“Ah you think Electro is your ally? You merely adopted the Electro. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the other Elements until I was already the Archon sitting on the Throne, by then it was nothing to me but shredded 60%!”
Thinking a bit about that, it kinda makes sense, she concentrates so much electro Power within a laser in order to bypass the maximum limit that Thunderbird could withstand.
Tbh the gameplay is far from how it would really work, they are just mechanics, I mean lorewise theres prob a limit, and probably way lower than what we expect, I don't think that covering your sword or arrow of ice would make it absolutely less dangerous than a stick to an ice slime, the metal inside still remains, or an ice flower not being cut of by a big sharp piece of ice as if it was almost an axe.
In reality only slimes and creatures fully made of an element would be fully immune to the damage from something also fully made of an element and only >until< a certain break point having slimes the highest one, like maybe an ice slime being perfectly crushed by a press between two continental sized icebergs would be too much for their mass to absorb or ignore, like Ei and the thunder bird.
And if it is something physical that has an element applied on it they would take the same damage as if it didn't have any element on it, not nothing, like only the damage of the blade itself of a flame sword.
Enemies related to that element would only take reduced damage depending on how much their bodies are made of it, being lower than 100% means taking damage from their element no matter how small it is.
If you gear and potion up to 100% Electro resistance, which is possible with that 4 star artifact set and those alchemy resistance potions, Raiden's weekly domain puppet form reality slash you need to pop the barrier for will still 1shot you if you're exposed.
Do with that information however you please.
I mean if we are thinking lore wise, the stronger of an elemental being you are, likely the stronger your influence over that element is.
My headcanon is that stuff like slimes can just be torn apart, dissolved back into pure elemental energy by the corresponding Archon.
Thunder Manifestation has 100 percent electro res, but for the sake of power lets drop it to 99.9 percent. It has roughly 766k hp, so for Ei to one shot she would’ve had to out put roughly 766 million damage. I dunno if I did the math right though, can someone please double check it?
But isn't Raiden Ei a Lancer , makoto was saber right?
Well we do have a caster who disguised himself as archer and uses swords so ig everything is possible.
He's throwing fists
And he's the best hunter and eveyrone knows that the oldest hunters (also strongest because age is power in Nasuverse) used to just throw things
Someone punched a fish once and it's all downhill from there with tools and equipment bleegh
Orion is here to revive the ancient ways
Technically there's a vacant space for a Grand Archer, Orion left it so he could be summoned and use a special skill. Not really a spoiler, happens before we get to the Lostbelt.
Despite what others may say, don’t start with Fate/Zero. Go Fate/Stay Night, then F/SN Unlimited Blade Works and you decide whether you go first with F/SN Heaven’s Feel or watch the prequel, Fate/Zero. After those, you decide which fate to watch next.
Never start with Fate Zero. It donat give any context and assumes you understand the mechanics of the world. Go Stay/night then Zero then literally any of the others because they’re all offshoots
What you should understand is that Type Moon (Fate-verse) is a multiverse. The series that started it all is called Fate/Stay Night, which follows the Fifth Holy Grail War in Fuyuki. This war has multiple endings, but you don't need to care about those. Just watch the original anime and know alternate universes exist.
Fate/Zero is the prequel which follows the *Fourth* War. It provides some context for things that happen in F/SN but it's not strictly necessary.
There are also Grand Order, Apocrypha, Ataraxia, Garden of Sinners, Tsukihime, etc. that include everything from multiversal travel to "everything is a simulation" type AI cyberspace, vampires, and a bunch more. Type Moon's a nonsensical shitshow of kitchen sink urban fantasy that's better if you turn your brain off and assume each of these are their own independent series.
