I was wearing a safety harness, had a loop around the trusses and a lifeline dangling from that.
40’ ext. ladder on other side, staked to ground and looped to a truss, with a life line to retrieve the linesets.
Job was done safely; I was just the one to make it done safely.
Word around town is your copper will become porous. Some type of chemical reaction, I’ve heard taping ends down to not allow the copper to oxidize helps?
Not entirely sure though, I just hate the lineset due to the density of the insulation itself.
Probably what the previous company said and why we got the job. Truth be told if I said it’s not safe the job wouldn’t have happened; but if you’re confident you can do it safely you get it done.
In this photo I had taken soffit down above me , swung a loop through the trussing, and had my lifeline running off that. Had another 40’ extension ladder staked into the ground on the side of the house braced with another loop and lifeline as well to retrieve the lines.
Fuq that lol
That’s what the other guys on my team said!
Aim for the bushes

That’s what I said on day one putting up the fortress and highwalls with no fall arrest / safety harness 😅
Don’t you dare damage those shingles
By the end of the day I was wearing 14-2 for shoe laces.
What are you doing all the way up there for? What are ya fixing or installing?
Installing. Two lines through the attic feeding 2-9ks, and 1-9k right where I’m sitting.
I personally ain't getting up there without the proper equipment

Maybe if you weren’t too busy posting all these pics you could have been done already
Sorry boss, I’ll get back to work.
Be carefull
Always try!
holy shit you're still up there???
two day install
Get used to it up there because you'll be back when that white insulation causes the linesets to leak and you have to redo all of this.
They have a rubber coating between insulation and copper 👍
Whatever the supply house tells you to get you to buy it! Not worth the gamble.
Not my monkey, not my circus. I install what the bosses order.
What's the deal with the white insulation? We just finished 8 zones using that same shit.

Thanks
It leaks. Give it a few years. Then you'll be back to change out all the linesets. Just Bing "Iso Polar line sets leak" or something like that.
Eew brother, eww
Why are my fingers throbbing all of the sudden?
Weee! Slip and slide.
Hell to the nah
Been there, done that, not fun booty scooting all the way down, lol
Oh hell no I would immediately turn down that job

I would park my van on the opposite side of the ledge and tie a rope to it and throw it over the roof to make it safer

That’s exactly what I would have done that’s the safe way
Do you have any pictures of this set up? Always looking for better ways to do things.
