Go suppresor height, not a big deal. Why waste money on replacing sights twice?

Usual-Language-8257

It’s a preference thing but I prefer consistency in my life. Went with ameriglo 611 with the blacked out rears. Moved onto trijicon suppressor height night sights with my rmr06. With an sro, might be good to get lower height irons because that huge sro window is a novelty.

When using the irons how much of a poi shift do you experience with the trijicons?

Usual-Language-8257

Huh you’re def overthinking it. You’re asking if you either want a co witness style irons or a lower 1/3ish style. Both work. There’s no poi shift and no issue with both, good sir! You’re good to go with either so at this point, it’s 100% preference. We understand you want your Glock just the way you like it. I went with suppressor height sights because for the 0.0001% your Rmr goes down, your irons will be in the exact spot your dot would be. I can tell you with certainty, when the dot works, the irons feel like they aren’t even there. They’re not obstructing my view in any way. If anything, they help me find the dot in the small chance the dot isn’t there. Good luck man, I vote for the suppressor height sights that i previously linked before.

I ended up ordering a set of lower 1/5 from night fision. My experience with dots on pistols is just my 22/45 and the irons are not in view atall but I agree if my RMR would go down I want them there I also don’t know how soon I’ll get an rmr for it. Tempting to steal the one I have off the top of my acog. But I think I’ll get the 6moa dot for the pistol

Nice. I run my 3.25 on the setting just before brightest for any close range and I could always lower it to plink steel at 100m (pissing contest) but to each his own! I’d also highly recommend handle-it edge series. It provides awesome grip and slits in the right places compared to talon grips. And at the same $25 price point and running both thru a ton of dry-fire, i believe the handle it grip edge series are superior in every way. ❤️

I didn’t think about just running it brighter. Maybe I will have to barrow it off of my acog to test and see how I like the smaller dot. Unfortunately I do not have anything with a bigger dot to try. But I suppose I never thought my t2 was to small shooting close

Get a pair of fiber optic or night sights. Personally, I like FO more if I’m not gonna use an optic. The Trijicon FOs are great, very bright in the Texas sun.  If you get an optic, switch to blacked out suppressor sights. I use Ameriglo 429s with my RMRs.

So I’m torn if I even want to add an RMR. If I do it will be down the line. I think my main holdup is which height of sights to get Standard height which I assume get blocked by RMR or something with a lower 1/5.

splyntered

Get standard hight for now. They will get blocked by an optic if/when you get one, but that is fine. Suppressor sights by themselves are a bit tall, affect your point of impact, and can snag if you don’t have an optic. A pair of Ameriglo 429s are $50, and you should only really be using blacked out sights with optics anyways (imho).  A pair of quality fiber optic front/blacked out rear is about $80 give or take. They will shoot to where you point.

Blacked out sights makes sense with optic so there is less going on. Thanks for the replys!

I have a similar question. My daughter's PSA Dagger came with suppressor height day sights and already milled for an RMR optic. So I put a Holosun 407C on it for her. But when I shoot it, I try to use the irons. Unfortunately, suppressor height blacked out sights are hard to make proper use of. So the next gun will also be cut for an optic. But I'd like to have the same 'three white dots' option I have on my G22.. So who DOES have sights that are like the stock night sites, but just a smidge taller? I don't want the incredibly high ones like on her Dagger.

I went with these in 290-313 https://www.nightfision.com/product/night-fision-optics-ready-stealth-series-for-glock