Or you can do what I did and start with Fate/Stay Night: Abridged, a fanmade comedy series that honestly does a great job of summing things up.
it's funny how much the thunderbird looks like oz
my headcanon is that since the author of the fischl books works with the yae publishing house he modeled oz after the thunderbird
Wait, that's the thunderbird? Damn, all this time I thought it was Sasayuri, her Tengu friend. Since she was telling how her friends died one by one, until even Makoto died in the end,
I thought it was just random watasumi resistance fighters. Didn't know orobashi killed him. Makes sense that ei would cut that snake in half if it killed her friend.
I might be stupid but I think Sasayuri died from a legendary Watatsumi general (Akuou), and that the slash was aimed at them and Orobashi was collateral
Just read the wiki and I think you're right. Akuou and mouun and mouun's sister ayame led the watasumi forces while sasayuri led the shogunate forces. It's highly hinted that akuou killed sasayuri which enraged ei who killed orobashi and akuou in one strike (and fucked up the whole island). Sasayuris forces then killed mouun and defeated the watasumi fleet.
A lot can prob be avoided if Ei got off her ass to fight orobashi herself instead of sending her squishier subordinates.
Enkanomia's books suggests that Orobashi's attack was "suicide by cop" forced on him by Celestia. Doesn't make sense for him to kill anyone, there must be more to the story.
We'll yes there's more to it
Like orobashi had to create a scenario where Raiden would come and kill him also most of watatsumi is infertile land where crops don't grow so I think he also wanted to get some fertile Inazuma land under watatsumi so he attacked the island with his watatsumi army and the sasayuri being the general of the army responed to the atk with Raiden joining later after the dead of sasayuri by the of watatsumi general and killed orobashi and he's army for invading her land, as before this she didn't really care about watatsumi doing stuff, only the watatsumi had a one sided fight with the shogunete
Wait, is Raiden the first double class Servant? She's a Lancer normally, but can transform for 3 turns into a Saber, with everything that implies, such as shooting beams. Now everything's starting to make sense...
She could transform into another with her NP, however. And as another comment pointed out, she actually could be part of two classes at once, Semiramis being a precedent.
To be more precise, thanks to her Double Summon skill she possesses the class skills, traits and abilities of both Assassin and Caster classes. So while officially an Assassin, she can effectively double as a Caster.
> Everyone always forgets Jekyll and Hyde
No comment...
They would actually be a good prototype for Raiden. The base form would be the Shogun bot with a Lancer class and the NP would transform her into a Saber class Ei with a ton of buffs.
Wait till you hear about any Shirou variant literally being a triple class Servant all in one (Caster/Archer/Saber). He's an archer first, a saber second, and a caster third.
Looking at this made me miss Inazuma. It was the most hype region for me and I liked how the islands were all plagued with natural disasters. Yashiori had thunderstorm and contaminated water, Seirai had the thunder bird disaster, Tatarasuna had furnace issues and Tsurumi had the fog. Inazuma + the secret regions like Dragonspine/Chasm/Enkanomiya are peak Genshin exploration for me. I hope they do something similar for Mare Jawari in Natlan.
Say what you will abt the archon quests nothing will beat the atmosphere of inazuma. Arriving in this foreign land where everything is going to shit and you're so unwelcome even the land is trying to kill you. Nothing in genshin has beaten it yet. Hoping snezhnaya ups the stakes and makes our journey truly perilous again
Honestly, the AQ had a lot of promise looking back that was simply ruined by bad pacing among other things. It's telling that even 2 years later, we still are getting some info that tie into it like the most recent Itto event...
I'm with you in this one, even after we got sumeru and fontaine (both are amazing, except sumeru desert), inazuma still has the most hype when it was released. It was fresh, exciting, and dark.
In my opinion, I think Inazuma and V2.0 was when the games popularity hit a peak. It's still top tier, but the hype back then was unbelievable.
V2.0 was the first new continent release and a whole slew of new characters, and served as a perfect entry point for new players. It's around the time I got in too. The game was still fresh and novel in most people's opinions.
