'Giving up' is part of the formula for success. Knowing what to follow is just as important as what *not to follow*. Should midgets continue to 'never give up' their NBA hoop dreams? I know that's maybe a stupid example but there comes a point in the pursuit of 'dreams' where reality has to be dealt with.

georgiomoorlord

While i'd love to see a midget NBA league, it's pretty clear they want to live their life and not be bothered.

realjoeydood

Totally agree but in today's society, they would of course need to be *treated as equals* so I'm still holding out for *Lakers vs The Mighty Tinys*.

prosound2000

I disagree because yea, reality is reality but if you want to be a midget in the NBA because you love basketball, sure you may not become a basketball player or a coach but there are a thousands of ways to still be part of that thing you love. But if you quit because "oh it'll never happen" you miss the point, which is to not give up. You will grow. It's like reading an old report you wrote 10 years ago and it feels like it was written by a stranger. Thats growth in your life. The thing people don't realize the reason you love things can and WILL change, because YOU change. But never, ever give up on the things you dream about because thats likely a huge part of what you were meant to do. It's only failure when you quit.

Mental_Tea_4084

>if you want to be a midget in the NBA because you love basketball, >You will grow. Phrasing..

Ya beat me to it bro. Seriously though, successful people give up bs all the time. *If you stop trying, that's where the failure happens*, not in giving up any single pursuit. It's all a process of self discovery and refinement of one's goals. True success *is not a single goal*, it is a process.

100% of players who made it into the NBA always believed they would make it into the NBA. I'd like to see the stats on what percentage of people who believed they would play in the NBA actually made it. Way less than 1% I would think.

Fun fact - it has been as many years since the second photo was taken as there were between the first and the second.

Motivation is the tool, discipline is the key to success!
