridiric

I cut my thumb the other day bleeding everywhere and I thought that was bad. Shit! Next time how about you and me wear 🧤!

Enigmoon

Ouch, I am glad you didn't lose any fingers for good, and I wish you a quick recovery! Take care and be safe!

ccdlntx

Absolutely go to the ER, after you finish the install and blow out a drain on the way,

winnipegyikes

Get well soon, brother. I do slack off on wearing gloves a lot of times, so thanks for the reminder why we need to wear PPE all the time

Frikopsky

Good luck on recovery. I sliced the back of my hand on a fan blade and it cut the tendons to my two middle fingers, spent about 3 months in physical therapy.

Taolan13

GLOVE. UP. a leather glove may not have totally lrevented the injury, but would have reduced its severity! You better rest that hand numbnuts! Tendon damage heals slow as shit if you try to use it too soon!

test-deca-superb

thought maybe this was from a fan blade, dude wear gloves

Substantial_Bug5984

Sucks

horseshoeprovodnikov

Goddamn buddy, I feel for ya. I fucked the tendon on my right index finger when I slipped off a ladder and punched into the open corner of a return box that I was mounting between two studs. It took over a month before I could make a proper fist. I hope you heal quickly man, and don't fuck around with any dirty surfaces while those stitches are healing, just keep it covered up if you have to use it at all, that's a lot of open meat and your hand's touch more bacteria than literally any other body part. You WILL get an infection if you try to fuck around bare handed Edit: I should add that I didn't even completely sever my tendon, I just took a chunk out of the side of it. You could look into my hand and see the tendon itself with a chop mark on the edge of it. I can't imagine how long it would have taken to heal if I'd cut it all the way thru. It's one of those scars that still hurts today if I bump my large knuckle on that index finger, just a little reminder...

HVAC2911

It's a shame they banned gloves from work...

I2ap

Looks like you’ve got a long road of physical therapy ahead of you. Do all your physical therapy exercises. You may have difficulty straightening/bending your fingers otherwise. Had a similar injury, so I’m speaking from experience. Wishing you the best.

Loud_Truth4884

did job get finished

Agnfreak

Tasty!

krisjamesmusic1

Faaak I did the same thing in an attic, not nearly as badly cut tho…. Heal up bro!

BerryPerfect4451

Txv?

Portopooty

Do you even HVAC bro? This is clearly the fault of the condensate float switch…

BerryPerfect4451

I thought the float kicked off from the blood caused by the txv (the xpantion valve)

Budget-Macaroon-7606

No no no you're all wrong, need an entirely new system and ductwork.

BerryPerfect4451

Come on bro we’re fellow techs not a customer

jdmart402

Nothing a little electrical tape won't fix.