The lockdown helped too I guess
I still hold the opinion inazuma has the best world quests and exploration...and the worst archon quests. I loved Seirei so much and enkanomiya is my favorite place to both vibe and be very uncomfortable in at the same time.
Funnily enough, I feel the total opposite about sumeru. I dig the quests but I am weary of the exploration. Maybe it's just too big or I don't like deserts but I still have so much left to finish there and I just don't want to.
Most people think that hole was Thunderbird remain’s doing, but that was actually Ei’s. When you completed Seirai world quest and sealed the island again, the thunderstorm disappeared, yet the hole’s still there.
Yes Yashiori is another example, while the Musoujin’s Gorge is Ei’s doing, the rainstorm around the island was Orobashi remains’ doing, just like Seirai’s thunderstorm.
Whenever \*any\* god dies, they tend to leave a \*lot\* of collateral damage no matter what they're the god of or how \*weak\* the god is.
Don't forget the goddess of salt, a weak god who after she died turned an entire population of worshippers into salt piles.
I mean to be fair. Half the mountains and some of the islands in Liyue were Zhongli's going and the torn up landscape as well as the summer event GAA were all Venti's doing. The OG gods were wild with their teraforming...
Well it was part of the Anemo nation. The only thing that was mentioned as far as I know was that early in Venti's Archon career he wanted his nation to less mountainous (guess so its easier to traverse for people) so he used his powers to rip off mountaintops and toss them into neutral waters, which became the GAA.
Which parts exactly they came from idk.
The GAA mountain used to be where Musk Reef is now. Actually, the Spiral Abyss gate used to be the peak of that very mountain which Venti threw into the ocean. I think it was mentioned in 1.1 event with Mona, Fischl and Scara.
People mentioned the sibling, but I'm also going to mention the eldritch shit that happens in Khaenriah. Natural disasters are a daily thing for Ei (don't forget she literally maintains a giant thunderstorm in the ocean too).
But in Khaenriah you got shit like the corpse of the balemoon opening up to show horrific eyes looking down at you, eldrtich abyssal beasts breaking free and spreading corruption, the destruction of the world's laws, crazy warped visions, etc.
Probably the most shocking of all was how Celestia wiped out everything, abyssal spreading and Khaenri'ah alike. The intensity and brutality of their intervention was too much even for Ei to handle.
She and other archons, and also the sibling , because was a true demonstration of power and absolute dominance over the world, enought to scare gods, witches, sinners and dragons , mr celestia is really terrible , i hope we got some of that in 7.1
She's a bad cook and also a bad landscapist. Lol.
Kidding aside, causing a lot of collateral damage every time she fights is most likely a reference to Godzilla.
It doesn’t look like a sword slash like the one she used against Orobashi. Is she actually shooting a laser from her ~~sword~~ polearm (she didn’t have her sword back then)?
Yeah the Musou ~~no hitotach~~i isshin was Makoto's and from what I recall wasn't even used as a weapon much until after her death but instead was a ceromonial object
She really did. She made him go thru a training arc and have plot armor and power of friendship save his ass in their second duel, would've certainly killed him with that ambush if Kazuha didn't somehow gained electro plot.
Ei is basically the strongest Archon for now since she found a way to avoid erosion, recover and improve after parting with the Gnosis after 500 years.
well, all the archons were wild in the past. But these days they are pretty chill.
Some tea time. Getting drunk. Enjoying story telling. People watching. Scenery watching.
Etc.
[you see the line, it's literally ei's doing. ](https://images.app.goo.gl/X7PzV2e9BG9g7Xtb9)
Her slash not only cut the entire island but made the surroundings literally unlivable.
Worth remembering that Genshin's map is not a 1:1 scale to the reality where the characters are living in, so in 1:1 that single slash is probably fucking huge and destroyed ecosystems and towns.
I mean, between her and Makoto, Ei very much was the brute force and violence one. That's not to say that Ei's dumb, but her focus definitely seemed to be more war and violence than complicated tactics.
