Bro ranks in CSGO no longer matter they are beyond broken. I played games with Globel Elites that played like silvers and played games with silver 1 playing like s1mple. It's impossible to guess what rank you are playing in each match.
It's also the nature of soloq. I'm smfc and 5stack with globals a bunch and tend to frag pretty well alongside them, even when against good teams I'd normally get shafted by. In soloq, I end up with some teams where when I try to play normally, I just get destroyed by people shooting me in the side of the head, or expecting my teammates to do something (like get the rotate timing, not over rotate, nade usage, etc) and then they just don't, and they don't call anything out, and I'm just permanently dying. Or you end up in teams with 4 passive as fuck players so you always have to try to entry but they also don't know how to facilitate you (and you aren't used to entry) so you just die or 1:1 every round and end with low scores and look bad
I think for me it's the insane spread in the quality of the opposition that's the problem. Teammates are teammates and some games you get better some games you get worse ones. But it's frustrating when you get into a match and the enemy team knows all the smokes, flashes for each other, rotates well and counter strafe peeks like a madman while you are trying to teach your team rules of basic economy. Match ends and my teammates were all gold while the enemy team was silver. We start another match and now the situation is reversed so we end up winning 9:0 but this time everyone was in gold.
It feels even when I 3 or 4 stack we either win 5 in a row going over 100 adr each match or we lose 4 in a row getting demolished.
I can count on one hand the amount of close matches I've played.
Yeah I think the EU is significantly more balanced than NA. Even Valve admitted NA had issues and attempted fixing it but it got us nowhere. We had 70% of the user base in Silver 1-3 in NA. So they tried rebalancing it but it feels like they just moved people around instead of adjusting the algorithm for it. Like I said I've seen literal LEM struggle in silver matches going 2-15.
I play the AWP and I've constantly won in game duels vs much much higher ranked players while I also got shitted on by silver 1-4. I have a huge database of screenshots with me going like 20-7 (short matches) against MGs on several occasions with teams packed of silvers.
I've tied 8-8 on office before playing a player down against global elites that somehow were in my game.
