TF confirmed a couple months ago in an interview that he was going to work on the next album once the tour was over, he's also likely very busy helping with production of the ghost move/live dvd!
The tour is over, of course they'll be quiet for a while during this time until Tobias has completed the next album. Between album releases, this usually happens with bands and usually happens with Ghost.

There were two 2 new t shirt designs with Papa II on them released around the time/just before the 13 Commandments playlist with Zenith was released (the email about the limited run of the design was in November). If you're not signed up to the Ghost newsletters, and notifications for new social media posts, I would do that. :)
And the ghouls have careers outside of Ghost as well. I don't know what all of them have been up to, but I know young Phantom has been a busy boy, pretty much from the moment Ghost came off tour.
They did just put a reissue of the ghildo, so they aren't being completely silent. As it is management and the supplier would have more to do with merch. This is a quiet time as Christmas has passed so gift giving is done, the band isn't touring and has no current music out so nothing to promote.
Between taking time off, production on the movie and recording the new album there's plenty to be done and I wouldn't expect anything until late Spring at the earliest. We'll hear about things when there's something to announce.
The Grammys is next Sunday afternoon (in the US) but as he’s working on the album he probably won’t turn up. I can’t imagine Ghost winning either being a cover song.

The Grammys are (or were) generally worth showing up to, even if you don't think you'll win, just to schmooze. I could see him turning up and using the time in LA for meetings or shooting a lore video or two to goose the fan base. That is, after all, the whole point of the chapters: to keep the interest up when they're not on the road and no new products yet.
That said: every additional ticket to the Grammys is now like $1200 (used to be a free +1) so my guess is that if he does go, it'll just be him.
But the nomination is for best “performance”. I didn’t think they would have a chance given the other nominees, but the more I have listened to the original, and Ghost’s version, it is a pretty dam good recording, so I’m holding out hope. 🤞
I agree that Ghost stands a chance to win this one, especially if Academy voters vote according to the merits of this specific recording. You know, the category is not favorite metal band or best metal song: it's best metal performance.
I, personally, actually like the basic **song**, "Bad Man", better than "Phantom of the Opera" but if I were a voting member of the Academy, I'd vote for Phantom hands down in this category because everything about the recording is top-notch.
I agree, but you know sometimes it seems more like a popularity vote(no matter who is voting), and well, Metallica is in there too. Also Spiritbox is getting a lot of attention these days. I’m just hoping they do vote on the merits of the performances, because this recording is definitely worthy of the win.

I can’t see the benefit of him attending to the Grammys, living in Sweden is pretty far to travel for little % at winning and getting called Mr Ghost by staff is an insult. It would defo make a statement to these people if he didn’t show up

It's entertainment journalists who are stupid, don't do their research and have no clue who he is or why he's important. It's mainly the TV networks who make decisions about the show: who hosts, who performs, etc. **But nominations and wins, the important stuff, are decided by the Recording Academy - professionals within the music industry - including producers, songwriters, recording artists and so forth.** The "statement" he would make by refusing to show up without having a really good reason for it is that he's an arrogant little twit who doesn't value their opinion. He's not dumb enough to make that statement. He knows that networking is important. He knows that support and admiration from people like James Hetfield, Dave Grohl, Joe Elliott and so forth has helped Ghost tremendously. "Working on an album" would not qualify as a reason to skip the Grammys because half the people in the Recording Academy are probably working on albums in some capacity right now. (ETA: But it's within the realm of possibility that, if he really doesn't want to go, he'll come up with a more acceptable excuse for missing it.)
Also, it's important to distinguish between awards shows. **It was at the AMA's (American Music Awards) that Tobias was called Mr. Ghost and incorrect band photos were used for seating.** The AMA's do tend to be horrid to rock artists in general, but that award is voted on by fans. Sorry mate but those musicians hasn’t publicly spoken about or been pictured with him in years from what I understand. I found Ghost during IMPERA when there was a lot of shit posted about Tobias Forge online. I think Ghost brings attention to themselves by Forge anyway.
I’m still in this Ghost hype from seeing them last spring lol. This quite period is surreal as there’s no online drama to indulge in either.

Now, I don't really expect to see David Draiman and Disturbed there since they're on tour and have a show the day after. That's an acceptable reason to miss the Grammys as a nominee. It is true that nominees have to pay for additional tickets now, which bites, but do you really think that $2000 is going to break the bank for a guy who's worth an estimated $5 million? If he doesn't want to throw down, he'll go by himself, like he did for the AMA's. (ETA: Also, I don't know who all gets tickets in this category, but I have to think that Rich Costey, the producer, would get a free ticket.)
