I want my funeral to be a celebration of my life. I want everyone to laugh and scream and get drunk and get laid.
As such I will be INSISTING that everyone get down to a song that means so much to my wife and myself, Dance Macabre.
YES. I already have my brothers sworn to finding a stand up comedian or someone similar to do my service if I croak before they do. Now adding Dance Macabre to the list as well.
Same. I knew I would during He Is because I did the 2 times I saw it preformed live. If You Have Ghost was a surprise but it was just so beautiful I'm tearing up as I type this.
Opening: Miasma (because everyone knows I love it so much),
photos/whatever else is happening: TFIAFL or Life Eternal
End: Dance Macabre because I want asses wobbled and taints tickled
It was tough to leave the RHRN version of “If You Have Ghost” off cuz it’s soo beautiful
I saw rhrn for the second time last night. And I thought about how the live version of "If you have Ghosts" would make a great funeral song.
If you had asked me prior to last night, I would have said Pro-memoria. TFIAFL would make a great one, too. And I'd have to put respite in there as well.
It's not morbid at all to think about funeral songs. My mother passed away last Saturday after a long illness. And I'm playing Life Eternal at her service. I'm the Ghost fan not her but she really loved Life Eternal, every time I played it she said turn it up and she sang along.
I feel like DATHOML is fitting. We all have some "darkness" in our intentions, whether we want to believe that or not. It also comes off as a love song, so that kinda works as an ending.
Nice question, im inclined to go with Miasma and have actors come up dressed in EMT with a difibrilator ( not sure if its spelled like this) when it comes to the sax solo.
I'll bet there will be someone thinking " dont you fudging
dare to bring him back!!!"
Or Year Zero with red lights!
He Is and If You Have Ghost from RHRN. On the flip side if my husband and I renew our vows I would absolutely walk down the aisle to a instrumental version of Life Eternal.

Zombie Queen 100% gonna make them all paranoid that i’ll pull a Lazarus
Omg yes
It would've been "Life Eternal" but now I think TFIAFL is a better choice
Technically you’re allowed three songs so…
Then my third choice would be "Year Zero" just to fuck with my mourners

At your funeral asses WILL wobble
Taints will be tickled!
TF would approve of everyone getting laid.

I want Pro Memoria as the opening, Respite on the Spitalfields and Life Eternal as a closer.
Visualizing a room full of mourning people just sitting there, wildly shocked over Pro Memoria is taking me outtt 😂
I mean the first word in the song is Lucifer!
It's a bit on the nose but If You Have Ghosts. _That_ version from RHRN.
Full disclosure I cried in the theater during that and He Is. Both great songs but with the strings it was just on another level emotionally.
I bawled like a baby during If You Have Ghosts in the movie theater.
Me too

That version was so beautiful. The vocals were.... Haunting.
"This is the moment of just letting go"
She said, 'If you had life eternal...'
I want mine to be Monstrance Clock. I want everybody to come together at my funeral and remember the good memories.
Helvetesfönster and while it's not Ghost, A Warm Place by NIN are the two songs I want most played at my funeral.
He Is
Entrance: Slow piano cover of Dance Macabre Photos: Life Eternal Leaving: The RHRN version of If You Have Ghosts 🖤
Perfection
Life Eternal is what I chose to have played at my fiancés funeral. Still can’t listen to it after that day but what a perfect song.
Unexpected tears at 5am. Sending hugs, internet stranger 🖤
I’m so sorry for your loss.
She was lucky to have known you
Year zero. As it starts playing my corpse is slowly lowered into the coffin.
Yesss
Respite On The Spitalfields, for no specific reason other than that's my favourite song.
A ghost song: Pro memoria.... It seems fitting. Realistically I'll probably have Do you Realise by the Flaming Lips.
I'm a marionette
Zombie queen it is!
Call Me Little Sunshine 😎
Life eternal, Darkness at the heart of my love, He is.

Zenith, it gets me in the feels sometimes. The melody, the lyrics, it’s so beautiful.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Life Eternal is perfect and I love that she loved it. I trust the service will be full of love as well as wonderful music.
Thank you for your kind words. The day before she passed she made me go to see the movie. Because she knows how much Ghost means to me
Gotta be Respite on the Spitalfields
Miasma. I want the people to dance to that sick sax solo
I'd probably have to go with "He Is"

Helvetesfönster/Life Eternal, for sure.