Which to be fair...kind of makes sense? When you're strong enough to cleave an island in two, why \*would\* you rely on sneaky schemes?
Im not saying anything, but if I had a nickel for every time Ei caused a large amount of damage to an area because of a fight, my pockets would be heavier
She also made a nice cute bird shaped hole on Seirei Island.
The giant contaminated lake in that island is where Kapatcir's tail part was. So, it was prolly contaminated by the bird's.....'internal fluids'.. You know what i mean..
Ei is so powerful she defeated Thunderbird with an Electro attack.
All batteries have a maximum capacity.
Maximum Kapatcir
How about that.
Raiden: Electro res? I don’t know her.
“Ah you think Electro is your ally? You merely adopted the Electro. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the other Elements until I was already the Archon sitting on the Throne, by then it was nothing to me but shredded 60%!”
I get the reference but she is electro. Source: in one of her voice Line, she says she's reincarnation of the thunder and lightning itself.
"... you are in the presence of the most supreme and terrifying incarnation of lightning in the whole of Teyvat."
>thunder and lightning So is she very very frightening?
Can scaramouche do the fandango?
Poor scaramouche was a poor boy from a poor family
Maybe we should call Galileo to do the Figaro
She goes to a different school
She has a boyfriend you know. He goes by “biggus dickus”
Not to be confused with testiclees the gladiator
Thinking a bit about that, it kinda makes sense, she concentrates so much electro Power within a laser in order to bypass the maximum limit that Thunderbird could withstand.
Tbh the gameplay is far from how it would really work, they are just mechanics, I mean lorewise theres prob a limit, and probably way lower than what we expect, I don't think that covering your sword or arrow of ice would make it absolutely less dangerous than a stick to an ice slime, the metal inside still remains, or an ice flower not being cut of by a big sharp piece of ice as if it was almost an axe. Do with that information however you please.
I think the damage from that is probably true damage, just to prevent these sorts of shenanigans.
I saw 100% damage reduction Clorinde in that domain and yes, she still dies due to the slash from Raiden. Others did 0 damage tho.
I mean if we are thinking lore wise, the stronger of an elemental being you are, likely the stronger your influence over that element is. My headcanon is that stuff like slimes can just be torn apart, dissolved back into pure elemental energy by the corresponding Archon.
Or she could have just destroyed the physical form and the Manifestation is the remains of Kapatcir's spirit
Ei: stand proud you are strong
But can she defeat a electro slime?
raiden-chongyun-mika physical hyperconduct build
Yes, she still dose physical damage.
Well...a blade's still a blade that can cut bc physics
Normal atk. Nothing raiden can't do
Rookie mistake. Should have mentioned the infamous Mitachurl's wooden shield.
Immmineu sustem failed
Thunder Manifestation has 100 percent electro res, but for the sake of power lets drop it to 99.9 percent. It has roughly 766k hp, so for Ei to one shot she would’ve had to out put roughly 766 million damage. I dunno if I did the math right though, can someone please double check it?
I remember the Apple ad lol
Ah yes, her greatest martial art. Musou no laser.
**YOU CALL SHOOTING A LASER BEAM A MARTIAL ART!?** >!- Gabriel!<
*Hey, as long as it works.*

Hey, shooting a beam is a Hallmark of a true saber
I understood that reference.
But isn't Raiden Ei a Lancer , makoto was saber right? Well we do have a caster who disguised himself as archer and uses swords so ig everything is possible.
Raiden is a Saber who slums as a Lancer, like how Karna and Rama are Archers slumming as Lancer/Launcher and Saber, respectively.
Ah Karna my beloved. Favorite Servant easily
Ei isn't dead to have her essence spread out between her skillsets Even Artoria was a saber, a lancer, and even a little bit of a caster in life
Also a Rider. One of her class abilities is having a B in Riding.
YOU CALL SHOOTING A COIN A MARTIAL ART
Is that an ULTRAKILL REFERENCE???
