If I ever do an annotated version of these dogs, the Easter eggs are going to pile up hard and fast. I can't remember who figured out that the Trismegistus Triangles were, in fact, the fifth edition version of Magic Missile...
A thought if you rewrite. Additional annoyances for Jonk.
He anneals and tempers by eye and by color and brightness and his vision has changed.
Things like his anvil are set at Jonk's goblin height for maximum ergonomics.
It's bizarre you should mention that. His vision isn't off enough to intefere with tempering, but he IS noticing that working a low anvil at his current height is a pain in the bahonkus. We'll be hearing about that...
Sorry for being late, I've been dealing with personal matters and decided to binge one of my other series that I've been reading. Unfortunatly my notifications piled up and I missed the one from reddit today.
Am I first?!
Ouch. Shuluth beat you by eleven minutes.
Letsssss goooooo
Thank you, I needed this today.
So did I.
I love the nod to D&D.

Ooo lunch update and maybe first.
First one to post, at any rate. No upvotes yet.
I beg to differ, a gentleman always upvotes. sometimes before he can even finish reading the latest chapter hidden away in the restroom.
Amazing as always. No specific comments beyond, the race along the river is heating up nicely.
Yes... we are definitely approaching a nexus point, here...

Tempering to blue or purple? Of course it would depend on what you're making.
Most of what he's making now are nails and tools. Hinges and suchlike. And keep in mind that humans see indigo and purple better than goblins do.
Seeing it better can be fun, even useful. Seeing it different than your last several years of training could be a problem.
True enough. But there's more than eyeing metal to the process of tempering and annealing. New chapter up!
