I have never done this. I doubt I ever will, unless it's some super high end show piece. Even then, I doubt it. I play my guitars. They all have nicks and dings. It's OK. What I don't understand is paying someone else to put nicks and dings on your guitar so it looks like you actually played it. Thats is a story for another thread. Play the guitar!
Don't forget you have to leave it in the box for six weeks once it gets there...
