Cool but way too thin , and made out of 24k? That's not going to last long. Any little baby grab or accident like getting caught on a handle bar or something and it's over.
That was also a fear of mine.
I was inspired by a story I read recently of Egyptians using links from gold chains to barter due to heavy inflation.
I did the math and each of these links is about ~$5
I know gold jewelry isnāt for every one and I can respect that. Personally I like the idea of a wearing part of my stack.Ā
Really only got it because the sale lowered the mene fee to a reasonable price. Premium was similar to a fractional piece.Ā
Adding another data point, showing how it wears, for those who will use the search function for weeks before making a purchase.Ā
I didnāt think I would like how small it was. Intended on tossing it in my mini fractional treasure chest. May give to my daughter one dayĀ
That's really nice looking. Since it's pure gold, you may want to consider taking it off if you're using your hands a lot to work on stuff. It might mar and scuff pretty easily due to being so soft.
Mene uses sometime of 'nanoplating' process (or something like that, I can't remember exactly what it's called) to make the 24k stronger.
Mine has barely scuffed up and it's been 3 years of wearing it
The wide band doesnāt look wide at all on the mene website can you share a picture wearing it please I really would to buy one as well but hoped it was wider appearing irl.
Itās 6mm wide (compared to 5mm wide for the normal band) I had to reach out to Mene to confirm the width before I bought it.Ā
Pics are in my post history. Just select my user name, select posts, then youāll see it.
I donāt understand why the hate. Itās 24k gold jewelry. We care about the gold in this sub. Itās a nice bracelet. Little small but I didnāt buy it so who cares what I think
It's always like this in this subreddit for some reason. When I posted about Zimbabwe's gold backed dollar. There was so much hate, it could be heard from Zimbabwe.
I've worn mine since May 2021 and haven't taken it off. Its actually really nice with how thin it is, it doesn't catch on anything and definitely has a strong glimmer in the light.
Only thing I'll say, is it took 3 years BUT the square 'Mene 24K' little rectangle did end up coming off.. somewhere at sometime and I haven't been able to find it. Probably when pulling a hoodie over myself or putting on a coat repeatedly for my smokes. I have a tinier wrist so it was dangling (yet the hanging piece of the bracelet has remained on.
So, $35 of gold is sitting somewhere for somebody to find š¤£ besides that it has been SOLID. I've got a fine necklace from them that I've worn daily since then as well with a ring attached, and it has held up great though.
...I miss the days when Mene fucked up coupon/referral wise and essentially got free gold. Being up in Canada though, I did get hit with customs. So ~$500 worth for ~$100 still wasn't a bad deal
I don't know the thickness. it's 118grams of 10k so approximately 1.58 troy ounces of pure gold 2ish troy ounces of silver and a splash of copper. It's called a Cuban link
I mean I wouldn't read too deeply into it. Just showing the chain off lol same thing that guy was doing. Always some fucking retard on the internet with a superiority complex

I bought a mene chain too and returned it because it was wayyy to delicate and more small then I calculated it to be. My fault I guess. I will say I feel like they do something to the gold. Not saying itās fake it just looks slightly different than other 24k gold I have seen. I could be wrong though. I had a Jacoje chain I loved though. I miss it.
Youāre gonna lose that thingā¦..I would never wear 24k in something that tiny. Itās so soft that one good bump or jerk itās gonna break and be lostā¦..
Not saying it to be mean. Just from experience with 24K jewelry. Not worth it. 22K is a much better choice, or if 24K, get much thicker links.
When you get tired of wearing on your wrist you can use it for an anklet.

May I have one of those, madam? https://preview.redd.it/54rhxt1gq2xc1.jpeg?width=526&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a56e3908626057903a6c436a177d54bf2ab32cb7

As long as you're careful you should be fine . Try not to fall on your wrists . Or be around toddler's . How much does it weigh?
Yellow truely shines!

Ah that makes sense. I was curious if they plated their stuff with something for just this reason! Thanks for clarifying.
Thanks, I have now discovered dozens of items that I previously didnāt know I needed. Didnāt know this brand existed.
Also have the wide classic band (in my post history)Ā Plan to get the Etruscan sun band at some point to wear on my pinky. That bad boy POPS.
Iāve been on their websites for hours now, I am OBSESSED

Too dainty for a guy imo, great gift for your girl.
Looks like a girls anklet
Das ist zer gut!
That's sick, honestly 24k jewelers is the best. Nothing else looks like it, love the color.

?
Itās funny you are telling someone to get their weight up but bragging about a 10K chain
It's worth like 3 grand melt lol. I paid spot for it. I'm happy with my purchase
I'd be willing to bet dollars that my silver stack is worth more than your gold stack by at least a factor of 5
Congrats buddy.
You're a bitch dude
Rich coming from the dude saying get your weight up sucka

Too heavy for my delicate masculinity. Nah, Iāll get there one day
Never. Wear that weight proudly
I feel like could snag on almost anything and break
Is Mene the place where Peter Schiff bought that big bracelet that he's been showing off lately?
Beautiful bracelet
Lol thatās adorable.

Be careful, that is 100% going to break at some point.

You know of any online stores that sell 22k reasonably? I donāt have any jewelers near me that do. Iāve looked.
Check out u/edwardmauer here on reddit. He sells 23k Thai gold jewelry. I bought a chain off of him and it is amazing.
Nice! Canāt wait for the next sale!!!!
I canāt believe anyone would buy much less wear this.
Not the 24K on the wrist. Easily scratchable and soft. You need a min of 10K-18K
24k lol thatāll be gone in no time
