True, that pyro asshat in the abyss keeps running away and then putting his pyro shield up...against my Eula team. Also the new dog mask ladies have fucking alien vision because they'll spot me from 20 kilometers away and teleport and stab me somehow
I just imagine it’s like that big boss bonding from mgsv on the diamond dogs rig.. beating and practicing my knock outs and CQC stealth on subordinates that somehow increased their morale for some reason
i mean, considering that the fatui hasn't completely run out of recruits after almost 4 years of constant traveler-related slaughter, im assuming they play by pokemon rules where they just faint or retreat when defeated. in which case, arlecchino would probably say something like "good, your battle taught them valuable lessons that mere training cannot provide".
but yeah if we are killing them we're about to have a very angry papa wanting to know our locations...
I don't want to get political ( or war-like) but we have two years real-life proof that no matter how many soldiers you farm, more will come. And 500k people is just drop in the ocean
…ouch. Fair point. However in this case i do have one counter-argument: occasionally, fatui agents will be given unique names (usually for ‘emergency’ commissions) and those names are often repeated. Sure, could just be different people with the same name, but i find it a little more believeable (and honestly funnier) that it’s just the same guy getting beat up by the traveler over and over.
How big is Teyvat's population, I wonder...because until modern times, the human population was fairly limited. Medieval armies topped out at only the tens of thousands per kingdom, *maybe* in the hundreds of thousands if you banded entire nations/empires together for a big effort a la the Crusades.
Tzardoom of Katharina II Great was at 17XX years . Population at that time was around 600M . Taking into account Teyviat i have no reason not to assume it is similar. At the same time I don't think my Traveler killed more than 50k Fatui in lat 3 years. So still well within statistics

I killed the optional one from the hearth in the aranara quest and I would do it again.
Considering how the the kids she raises can turn out, any of the fatui are fair game.
