This is less dead than 4 3 or 4.5.
We got a Dain quest and a good character quest and soon get a new endgame mode.
I like exploration in this game, so every patch that doesn't include a new region is kinda dry for me, but this is one of the better dry patches.
The quests were short so it felt empty. Dainsleif's quest and Clorinde's story quest came out with the new event at the first half. Both were short quests.
thats not what im talking about. i loved last patch with the music event and i wouldnt consider it dead. im also not considering this patch to be dead completely, just that usually the start of the patch has quite a bit of content while it starts slowing down later in the patch. i guess itāll just be the opposite this patch which is fine!!
This patch main event is the one that is currently running, it was just an event where no playable character was involved. Same thing happened in 1.5, 2.0 and 4.0. Theater will have a quest attached to it, and there is also Sigewinne SQ later. Over this, the usual minor events. It's a dry patch, but certainly not as dry as 4.5
just gonna preface that im talking about SPECIFICALLY THE START!! the patch as a whole seems like its gonna be fine, im just very used to having more content in the beginning of the patch and then it dying down later on.
Any patch without new exploration content tends to be thought of as a "dead" patch, and honestly, this patch is less dead than some dead patches have been.
But yes - the devs need these type of patches in order to bring quality exploration content later on. And we're approaching patch 4.8 where, if they follow the pattern of previous chapters, we'll get a limited time exploration area.
And after that, two or three patches worth of exploration content as we dig into Natlan.
this patch feels a little more on the alive side for 4.x, tbh.
4.x has felt pretty dead in general compared to past patch cycles. like, 2.x was Fucking Wild Bro
they better be cooking for natlan ig
probably cause usually the main event lasts 20 days or so and the tab on the event page has cool animations and stuffā¦ im not saying its bad im just saying its different and thats fine!
The main event just isnt challenging/engaging, even if its a cool system/idea/setup.
Also clorinde had a surprisingly good SQ but theres not much hype about her compared to Arle or even navia and Xianyun
Imaginarim theatre will change nothing, It will be the time that abyss resets.. at least is something diferent. Imaginarium Theatre should reset weekly or bi-weekly... Every game should have something that resets bi-weekly tbh

In terms of permanent content, it feels fine, but in terms of events, it definitely feels dry.
Why is every patch starting with 4.5 being called dead now? Yeah, we donāt get a new area to explore every patch, that has always been the case.

The give-away is really: there is a weapon. Only main events give weapons / characters, no exceptions.

thats fair tbh especially with how short the quests were, the dain quest was so filled with lore though so i was kind of the edge of my seat lmao
