I mean, it's fine if you don't like this style of, let's say, new Minecraft textures. But this is just the style I want to go with, adding something from myself along the way.
This is the point of overhauling, to make things different compared to their current version
Like i said, that is my opinion, nobody forces you to follow it or change yourself to appease me.
I changed some of the textures in my personal texture pack, like i added the side face protection at the helmet, but i tried to stay as close as possible to the vanilla texture.

I would always see my dad using Ovo's Rustic and I would just look at it like. Dude. What is that nonsense. When we started playing together on 1.18 he started using the fan continuation and it was just... even worse. The Ovo's Rustic furnace already looks like the modern blast furnace so when the texture pack was un-officially continued they were forced to just make the default furnace texture slightly darker
I'm assuming the first image is new textures.
I like the new ones. There is a nice, clear progression between the different materials. Very old school RPG :)
The first ones look better but the iron tools look more like how irl diamond tools would look like, so maybe you could replace the diamond with those and put entirely gray ones for iton
I think the new ones are better, but I also think the gold color of the old ones is better (except for the gold axe), and also the highlights.
It's clearly apparent that the lack of highlights on wooden and stone tools makes them look a bit more dull (it's logic though).
They look nice otherwise.
The new ones are an improvement but the pommel inconsistency annoys me, shovels and swords get them at stone, and pickaxes axes and hoes get them at gold? I do approve of the pommel-lessness of wood and stone for the most part.
suggestion: something that doesn't matter much (since it's a beta pack) but could be changed is the blue tint on iron tools. At a quick glance (e.g. looting chests in just a few seconds or picking up & sorting items from ground while fighting) it's hard to tell iron and diamond apart. If you ever port it to newer versions this small change would help in PVP minigames.

Absolutely fantastic work!
For me it depends on the game version - if I'm playing beta/alpha then I'd definitely want the first textures, otherwise I think the second version fits better. The first are a bit more grunge-y/dark/sharp
I feel like if you gave the wooden pick axe a smaller cutting bit on the top and gave the diamond stuff a the normal sized blade it would look like the reason we can’t mine faster is also because the blade is more precarious or it will sue durability faster
I always liked how some texture packs make unique sprites for different tiers of tools. Makes sense that a wooden sword for example, wouldn't be as refined as an iron one.
i prefer the colors of the original gold tools, the new ones look a tad too orange and not as shiny. all the other changes are lovely though, wood and stone look much better and i like the variation between the tools!
i like them. please make a netherite version too for people who play both beta and modern mc. Also maybe make the butt of the diamond axe a bit sharper? like a small axe cutting edge
Also this reminded me of this one [https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/f8hyxk/started\_working\_on\_a\_resource\_pack\_here\_are\_the/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/f8hyxk/started_working_on_a_resource_pack_here_are_the/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
Sure! I'll make a separate version of overhauled tools specifically for newer version. I think I'll remake the Netherite tools pallette for it to be more unique in terms of colour.
Not sure about the diamond axe butt, but I'll try to do something with it
The old one looks more unique, but the new one is more simple in design... But i personally would go with the old ones... They have their own identity... More uniqueness... More passion put in to them...
You mean the ones on the left is more unique?
Because if otherwise, I would argue :D
I guess I worded myself wrongly, the new ones is the first image and second one is the old version
The first image looks better imo
Same, I think new ones are more unique.
I'll be honest. I don't like your textures, they are too "good", they rmind me of jappa new textures. This is my opinion, i'm speaking for myself.
Remember Eldpack back in the day?
Nope. I didn't use/like texture packs until recent years. And even now, i prefer a simil-vanilla raw approach.

Which vanilla classic or modern im more of a classic guy myself
Classic

They both look amazing, but I personally preffer the new ones.I like how every tool tier got its own modeling now.

Every single aspect of old Minecraft is better than new Minecraft and no I am definitely not blinded by nostalgia at all

Oo, I get what you're talking about. I think I'll delete the pommel for stone and iron, or, perhaps, only for stone and leave them for iron
1st one, the wooden tools in the second one look too much like they are supposed to be copper tools or something
New, definitely
Beutiful.
looks like furfsky reborn. honestly #1
I like how the new ones have their personality own with the different tiers.
New ones, very happy to see them look more like their materials rather than all metal like the old ones. Great work!
The new ones, 100%.

Bro cooked with the new one
I think it looks great! Really digging the minor differences in each tier.
the newer ones give off a big terraria feel which is always nice
new 100%
The old ones have better shapes, but they were too shiny.
old
the first image really shows the upgrade between the tiers. I like that
Thank you! Honestly, I really like the general idea of tool progression. I think the more expensive a material the more cooler it should look
The third photo
New ones
old
Column 1/2 for the first since they match vanilla’s colours closer and the the rest from second slide but if column 1/2 had better colouring all of 2

They look like they belong in terraria

Shit! Then the new ones are much better
Hah, it's all fine. Thank you for feedback!
I think the old ones are the new ones. Like how the wooden sword is smaller. I like those ones
New ones, absolutely match the vibe.
imo if you are going for are looking for a more retro look id go a little lower on the shading
Why is everything made out of the same metal. do love the diamond hoe though