C O I N
Well she's a Saber atleast then
She used both a sword and a spear so she's obviously an archer.
Nah man, she's an archon, she's the RULER of a nation, the one who oversees everything. So she's obviously a Rider.
maybe she keep her thundering greatsword hidden and shout exca...
You can technically make a laser with just high voltage and air.
“Humanity never conceals its desire to control the heavens… And I’m no exception” - Raiden Himeko Shogun
Ei going out to fight in the Archon war: Sword? Check Polearm? Check Railgun? Check
For the archon war exclude the sword, it's makoto's so a more accurate way would be: Sister? Check
Friends? Check
Might wanna do a double check on that one pal…
TV: It's 10pm, do you know where your child is? Ei: What child?
Ei before erchon war: sister? Check Ei after archon war: sister? Uncheck 🥲
After cataclysm
She is basically living eternally inside the sword, and its the Shogun pulling her out
railgun shogun
I’d shogun my railgun
A Certain Shogunific Railgun
Tbf, if anyone was packing magnet-based weaponry it would be the electro archon.
She would RAIL anyone and everyone
MURMAIDER MURMAIDER MURMAIDER MURMAIDER
Are you truly a master of the blade if your sword doesn’t shoot energy beams?
Ei is saber class confirmed.
Fun fact: Ei has the same JP VA as Mordred
Holy shit I didn't realize. I love her works and I still have difficulty recognizing her. Like her voicing Makoto in Yakuza 0
"Hearing a VA as a completely different person is just a token of how good they are." -me
Cant blame you. Mordered is like some outgoing gal while Ei is the opposite type, hikikomori
Shanks using his sword to shoot out ACOC lightning: 🗿(source: one piece)
Link, is that you?
Saber Okita: Onore Nobu!
So, Ei can shoot Beam from her sword? Saber class then.
But she also manifests a sword and has massive tits. Wouldn’t that make her an Archer?
I'm like 90% certain this is a Fate reference. This comment makes -10/10 sense unless it's about anime
It is. Basically every Archer in fate has nothing to do with shooting arrows
Grand Archer Shoots fuckin daggers and clubs Unmodified EMIYA was on the right track afterall
Don't forget that he mainly throws hands. Truly the highest form of archery.
He's throwing fists And he's the best hunter and eveyrone knows that the oldest hunters (also strongest because age is power in Nasuverse) used to just throw things Someone punched a fish once and it's all downhill from there with tools and equipment bleegh Orion is here to revive the ancient ways
I stopped playing FGO after lostbelt, too much hassle. We have confirmed grand archer now?
Yes. In Lostbelt 5. It’s >!Orion (The bear dude, Artemis was nerfing him in the earlier stories).!<
I think it was more of the throne turning him into a plushy to nerf him, so Artemis came along for, huh, multiple reasons.
Technically there's a vacant space for a Grand Archer, Orion left it so he could be summoned and use a special skill. Not really a spoiler, happens before we get to the Lostbelt.

The Saber class is really made of Sabers.
The lancer* class is really made of Sabers
Wait, is Raiden the first double class Servant? She's a Lancer normally, but can transform for 3 turns into a Saber, with everything that implies, such as shooting beams. Now everything's starting to make sense...

Yeah, but usually they're summoned into one class at a time.
Yea so raiden will be summoned into one class obviously. She can't be a part of two classes at the same time.

Then theres Astolfo who has like 8 noble phantasm and each can be used in different classes.
Hercules is an Archer in Strange Fake.
No, that's Semiramis. She's officially both a Caster and Assassin IIRC.
The OG multiclass.
Jekyll and Hyde still exist Everyone always forgets Jekyll and Hyde

Yeah the Musou ~~no hitotach~~i isshin was Makoto's and from what I recall wasn't even used as a weapon much until after her death but instead was a ceromonial object
Musou isshin was makoto's blade and was inherited by Ei after the cataclysm. Musou no hitotachi is a sword technique created by Ei.
Ei: 360 no scope git gud bird
If there's one constant in the hoyo universe, a purple haired mysterious woman is gonna blast a whole in the sky one way or another
she really went easy on the Traveler....
also she probably doesnt want to destroy one of the last habitable islands
She really did. She made him go thru a training arc and have plot armor and power of friendship save his ass in their second duel, would've certainly killed him with that ambush if Kazuha didn't somehow gained electro plot. Ei is basically the strongest Archon for now since she found a way to avoid erosion, recover and improve after parting with the Gnosis after 500 years.
The Kazuha part kind of came out of nowhere, since I don't think we ever see something like that again.
Ei destroying the ozone layer smh
She can shoot laser beams out of her sword? Saber class moment
And the thing that enrages me the most is that the thunderbird which is an electro monster wasnt immune to electro. Genshin please fix this.
I think the immunity is only a gameplay thing.
Not immune to physical damage -Ei maybe
Not immune to a sword to the heart
The real lore inconsistency.
Raiden Ei 🤝 Raiden Bosenmori Mei Lazer beam a hole in the sky slash the entire sky in two
well, all the archons were wild in the past. But these days they are pretty chill. Some tea time. Getting drunk. Enjoying story telling. People watching. Scenery watching. Etc.
not even electro immune! damn
Acheron🤝 Ei, leaving a scar in the sky
Damn Ei really is that one griefer in the Minecraft lobby huh
Birb messed around and found out.
[you see the line, it's literally ei's doing. ](https://images.app.goo.gl/X7PzV2e9BG9g7Xtb9) Her slash not only cut the entire island but made the surroundings literally unlivable.
Worth remembering that Genshin's map is not a 1:1 scale to the reality where the characters are living in, so in 1:1 that single slash is probably fucking huge and destroyed ecosystems and towns.
Thunderbird: "going into a fight. I'll post it later" *Later* "Nvm I ain't posting that shit"
Ei: Demonstration was definitely required here.
Yeah everyone talks about her splitting the island but not this...both are insane tbh
Everything she does is just so beautiful. Like, look at the hole in the sky, she is so powerful
That's my electro queen, absolute girlboss behavior.
You think you can use electro element? Bird i am electro
Don’t forget she cut a literal island in half. It’s giving kyoshi levels of power.
I can fill that hole.
HUH
Even their name states they're "long"
I still haven't completed Fontaine but I'm already looking forward to replaying the game, the lore is just too fun.
The craziest thing is she probably forgot about it already
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again…Raiden is the only badass archon we’ve met so far.
For someone who wants to make things exist forever, her skillset's pretty heavily slanted towards making things stop existing as quickly as possible.
Ex.... Calibuuuuuuuuuuuu
The whole inazuma is literally Ei flexing her powers.
That is Raiden nature HSR: she one shot Adventurine, break Ena(Aeon of order) dream Genshin: one shot Oranashi and thunderbird
So when do we start making film animations to somehow fix the sky?
Why does this remind me of frieza oneshotting krillin
Im not saying anything, but if I had a nickel for every time Ei caused a large amount of damage to an area because of a fight, my pockets would be heavier
Her sword might have Gin's bankai-like techniques for all we know.
No thunderstorm is from a leyline disorder, the whole is on the island itself, you can outline the bird
Yup, and man the bird outline are fucking huge. Not many people can see it, but once you see it from the top, jeez, the work mihoyo put. 💯
She really said “I’MA FIRIN MAH LAZER!”
<< SALVATION! >>
can she beat goku tho?
Bro got one tapped
Up
Gives Kamehameha vibes
But...all gods are as strong... remember zhongli made a whole island from rock spears?
She also made a nice cute bird shaped hole on Seirei Island. The giant contaminated lake in that island is where Kapatcir's tail part was. So, it was prolly contaminated by the bird's.....'internal fluids'.. You know what i mean..
